Give Mom a Cup of Coffee with a Senseo Giveaway

I can not get through the day without a cup of coffee and if twitter is any indication on how other moms feel then making sure you or your mom has a new coffee maker for one is the perfect Mother’s Day gift right?

Senseo sent my family a Senseo coffee pod brewer to review. My husband treated me this morning to a cup of coffee; he wanted to help with this review. And my favorite way to create a review is through photos.

Meet Senseo:

The back of the machine you will find the water canister. It is recommended that you wash that and the coffee pod filters as well. There are two different filter sizes, the one pod size and the two pod size. Which one you use will just depend on how strong you like your coffee, and in my family, we like it strong. In fact, the first cup of coffee we made turned out a little weak, so my husband made the second cup and it turned out great! Thanks Honey!

So our recommendation, after you put water in the reservoir and prime it:

Take two pods

Put them into the two pod filter

Close the Senseo

Select the cup size, and for strong coffee you want to select the small cup button on the left

The thing I found really interesting was that when it is done the coffee looks foamy and frothy like you got it at a coffee shop.

National Geographic Little Kids Magazine Giveaway

I used to love to look at my grandmother’s subscription of National Geographic. It was always fun to look at the pictures of other countries and learn about other cultures. Now, you can bring that education and fun to the hearts of your children through National Geographic Little Kids Magazine.

We received four Little Kid Magazines from National Geographic on behalf of The Family Review Network. I gave them to my kids just this morning and we spent quite a while looking at the pictures and exploring. I was quite impressed when both of my kids were able to say “binoculars”. Wow, that’s a big word. Each magazine has pictures, information and learning/educational ideas to do with your children. It’s a great way to get interactive and teach your kids. You’re supposed to be reading to your kids anyways. Now you can read, play games and watch their minds grow. That’s what I just loved about National Geographic growing up.

Currently, National Geographic Little Kids magazine sells for $3.99 an issue or you can subscribe to one year of 6 issues for just $15.

The recommended age is 3 to 6 but my son was extremely engaged with the pictures and he just turned two.

Zutano, itzy bitzy Review and Giveaway

One thing that I really do love about blogging is the opportunity to work with companies that I love. Companies that I developed a love for before I even had children. One of my favorite lines to sell while I was working children’s retails was Zutano, not only was it one of my favorites it was easy to sell. The price point is lower compared to other brands we carried but the quality is amazing.

I contacted Zutano and requested permission to do a giveaway and asked if they were willing to do a review as well and they agreed to both. They sent me some clothes for Zoe and she looks amazing in them. I think they are slimming and one of the best parts is that they fit her comfortably. She can pull the pants up and down which has been wonderful for potty training. A lot of the pants she wears fit so snugly she can not pull them up and down for potty training. So we love the Zutano pants. I think I’m going to have to go find a local store that carries them and purchase a few more pairs.

Oh and I have to mention that it washes and dries well. We would always tell people to buy a size up, but I requested the size she wears, 4 and after washing it twice it fits her just right.

I could not get a better photo of her because she was not in the mood to have her picture taken. Zutano makes the cutest infant clothing. They make one pieces and separates. Everything is mix and match practically. They even make blankets and hats to match all of the clothing. Pants come in patterns, stripes, and solid colors. Actually they are all the same, each piece is a pattern, stripe, or solid. You put the pieces together. It’s fun!

I have worked with Dominos in the past, you can read the previous post even about information on Dominos and ways to win. This post is another way to win, but also to find out if you have tried Dominos lately. Dominos just finished up one campaign and is jumping right into a new one? They are looking for the Holdouts.

The new campaign launched on TV and online April 5. The “holdouts” featured in the commercials are some of the shrinking group of consumers who have yet to try the pizza that everyone is talking about.

The campaign also has attracted more than 80,000 fans to Domino’s Facebook page.

Following the same line of transparency, the new documentary-style TV campaign presents two real people in their hometowns who have been “holding out,” inviting them to taste and give their honest opinion of the new pizza on camera.

It’s Allergy Season: Allergy Tips

1. Clean your bedroom weekly. This includes floors, furniture, tops of doors, window frames/sills, etc. with a damp cloth.

2. Vacuum carpet and upholstery regularly.

3. Vacuum bed upholstery. Better yet, get a bed, like the Sleep Number bed which allows you to actually open and vacuum the inside of your bed too.

4. Wash curtains often and bedding weekly at 130+ degrees to kill dust mites.

5. Use allergen barrier covers for your mattress and pillows.

6. Undress in another room to avoid bringing outside allergens into the bedroom.

7. Keep pets out of the bedroom.

8. Keep room at humidity below 50 percent to reduce dust mite population and mold growth.

9. Regularly launder stuffed animals.

10. Use a high quality HEPA air filter in the bedroom.

Secrets of the Mountain DVD and Soundtrack Giveaway

Walmart contacted me about a movie they had made with Proctor and Gamble and at first I thought it was a joke. I even watched a few seconds of it and had to wonder, is this really a movie? In the background, you see all this product placement of “Great Value” and that is Walmart’s store brand. So I thought with it being April 1st and all someone was trying to get me. As I got to watching it further I though, this looks like a great film. The character development caught me and I mean, it looks like a family night at the movies kind of film. I want to find out what is going to happen to all of the characters.

Walmart sent me a teaser and a little care package with popcorn in it. You can watch it yourself here:

Plot Summary

I’m excited to be a part of UBP10.
