So Mother’s Day was yesterday and we spent the day honoring mom, right? Well, why does mom only get one day. Think about it. Mother’s are the glue to families. We run the house, we make sure everything gets taken care of. We are the teachers, we are the nurse maids, we are the painters, the household managers; there is not a job that we don’t do. Even in my house where I consider the trash to be my husband’s job, I do it often. We just keep everything moving forward, always ready for the unexpected. With kids, there is always something new around the corner.
Like Miles running after his friend and not looking where he was going. He had a wipe out. I was terrified that he broke his nose but it was just a bruise and he was fine.
I kissed the boo boo and many other boo boo’s all year round just like any other mom. It’s not until you have your own children that you can truly appreciate your own mother. I love you mom, and you too Teresa!

Two Weeks ago Western Union even had a concert at Camp Pendleton in San Diego for military families. The concert featured Wyclef Jean and Paulina Rubio and gave moms and families a nice way to celebrate love. There are plenty of ways to show love to those you care about. I try to do everything I can to make my mom feel special. She does not live close to me and she does not have alot of money, so I try and send her as many care packages as I can. I also try and talk to her at least twice a week. My mom is the best!

You never know when its her time to go home then life will be filled with could of’s and should of’s
With that said I use to make my mom feel special every day by letting her know how special she really was. I would call sometimes 4x a day. She was my best friend. We would do lunches often. I never kept anything from her. Even the most embarrassing of things I would seek out her advise.
But I think the biggest way I made her feel special is that in everything I did I would ask first would this hurt my mom or embarrass her, or dissappoint her. I strived to show her daily what a wonderful job she did and allowed her to look at me with pride(not to say I didnt mess up sometimes cause oh boy I did LOL) and those are the ways I made Mom feel special
