Hudson Entertainment Double Feature #Giveaway Deca Sports 3 and Oops Prank Party

Hudson Entertainment creates fun games for Wii that are geared towards young children. Which is the whole reason we purchased the Wii in the first place. My husband and I were looking for games that he and I could play together that didn’t take a lot of gamer skill. I’m not a masterful gamer even though I have played some pretty intense games. I really enjoy these fun games and I like using the Wiimotes even though I stink at it and sometimes it drives me crazy but I still enjoy it. I know I’m really weird I can complain and say I like something at the exact time. Don’t worry, my husband has trouble understanding me too. Winking smile

We received Oops Prank Party and Deca Sports 3 from Hudson Entertainment. Deca Sports 3 appeals more to the children because they have been watching and trying to play Deca Sports 2 for almost a year now. We have Deca Sports 2 on the Nintendo DS. Zoe has been playing it and making her team the purple team. Oops Prank Party appeals to me with the puzzles and problem solving. I get addicted to games like that. My favorite mode would probably have to be board mode but I also like free play.

Both Deca Sports 3 and Oops Prank party have been recognized for their positive impact on children by the 2010 National Parenting Publications Awards (NAPPA) Children’s Products competition, a program sponsored by Dominion Parenting Media and promoted in association with parenting publishers across the United States. Published by Hudson Entertainment, the North and South American subsidiary of HUDSON SOFT, DECA SPORTS 3 and Oops! Prank Party are Honors winners in the 2010 NAPPA Children’s Products competition. The original DECA SPORTS won the Gold Award of the 2008 NAPPA Children’s Products competition. To date, the DECA SPORTS series has sold over four million units worldwide.

imageAbout Oops Prank Party:

“Oops! Prank Party represents the latest and greatest of Hudson’s long history of party games, but with a wacky new twist,” said Dai Kudo, Director of Consumer Products for Hudson Entertainment. “Families and friends will find that they have much to laugh at – each other – with Oops! Prank Party’s wide variety of pranks and costumes.”

Oops! Prank Party even makes losing fun with embarrassing costumes and pranks for the mini-game winner to assign to any losing player, who will be stuck in the silly costume for the duration of the game.  With unlockable levels and one of the most robust avatar creators in a party game, players can put their personality directly into the game, including more than 500 avatar customization elements.

Oops! Prank Party features four play modes to get the party started: Master mode invites up to three players to try and best the master computer player in a series of challenges. Board mode puts a spin on gameplay by placing players on one of seven boards in a race for points. Features:

  • Tackle the Master mode with up to 3 players to best the Master computer opponent! Take your pick from 9 party game mixes and work together as a team to best the Master.
  • Board mode puts a spin on the gameplay by placing up to four players on your pick of 4 board types. Play an assortment of different games as you cross the board competing for who has the most Gold medals at the end!
  • Free Play mode gives the player free reign to construct their own party game playlist based on what games have been unlocked.
  • Trial Mode plays host to a straight forward competition between 4 of your friends or families to see who’s got the best skills in stages already played in the Master Mode!
  • Featuring one of the most robust avatar creators in a party game, you’ll be able to create your onscreen personality to play as throughout the game

Wii New Carnival Games Over 30 New Games and Attractions

carnival_games2K Play released New Carnival Games on September 21, 2010. New Carnival Games has even more games than the first Carnival Games, count them, over 30 new games and attractions for you and your family to enjoy together. It’s always great to find a game that the family can play together and it’s simple enough for really young ones to play. This is geared towards kids so if you are looking for a challenge you might want to pass, but if you’re looking for a way for the family to spend some time together then give it a try.

These games are fun and have full compatibility with the Wii MotionPlus controller accessory. You start the game by customizing your character. Choose your eyes, hair and skin tone. We always have fun making avatars for the games we play. Zoe and Miles always know which one is Mommy and it’s fun to listen to them say, “it’s Mommy!”

There are five game alleyways pointing to an alley of game play. Play bumper cars, fish bowl bounce, and pitch a plate, the only place that you can break a plate and not get grounded. I love playing ski ball in the actual arcade arena. So Gold Rush Alley Ball is one of my favorite games to play in New Carnival Games. Retailing for just $39.99 for Wii and $29.99 for Nintendo DS, New Carnival Games makes the perfect addition to family night!

Here’s your ticket to over 30 all-new games and attractions! Bring home the midway magic with favorites like Fish Bowl Bounce, Pitch-A-Plate and Bottle Stand-Up. Enter the Haunted House if you dare and even bound around in Bumper Cars. With over 300 prizes yours for the winning…the fun never ends with New Carnival Games!

Synopsis:

You can almost taste the popcorn and cotton candy. You can almost hear the joyful music and the sound of laughter jingling through the air. That’s right — the carnival is coming back to town, and the entire family will want to come out for the wacky attractions, addicting games and rollicking fun it’s bringing along. Bounce on into a vibrant and exciting world — once you start playing, you’ll never want to leave.
New Carnival Games brings the fun of the carnival into your living room, and gets the whole family together for skill-testing competitive and cooperative games accompanied by side-splitting laughs. This time, you’ll experience a world of brand-new adventures that are wackier than ever and win exciting wearables from the biggest prize rack you’ve ever seen. For the first time ever at the Carnival, you can use your Wii MotionPlus controller accessory (not included). Step right up to the ultimate carnival for family fun like never before — and you don’t even have to wait in line.

Key Features:

Toy Story 3 Return of the AstroNUT!

clip_image001[4]Toy Story 3 was the first movie we took the kids to see in the theater. We went during naptime hoping that just in case they weren’t able to sit there for a few hours watching a movie that they would take a nap. Umm, Toy Story Three captivated their attention and they could do nothing but stare at the screen and watch it. Occasionally they would ask, what happened to Woody, what happened to Buzz. Oh know, did they get thrown in the garbage? It was so much fun for all of us. So as soon as we could pre-order it we did. Thanks to Disney we received a free copy, so look forward to a giveaway later this month, of course, I have a special surprise to go along with the Blu-ray, you’ll just have to wait and see.

In Toy Story 3, imageAndy has grown up and the toys are desperate to get him to play with them. They fear that when he goes off to college he’s just going to throw them away. Turns out he wanted to keep them in the attic but they accidentally get donated to Sunnyside Daycare; a place run by Lotso bear. The toys quickly find out it’s not the best place to be after all, and Buzz tries to make an arrangement with Lotso and that’s when the Astronut returns. Toy Story 3 isn’t titled return of the astronut because that’s just a small part of the movie, but it is one of my favorite lines. Woody asks, Where’s Buzz. Jessie says something like they did something to him. Hammy says, yeah, Return of the Astronut. And Woody slaps his own head because he completely understands what that means. LOL.

imageWhat adults don’t like Toys Story, with all of the innuendos and little funny nuances. It’s a perfect combination of kids movie that adults can love too! My kids love Toy Story 1, 2 and 3, whose don’t?  They have Woody, Jessie, Buzz and….. yes they are just a tad bit spoiled, but you would never notice by their attitudes. Miles has Toy Story Bedding to go along with his Robot themed room. I know Buzz isn’t a robot, he’s a spaceman but it’s close enough for a 2 year old. I thought for sure Miles would only be happy as Buzz for Halloween, but look at my little red headed cowboy. He dressed up as Woody and was quite excited. We have a new dog, her name is Abby but the kids said that in honor of Halloween, Abby became known as Slinky Dog!

So that is our family story involving Toy Story 3. I have included some videos and DVD specs below, and I hope you enjoy the show!

Story Boards:

01_tt300_50q_storyboard.special16.296.jpg_rgb#1_Story:

This storyboard was drawn by Toy Story 3 story artist Jeff Pidgeon and is one of approximately 500 drawings done by various story artists in the final storyreel of Sequence # 300 – Warm Welcome, where the toys are welcomed by Lotso and tour the Butterfly room at Sunnyside Daycare.

02_tt300_50q_art.special16.296.jpg_rgb#2_Art:

This concept art piece was done by Toy Story 3 Art Director Dice Tsutsumi, showcasing the exploration of color and design of new characters and new environments.

03_tt300_50qpub_layout.special16.296.jpg_rgb#3_Layout:

This frame shows the camera and staging phase which precedes character animation, known as Layout. The set is not fully built at this point and is finalized once layout is finished. Some background toys are still not present. Set dressing is also not final and will be refined once animation is completed.

04_tt300_50qpub_anim.special16.296.jpg_rgb#4_Animation:

Final character animation poses. The primary and secondary characters are animated by keyframe. Hundreds of background toys are populating Sunnyside Daycare.

tt300_50qpub.pub16.296.jpg_rgb#5_Final Clothing Simulation, Shading and Lighting:

Final animation of the characters’ clothes, which is animated by dynamic simulation.  In this shot, Barbie and Ken clothes are simulated.  This final frame shows the final shading (material textures) for the set and all of the surfaces have texture, color, patterns, and material properties that will respond appropriately when lit by the Lighting Department.

Final lighting. The Lighting Department is responsible for integrating all of the elements (characters, set pieces, cloth animation, etc.) to create the final imagery. The lighting is achieved by placing virtual light sources in the scene which illuminate on the characters and the set. Many dozens of lights are often required as well as lighting effects such as the shafts of sunlight seen in this shot. Lotso was a particularly challenging character for the Shading and Lighting Departments because he is completely covered with fur.

Tangled the Modern version of Rapunzel #Giveaway

tangledTangled is coming to theaters and we’re excited to go and see the sneak peak in a few weeks in 3D. It will be the first time that the kids get to see a 3D movie and only their third time to visit the theater. Disney has many fun activities that you can do to hype up your own kids for the movie. Download Tangled Family Activities

RAPUNZEL may have lived her entire life locked inside a hidden tower, but Rapunzel is no damsel in distress. The girl with the 70 feet of golden hair is an energetic, inquisitive teenager who fills her days with art, books, and imagination.  Rapunzel is full of curiosity about the outside world, and she can’t help but feel that her true destiny lies outside of the lonely tower walls.  Rapunzel has always obeyed Mother Gothel by staying hidden away and keeping her magical hair a secret… but with her 18th birthday just a day away, she is fed up with her sheltered life and ready for adventure.  When a charming thief seeks refuge in her tower, Rapunzel defies Gothel and seizes the opportunity to answer the call of the kingdom.  With the unwilling Flynn Rider along for the journey, Rapunzel leaves the tower for the first time, and begins a hilarious, hair-raising journey that will untangle many secrets along the way.
