We received Funny Lunch from Scholastic last week and it’s Zoe’s new favorite book. It’s about a dog who likes to cook, and my daughter loves to pretend to cook for us all the time. Chef Max is a great chef in a restaurant and when someone asks for something special he delivers. Want a hot dog, you better watch out and be prepared for what you get. Funny Lunch is written by David Catrow. David Catrow is a nationally syndicated editorial cartoonist and the award-wining illustrator of numerous books for children, including Take Me Out of the Bathtub and Other Silly Songs by Alan Katz. My fav kids books was any of the Beverly Cleary books. I was a big reader as a kid so there wasn’t too many books that I didn’t enjoy.
