So Mother’s Day was yesterday and we spent the day honoring mom, right? Well, why does mom only get one day. Think about it. Mother’s are the glue to families. We run the house, we make sure everything gets taken care of. We are the teachers, we are the nurse maids, we are the painters, the household managers; there is not a job that we don’t do. Even in my house where I consider the trash to be my husband’s job, I do it often. We just keep everything moving forward, always ready for the unexpected. With kids, there is always something new around the corner.
Like Miles running after his friend and not looking where he was going. He had a wipe out. I was terrified that he broke his nose but it was just a bruise and he was fine.
I kissed the boo boo and many other boo boo’s all year round just like any other mom. It’s not until you have your own children that you can truly appreciate your own mother. I love you mom, and you too Teresa!

Two Weeks ago Western Union even had a concert at Camp Pendleton in San Diego for military families. The concert featured Wyclef Jean and Paulina Rubio and gave moms and families a nice way to celebrate love. There are plenty of ways to show love to those you care about. She likes to go shopping and has a hard time getting around now. Whenever I take her, I get one of the wheel chairs and push her. She enjoys it because she gets to get all of her shopping done and doesn’t get worn out.

I make my mom cupcakes, she loves that.
I make her breakfast in bed, and take her out for a sap day!
I think what she appreciates most, and makes me feel good doing is each year I start herbs and veggies from seed for her garden. She takes such pride in them, telling everyone she knows that her daughter grew them for her.

My Mom lives about 3 hours from us but we have suprised her with a visit to take her out to dinner and she loves it!
