Meet local health workers and the children they help to survive.
www.GoodGoes.org
Each year, almost 9 million children in the developing world die of largely preventable and treatable illnesses before they reach the age of five – that equates to approximately 24,000 child deaths a day.
However, every 4 seconds a child survives thanks to the basic health care provided by local health workers.
Save the Children and the Ad Council are working together to mobilize citizen action in the U.S. to help local health workers save more children worldwide.
Help local health workers bring the good to the children who need it most.
You are one step away from helping children around the world survive.
GoodGoes.org features a customized Google map application of the local health worker’s village, blog posts, video bios, and a menu of ways people can get involved in this campaign to make a difference. Add your photo in support of the project to The Great Wall of Good Facebook application: http://apps.facebook.com/greatwallofgood.

Visit Good Goes and tell me what you think about the campaign and helping the children?
This post was provided to me on behalf of Save the Children.

I have joined!!! It is a shame that so many children are unable to receive the vaccines that they need to help them through childhood. I am so happy to see others come together to help make a difference and to lower the unnecessary death rate of children. Good Goes and Smile Train are my groups. I love their mission.
I think it is a wonderful idea, and it really helps to encourage you to continue giving. Sometimes, when you can’t see that your money is helping, it can be discouraging! I signed up for their email alerts!
Seems like a good campaign, but really any one that helps children is.
This is a great program. I wish I had been able to do this when I was young and healthy.

I have never heard of this campaign, but I think any organization that cares this much about children and helping them is fantastic!
we take for granted things like simple survival in this country way too often. We forget that in other areas very basic things just are not available. This campaign is so important
It sounds like a great campaign. It looks like they are able to help a lot of children in various parts of the world
Anything that helps children is a great idea. This campaign will hopefully be helpful to many children. Thanks.

I think that right now, kids need all the help they can get. What a great idea.

Things are so different in other parts of the world. It makes me grateful for what I do have and wonder where things will go in the future. I am glad there are people out there willing to help! sarah@sproutreviews.com
I hadn’t heard of this before, and I think it’s wonderful!!! It really makes us appreciate everything we are so fortunate to have!

I just can’t imagine living a life where basic health care is unavailable. Awesome campaign.
I think it’s a great program and will really benefit the kids.
