I often talk about Miles and how much he loves music. He really loves any toy that makes noise and always has. He just loves to press buttons and figure out how things work. We have a keyboard that he loves to play on and he is starting to make music instead of just banging on the keys. So, whenever I get the chance to review a toy that makes music I jump at the chance.
Paper Jamz is a new guitar that sounds like an electric guitar. Now, I’ve never actually held a real electric guitar but I imagine they are pretty complicated with all of the settings and changes you can make to the sound. Well, I’m quite impressed with how many different setting are on a toy electric guitar.
The Guitar is quite loud and my husband and I raced to find the volume button. It took me a few tries but after looking at the directions, I realized how in-depth this paper thin, light weight piece of technology is. To raise and lower the volume you just need to slide your hand up or down the neck of the guitar. To change the guitar from the demo setting you need to hold down the demo button for a few seconds. Then you’ll here an electric countdown and it will start in a new mode. If you want the vocals to go away, then you can hold down the demo button and the mode button for a few seconds at the same time and you’ll hear the electric countdown and a new mode will start without vocals.
If you look along the side of the guitar you’ll see that you can change the frets by holding down the buttons on the side and if you are into any kind of guitar then you will understand what that means. Now are you confused yet? Don’t be, the kids will love it in any mode and will be rocking out in no time. Miles was born for this, I mean look at his rock star hair!!
It was very difficult to get him to share it with his sister; but in the end they were able to play with it together.
