Raise Money For the Month of Movember

My husband and a group of men he works with are all participating in the month of Movember for the Movember Foundation. October was huge when it came to raising awareness for breast cancer and helping out women, but I haven’t heard much in the way of raising awareness for men and prostate cancer and that is what the month of Movember is all about. So I’m really proud of my husband and wanted to help him raise awareness for Men’s health by supporting him on my blog. He’s been very vocal about this cause, answering everyone’s questions about what he’s doing. He sent me the following e-mail and I want to share it with everyone else:

This Movember I’ve decided to donate my face to raising awareness about cancers that affect men. My commitment is the growth of a moustache for the entire month of Movember, which I know will generate conversation, controversy and laughter.

I’m doing this because:

- 1 in 2 men will be diagnosed with cancer in his lifetime

- 1 in 6 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer during his lifetime

This is a cause that I feel passionately about and I’m asking you to support my efforts by making a donation to support the great work of the Prostate Cancer Foundation and LIVESTRONG. To help, you can either:

The Movember Foundation works from prevention, to survivorship, through to finding a better screening test and treatment options for prostate cancer and Movember is having an impact.The Movember Foundation works with LIVESTRONG improving the lives of young adults and their families battling and surviving cancer and with Prostate Cancer Foundation looking for a better screening test and for better treatment options.

Playmobil School Gym

Playmobil is also participating in our Holiday Toy Drive. I love playmobil because they are so creative and diverse. They appeal to all ages and inspire lots of imagniative play with the building and playing. They sent us the Playmobil School Gym to donate to the charity of our choice. We have worked with Playmobil before. They have great products and sent us the Playmobil 1-2-3 Playset. Playmobil is broken up into two categories, the toddler set and then the older kids set. The toddler sets or 1-2-3 playmobil, can always be found in stores in yellow playmobil packaging. I spent time playing with Playmobil at my last job. The job I had before becoming a mother. Yep, I got to play with toys all day then too. We could fill an entire wall at the store with just Playmobil and the different themes of toys they had. One of the best sellers we had was the Advent Calendar, the other would be the Pirates Sets.

The Land of Nod Stand Mixer With Bowl #Giveaway

Even when I was working in a store similar to them, I loved to see what they carried that we didn’t. I’m a big kid at heart!!

Our first feature, is the Land of Nod Wooden Stand Mixer with Bowl. Zoe has her own kitchen and she cooks in her kitchen whenever I’m making something to eat that she can’t help with. She loves to help me cook but if I’m in a hurry or using the oven mostly she can’t help me. So she’s quite happy to work in her own kitchen. I showed her the mixer and she was just jumping up and down to get to open it.

The Stand Mixer is a cute green color and is very easy to operate. It came with a flour bag, a butter bag and little white and yellow balls that she can put in her mixer and in and out of the bags. Now, are new cute little dog Abby has decide that this is a fun toy too. When the kids dropped the balls on the kitchen floor Abby chased the balls up and down. Some of them are already lost underneath our kitchen stove.

Abby also patiently waits underneath Zoe as she’s cooking to see if there will be any scraps.
