Olive Garden Never Ending Pasta Bowl Giveaway

GRA0135241 LOGO2 If it wasn’t for how many calories were in the wonderful food at the Olive Garden I think my family would eat there twice a month. That’s a lot for us considering at most we eat out once a week. We try very hard to stay home, but sometimes, a mother just doesn’t feel like cooking. And Olive Garden tastes divine!

To help kick off the annual Never Ending Pasta Bowl promotion they conduced a survey to uncover America’s pasta passions.

olivegarden2 Nearly seven in ten (68%) Americans believe that an Italian restaurant is the perfect place to bring the family. But friends and significant others are a close second! More than half of Americans say that an Italian restaurant is also the perfect place to bring friends (55%) or a date (54%).

Another interesting fact:

If given the choice to sit down to an Italian dinner with a special person like a relative, movie star, celebrated athlete or the President of the United States, among others, 47 percent of Americans  would choose a family member.

If it were me, I would choose my HUSBAND. So I’m part of the 47 percent. Who would you choose?

The Never Ending Pasta Bowl promotion runs now through October 10th offering visitors to the restaurant endless servings of pasta with over 40 pasta/sauce combinations. At only $8.95 per guest it is no wonder why Olive Garden received #1 Best Value for Full Service Chains by Zagat.

The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About That Wings and Things Giveaway

thecatinthehatknowsalotaboutthat NCircle sent us a copy of The Cat in the Hat knows a Log about That and my daughter watched it once. Yes, once and we didn’t even finish it because it was time to go outside and play. We have to go outside when naptime is over for her brother during the summer time so we don’t have very much TV time at all. So, while I was away on my trip to California, my husband called me and told me that my 3 year old daughter is spouting out rhymes.

How Cool is That?

So thank you goes to NCircle for sending me a copy of a really fun DVD of the Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About that, because he does know a lot about rhyming and getting into and out of CITH_bean logo trouble.

The Cat in The Hat Knows A Lot About That Wings and Things Features the Show Me the Honey, Migration Vacation, I Love the Nightlife, Oh Give Me a Home and Many Ants Make Light Work. Wings and Things runs for 60 minutes. It was made especially for children that are my kids age, also known as preschoolers.

Thank you to NCircle for this DVD and for the copy they are giving to one lucky reader.

You Asked Sara Lee Listened, No High Fructose Corn Syrup Bread #Giveaway

Sara Lee S&S 100% Whole Wheat and Whole Grain White Last year I went to the nutrition summit with Sara Lee. There I learned about nutrition and feeding my family. I don’t believe that High Fructose Corn Syrup is bad for you, but I know from going to that event that it is an important factor for many of my readers and very close friends. Some of them will not eat food that has high fructose corn syrup added. Sara Lee heard your cries as well and now makes white and wheat bread without high fructose corn syrup. The major difference that I noticed was how soft the bread was. I’m sure that has nothing to do with anything, but it was something I wanted to be sure to mention!

Same great taste in my opinion!

Sara Lee Soft & Smooth Made with Whole Grain White Bread is now a good source of fiber and contains 10 grams of whole grain per 2-slice serving. Also, Sara Lee Soft & Smooth 100% Whole Wheat Bread now gives consumers vitamin D, as well as an excellent source of calcium and whole grain with 26 grams per two-slice serving.

IMG_4337 Sara Lee sent me two loaves of bread so that I could try it out. They also sent me a Bento box with a coupon for another loaf of bread. These are both for me to donate to charity. I’m quite excited about using it as a donation and that I got to see what exactly get to giveaway to one lucky reader.

For Back To School ideas check out Sara Lee’s Facebook page. For more information about Sara Lee Soft & Smooth bread, bun and bagel products visit www.youknowwhattheylike.com

Madeline’s Halloween & Other Spooky Tales Giveaway

Just out this month is Madeline’s Halloween & Other Spooky Tales on DVD. I popped it in for  the kids to watch and I thought it was a little bit on the scary side. However, the kids did not. In fact, they wanted to watch it over and over again. There were five different tales making this a decent length for a children’s DVD. I mean, play one turn it off and play another one on a different day.

madelinehalloweenThe titles were, Madeline’s Halloween; Madeline and the Mean, Nasty Horrible Hats; Madeline and the Mummy; Madeline and the Haunted Castle; and Madeline and the Spider Lady. Each one is inspired by the book series Madeline, the story of a dozen little girls who line in an old house in Paris. They go around the city with their keeper and each other trying to keep Madeline out of trouble.

I think that my favorite out of the five was Madeline and the Mummy. There was a group of girls on the trip with them that were not nice, so they ran ahead of the 12 girls and hid themselves in the Egyptian pyramid. Then as the 12 girls went in they found all of these scary things and the tomb was moving so they all ran out screaming. Well, Madeline wanted to determine what was going on, and find the missing girls. Then only did they discover that the girls were the cause of the moving tomb and they needed help getting out.

Citizenpip Lunch Gear No Mess Starter Kit Giveaway

Another donation that I wanted to keep as soon as it arrived was from Citizenpip. Why do these companies make such great CUTE products for children going back to school? Oh I know, so people will buy it and people like me will just recommend the brand until we are blue in the face. And Yes, Citizenpip is that cute!

Zoe also asked if she could keep the lunch box and all of it’s contents and I had to say no, but this was a little easier than sometimes only because she’s not in need of a lunch box for a few years now. image

In addition to being cute, and quality, citizenpip muck-free reusable lunch gear is practical and functional.

image

These are things that I noticed:

The zipper is very easy to use, even my daughter can manage and she’s three.

Waste-Free: there are four plastic containers for you to use to send food to school, and a canteen for you to put water in. Perfect for keeping your children from throwing away a lot of packaging.

Muck-Free: the CPSIA tested the products and found that it is lead free, BPA free and contains to phthalates.

Flexible: you can use your own plastic containers while you are cleaning the other containers.

All of it is very easy to clean, the containers are all air tight and leak proof. And the plastic containers will keep things like sandwiches from getting all squished.

Made for kids and moms like me that get distracted by bright fun colors. It is light weight and seems to be quite durable, oh and did I mention that it is easy to clean. The lunch box itself and just be wiped down and sanitized if you are into that sort of thing!
