Ring Around The Rosie

Getting the kids to have fun means being an example of fun. So lately we’ve been doing more games and songs. I’ve been doing a lot of Ring around the Rosie with the kids. We’ve even taken it outside to do with the neighbors and as silly as I feel doing it with other moms, I see the smile on the kids’ faces and know that it is worth it. Tonight when I did it I sat down on the wet grass and it was still worth it!

I love to encourage my kids to be silly and when they see me being silly it’s easier for them to be silly. Growing up my dad was always the silly one. He would always try to lighten the mood when I was being shuffled between parents. My parents were divorced by the time I turned 4 and it’s not an easy thing to grow up with split time.

I hope to always be able to inspire fun, laughter and smiles in my children. It would be great if I inspired other mother’s to be silly to. It’s good to put the guard down and just be silly with the kids.

I totally agree with your post, and I love your pictures. I found you from Jennifer James challenge to support other mom bloggers. I am acting on that to start getting to know other moms so that we CAN help each other along the way. I have searched for years the WAHM market, and know that the power is in the moms themselves. I look forward to getting to know you, and will be inspired by you to have fun.

There’s nothing better than a belly laugh with a kid and watching them smile from ear to ear. Love this! Such a nice reminder!

Ring around the Rosie is a big favorite at our house, and I’ve recently introduced the Hokey Pokey to my preschooler. It was so much fun my tween joined in! Thanks for reminding us to share the silliness — there’s nothing better than hearing your little girl giggle.

What I was trying to say was that Ring around the Rosie is a big favorite at our house! It’s been such a big hit, I’ve added the Hokey Pokey and Head, Shoulders Knees and Toes (knees and toes). It’s been so much fun for my preschooler than my tween even joined in! Thanks for reminding us to share the silliness. There’s nothing better than hearing your little girl giggle.
