It took us two months to get our house put back together all because a 50.00 toilet didn’t have enough power to flush toilet paper. So many people thought for sure that the kids tried to flush some toys down the toilet, nope, nothing that Krazy, but if you have something Krazy you want to share, go share it and win something for your Krazy story.

Mars Needs Moms Blu-ray High-Def DVD Combo Pack Giveaway

Mars Needs Moms is quite a tear jerker of a movie for me. The little boy in the movie reminds me of my own son, even though there is a slight age difference. Miles is the name of my son, he has adorable red hair and the kid in the movie, Milo, well he has adorable red hair too. The movie starts off with Milo and his mom not getting along very well. Milo’s mom is strict as am I, and he gets upset and says something regrettable.

MNM_2010_Dec3_01492-1

How often that has happened in our own house, even at such a very young age they learn to say things that hurts mom and dad. I started crying, I’m a sap! In Mars Needs Moms that’s exactly when the aliens decide to take his mom. I cried again!

MarsNeedsMomBlurayComboart

Mars Needs Moms is brought to life by the performances of Seth Green (TV‘s ―Family Guy‖) as Milo, Joan Cusack (Toy Story 2 & 3) as Milo‘s Mom, Dan Fogler (Kung Fu Panda, Robot Chicken) as Gribble and Elizabeth Harnois (A Single Man, TV‘s ―90210‖) as Ki and is directed by Simon Wells (The Time Machine, The Prince of Egypt) and produced by Robert Zemeckis (Disney‘s A Christmas Carol, Forrest Gump). It is approximately 88 minutes long and rated PG.

The actors were filmed just like the actors in Alice in Wonderland, it’s a fully white world and then it’s Disney magic that makes them all into a cartoonish/real looking. You can tell I’m all caught up on the technical jargon right?

Anyways, back to the movie plot. Milo has to sneak aboard the alien spaceship to save his mom. And that’s where his intergalactic adventure begins.

MNMImage3_JPG

He makes many new friends as he tries to save his mother from the evil Martians. Well turns out just one of them is evil the rest are all following orders. You’ll have to watch Mars Needs Moms to see if he succeeds, and how his friendships develop along the way. But I will tell you that this sappy mom right here cried again two more times as the movie came to a close. I’ve heard a lot of criticism on this movie, but I really did like it and have an attachment to it. It’s not for all ages, but I will probably be letting my kids watch it. And with 4 discs to watch there is plenty of bonus material.

MARS NEEDS MOMS

Extended Opening – The movie begins… but wait, there‘s more. See it here.

Life On Mars: The Full Motion-Capture Experience – Go way behind the scenes to the ‗space‘ where the actors‘ performances are captured. “Flower Power” Easter Egg – the name of the show that Ki watched and learned English from is entitled ―Freaks on the Street.‖

“Fun With Seth” – The cast and crew had a galaxy of fun making Mars Needs Moms, thanks to the on-set antics of Seth Green and Dan Fogler. Watch them do the ROM dance see them compete to see who can do their verbal ROM the fastest, and much more.

Martian 101 – Do you speak Martian? Go behind the scenes and see how the producer and cast came up with their own unique Martian language. Then learn how to speak it yourself with lessons from a leading Martian language expert.

clip_image008DREW KOLES (Kevin Miller)

The son of a Canadian father and American mother, Drew was born in Sacramento, California where he lived until the age of four. In 2000, his father moved the family to British Columbia, Canada where he received his Canadian citizenship before returning to California in 2006.

The youngest of three children and an only son, Drew has always been known for his natural wit and easygoing charm. Happy by nature, never shy, he loves making people laugh and is always entertaining those around him. Growing up, Drew took part in school skits and drama performances. He was a favorite with his teachers, especially his choir teacher.

At age eleven, just after returning to California, Drew told his mother he wanted to be an actor and make movies. His favorite actor at the time was Hayden Christensen and he had watched the Star Wars movies over and over so many times that he could quote whole passages of dialogue. He started taking an acting class but soon after told his mother it was boring. However, it didn’t change his mind about wanting to be an actor.

Later he asked to attend an event where he performed a monologue from Huckleberry Finn for numerous talent agents and managers. He was an obvious favorite and shortly following the event, Drew signed with a Los Angeles talent agency and a manager. With the support of his family, it wasn’t long before he was living in LA and pursuing his dream full time.

And like a dream come true, Drew consistently meets every goal he sets for himself. From starring in his first student film, to booking a lead role in his first feature film, he continues to reach higher as his dreams get bigger. Some of Drew’s 2011 goals are to book a feature film and a series regular role. He also noted he would like to work with Joseph Gordon Levitt, Andrew Garfield, Russell Crowe and Ridley Scott someday in the future.

Bumbleride Strollers Ride Of Your Life 2010 Flite Review

Bumbleride strollers just make children smile!

IMG_2179

Ok, yeah, he’s just posing for the camera. But the padding on his bum is about an inch thick, so it looks like a comfy ride to me. He didn’t want to get out of it. With so many different strollers to choose from, Bumbleride is sure to be the “ride of your life”. Check out this “Ride Of Your Life” video:

A while back I had the pleasure of reviewing the Bumbleride Flyer and then I donated the stroller to my MOMS Club. I love working with Bumbleride because they allow me to use the review as a donation instead of returning it to them. Be sure to check out the Bumbleride Flyer. This time they sent me the Bumbleride Flite in red. The material on the stroller also comes in a natural line called “Natural Edition”.

Bumbleride Natural Edition-Walnut4

The Natural Edition features a blend of recycled and bamboo fabrics tailored to give your little one an ultra-soft touch. The seat lining of Natural Edition is woven using a soft fiber mix, including bamboo, which has the natural ability to absorb moisture, regulate temperature, and inhibit bacterial growth. The exterior fabric is made with 50% recycled material. This Bumbleride collection was inspired by and designed for the eco-minded parent looking for a more refined fabric and aesthetic. Natural Edition is a product of Bumbleride’s passion for the environment as well as the use of innovative materials. It features a blend of recycled and bamboo fabrics tailored to give your little one an ultra-soft touch. The seat lining of Natural Edition is woven using a soft fiber mix, including bamboo, which has the natural ability to absorb moisture, regulate temperature, and inhibit bacterial growth. The exterior fabric is made with 50% recycled material.

Now for the Flite Stroller Review. We dumped out the box to see what all we had.

Four wheels

 IMG_2170

The Baby Seat attachment

IMG_2173

And the stroller folded up in the compact position.

IMG_2175

Attaching the wheels is so easy. You just pop them on, and the front wheels that allow you to change directly, you can choose to lock them if you want. Locking them will make you go forward and backward only, you know you won’t be able to turn. By pushing this gray piece the wheels will then be locked.

IMG_2178

(remember that I reviewed last years model so the newer model has a few differences like the SPF 45 sun Canopy, please be sure to review the current product information on their site, and be sure to read which version you are purchasing when you buy one from any store)

Other than the wheels, the only other part that needs assembly is the SPF 45 sun canopy. The sun canopy also snaps right into place and extends over your child as you can see in the picture above with Miles. The seat also reclines pretty far back and I love how easy it is to reline and lock back into place. The harness is a 5 point harness and strapping the kids into place is also a breeze. The best thing about Bumbleride is the simplicity is carried out in every feature of the stroller.

Key Features:

Compact Fold
Independent Wheel Suspension
Reclining Backrest
Adjustable footrest
Rigid Backrest support
Car Seat Compatibility
SPF 45 Sun Canopy

Holds children up to 50 pounds, and is only 13 pounds itself, making travel lighter. Comes with the car seat adapter bar, infant headrest * shoulder pads, shoulder strap, and a cup holder. And if you’ve read any of my other stroller reviews then you know I love a good cup holder.

Strawberry Panna Cotta Recipe

We love to buy food at warehouse stores to save money. It’s the same price as buying smaller at the grocery store, but we can’t always make it through that much produce. To help cut down on food waste and keep meals diverse, Sam’s Club is providing families with seven unexpected ways to use a single delicious meal item commonly found in their kitchen. By visiting SamsClub.com/Meals each week, you will find seven different ways to get the maximum use out of a weekday food staple. For example, use a citrusy summer fruit to add zest to a salad, create a salmon salsa or whip up a lush panna cotta.
