Quickie has been around since the 1920’s being a company of innovation when it comes to cleaning and tools. One of the first tools they created was the compound-action hedge shear and it changed the way Americans gardened. They continued making advances in manufacturing and now make excellent cleaning tools.
They sent me some sponges, we’re a sponge of a family. We just like sponges. We go through them like crazy, and I think this is our first time to try out the Quickie brand. They are super soft and I never knew you could have so many versions of a sponge for cleaning. They sent a microfiber pot and pan sponge, a microfiber dish and glass sponge, and a microfiber non stick cooking pan sponge. I’m going to be cleaning counters and pots. You can have even more cleaning fun!
From cleaning your floors, to your patio, and even your grill, the Quickie’s Ultimate Summer Cleaning Kit is perfect for getting your home in shape for the season.
The Ultimate Summer Cleaning Kit contains $86 of Quickie Cleaning products including:

I Visited the product detail sheet at Mead.com and what you like best is it’s multifunctional and you can leave reminders essentially all over your house to remind you what you have to do daily. for a super crazy busy mom with a very old malfunctioning computer, it would be great to know that I would have a paper back up organizer some where to keep my life under control.
I spent last month hosting a giveaway for KitchenAid, the KitchenAid Stand Mixer. Our mixer gets tons of use and I love it. It’s Beautiful. They are durable machines that last forever, the only reason you might want a new one is for a new color. So they were smart enough to make attachments that you can collect.

My favorite memory is a very early one where my Ma taught me for the first time how to bake cookies with her
I almost lit the place on fire ![]()
Zoe has started believe in monsters. Why wouldn’t she? She watches Monster’s Inc, Sesame Street, and Ben 10. Yeah, that wasn’t mom’s smartest move letting her watch Ben 10. She knows that some monsters are good, but no all monsters. So she is afraid the scary monsters are going to get her. We gave her a night light and at first that worked.
Now, she gets up and says we need to check for the monsters because they are in her room.
Dad goes in and looks in the closet and under the bed and no monster.
That doesn’t really work because as soon as daddy is out of the room, she’s afraid again.
Dad took the next step, he installed monster fencing. They installed it together actually, it was pretend, if it stops working we might have to make something that she can actually see and place it against the crown molding in her floor. But for now, it is Invisible Monster Fencing. Every night they have to check the perimeter and make sure that the monster fencing is in place. I think doing it together made it more real for her. Then he can ask her at night if she checked the monster fencing and if she hasn’t then it’s something else they can do together.
Organization of the kitchen is something that I actually put a little bit of effort into. You would be surprised to see that I keep my plastic containers in another plastic container.
I organize my food and store them in plastic containers. Snapware makes this type of organization easy and I’m grateful that they sell it at Costco so I can buy it in bulk. I’ve purchased the Snapware cereal containers at Costco, and some other different sized containers. They just started carrying the glass snapware at Costco and I have my eyes on that set too.
Recently, Snapware contacted me for a review and I said, yes I would love more snapware. They have so many different options to choose from; the kitchen is just a starting point when it comes to Snapware. Organizational lines range from holiday storage to craft storage. But the kitchen is my favorite place to use the Snapware products. They sent me the 14 piece airtight set.
Freezer safe
Dishwasher safe
Microwave safe
I make ice cream and store it in one of these containers, then warm it in the microwave to serve, then I throw it back into the freezer until I’m finished with the ice cream. I store flour, cereal and left overs in these containers too.
You can remove the plastic that provides the airtight seal for washing in the dishwasher. Once I do this, I have a hard time getting it back in, so I recommend that you leave it in place when you wash it.
The 14-piece airtight set (AVR 29.99)
Photo taken from Amazon.com I forgot to take my own photos of the packaging. Ooops, I was just too excited to get it open and started using it.

I love to save money as many of you know. On all of the lists that I see there is almost always someway to save money at Omaha Steaks, and I’ve always wondered if it was worth buying from there. Even my husband has been a little interested. I found out last weekend that they are worth buying from. They sent me some hamburgers and hot dogs. We have yet to open the package of hot dogs but we tried the hamburgers and I liked them. What I really liked was how they are already separated for you. I’m not one that likes to touch hamburger meat, well meat of any kind actually. You wonder how I’m able to cook at all I bet, well I do, I just don’t like to touch it. Love to eat it though!

I just received some Method Laundry Detergent to try for free. They claim to be Smarter, Easier, and Greener.
The container is small. With a very concentrated formula you can get 25 washes out of their smallest size, which is pretty comparable to other small sizes that aren’t so small.
It is super easy to get the right amount without making a mess at all. There is no measuring, all you do is squirt and the aim is really easy. I didn’t make a mess at all and there is no leaking.
Less waste, with a smaller bottle there is a smaller carbon footprint.
Better for the environment because of all the above. They are Smarter, Easier, and Greener.
Not my favorite scent (it does come in other scents though)
My clothing faded (I find it really hard to find any brand that doesn’t cause fading though)
Today was a beautiful day. The sun made me refreshed and I actually got some work done in the house today, but this afternoon, I spent it all outside with the kids.
We moved into our house about six months ago and I’m still not completely moved in. Since we ordered a new couch that is going to be delivered this week, I really needed to unpack some of the boxes that were just thrown in my room. I need to make room so that my husband and I can move the couch we have to the loft upstairs. Part of the organization that I did, required me to put way the rest of the Christmas decorations, yes they were still in the middle of the loft. In boxes of course but not put completely away. I can’t possibly be the only disorganized mother out there right?
I didn’t finish, there is still a lot of junk that needs to be put away, but I made a lot of headway and that’s why I spent the rest of the afternoon enjoying the sunshine. Because in the state of WA who knows when the sunshine will come back. I just checked the weather and yes it says RAIN is in the forecast for tomorrow.
I cherish the sun, relish in it. It makes me feel alive and gives me the needed energy to function. I mean, I’m a completely different person when the sun is out verses when it’s raining outside. Oh well, I guess it means that tomorrow is going to be a movie day after church!
