It’s been such a busy month for me, or I’ve just been really unmotivated, not sure which now that I look back on it. But no matter what’s going on with my, my kids have to eat. So I have to cook. As a Sun-Bird Seasonings Ambassador I finally decided to get creative with one of their seasoning packets. I picked the Stir Fry packet cut up all our vegetables and made Apple Chicken Stir Fry over coos coos. YUM!
The Stir-Fry Seasoning mix is the perfect place to start when creating stir-fry. In fact you don’t need anything else. You could just follow the directions on the back of the package or find recipes for Sun-Bird Seasonings on their website and more information on the Sun-Bird Seasonings Facebook fan page.
Now first you may think, Apple Chicken Sausage?? What’s that? For one, Johnsonville makes chicken sausage, second, they don’t make anything plane over there at Johnsonville. This particular chicken sausage is apple flavored and it was a perfect addition to our stir fry creation.
The kids ATE IT UP!
I picked both of their favorite veggies. Zoe loves cucumbers and Miles loves peppers. They both love carrots which I happened to be out of but next time I’m putting them in. I sautéed the veggies until they were soft. Then I cut up two sausage links and added them in for about five more minutes. Next I added the Sun-Bird stir fry seasoning.
Then I added 1/4 cup soy sauce.
Cooked the coos coos according to the directions and then stirred it all together.
