Pre-Order COVERGIRL LashBlast Fusion Mascara

COVERGIRLYesterday COVERGIRL introduced its newest LashBlast mascara – LashBlast Fusion.  This is the first time that COVERGIRL has released a volume and length mascara; making lashes long and full. Beautiful. I struggle with having nice lashes, the men in my life have the lovely full, long lashes and I’m jealous. I hardly wear makeup but when I do, my lashes are one of the areas that I have to pay extra attention to and I like COVERGIRL because it is affordable and easy to find. Most retailers carry it.

COVERGIRL Global Creative Design Director, Pat McGrath previewed LashBlast Fusion exclusively during Fall/Winter 2010 New York Fashion Week.  Click here to see a behind-the-scenes videos of Pat backstage at the Anna Sui show using her new favorite mascara.

LashBlast Fusion will be available in-stores nationwide this April, but you can get it before anyone else staring March 12th during the exclusive online pre-sale. LashBlast Fusion has a suggested retail price of $8.99 and pre-sale customers can take advantage of free shipping from March 12th – April 5th, limited quantity while supplies last. Visit www.Facebook.com/COVERGIRL beginning March 12th to find an e-retailer.

The Power of Giving

In an attempt to win a full sponsorship to BlogHer 2010, I’m entering a contest hosted by Mabel’s Labels, Mabel’s Labels BlogHer ‘10 Contest. They are asking Bloggers to write your passion in 300 words or less and to make it count because there is an electrical storm that is going to wipe out the internet, blogs, twitter. It’s all gone, so what do I want you to know? Here is my entry:

With the end coming and not much time to spare, I want to make sure I made my point. If you have been a reader of Mom Start then you know I love supporting charity by acquiring donations, giving food to the local Food Bank and helping other moms in my local MOMS Club. It is an easy thing to do to help out others. All you have to do is something. Asking companies to make donations to a charity may seem like a difficult task but it isn’t. For them, giving a donation is a tax write off and advertisement, for you all you need to do is ask, you might be told no, but it’s not personal. Some companies can only do a certain amount of donations each year. To give to the local Food bank, you can get free stuff all the time just by using coupons and sales. It’s easy, use the Sunday Paper, coupons and weekly mailer ads. Sales + Coupons = Free.

It doesn’t end with just charities though, we can help each other. Human nature makes us shy away from asking for help. We think we can do everything on our own and sometimes it’s just stinking pride that gets in the way of asking for help. By just doing something for someone else or asking what they might need will make such a huge difference in someone else’s day. Everyone needs affirmation, love and support. Call a friend on the phone; send them a letter in the mail. Getting mail, real mail might seem a way of the past but when I open my mail box and have a letter, I get so excited. I know I’m not alone. So go out and do something to brighten a day.

Random Tuesday – Too Much is just Too Much

Sometimes too much of a good thing is just too much and less can be more. Just saying!

randomtuesday Random Tuesday Thoughts Im Talking A Lot Of Shit Today

Yesterday I started my attempt at posting all of my giveaways on one day and the rest of the week belongs to me an my blog. I’m not sure if it’s going to work. Because, it’s just too much. Some of the giveaways aren’t receiving any traffic and the others are getting it all. It’s like there is too much to choose from and everyone wants the same prize, There is no surprise that everyone wants the free batteries.

It’s going to take me forever to figure out how I want to do my blog, but that’s why it’s mine and I can do it how I want. Ugg, that’s all I ever talk about isn’t it. Mine mine mine!

I’m still fighting the potty training and thumb sucking. We’re starting to make progress but I feel like this is going to be a very long road. The dentist is going to yell at me next month because she’s still sucking on her thumb. Well, if you want kids to stop sucking why do you take the things that help us get them to stop off the market?

Sick again in this house, man, my husband looked like a train wreck yesterday and I was thinking poor man. Now, today it’s my turn. Oh, but it’s time for more medicine, I need to go take some before I feel like complete crap instead of just a little crap.

Tone, I’m starting to figure out what my readers are actually interested in, can you believe it took me almost a year an a half to understand metrics of my blog? Oh, you guys leave comments when I post pictures of my family or kids so that means so much to me. You leave comments when I ask you to pray and that makes me want to cry with surprise. When I write a post about feeling sorry for myself you either ignore it appropriately or you tell me not to be so hard on myself. I’m shocked when you know exactly what i need. Esp since there are so many of you that peek in on me and my life.

Dora is on today since I’m sick, she’s a great baby sitter. She even teaches the kids Spanish, my two year old speaks a little bit of Spanish. He speaks it better than I do, crazy little man of mine.

Ok, maybe my randomness is done, but if I don’t get it out, you’ll just see it in a review here or there. Which reminds me of all the work I need to get done. I need to start charging for posts again. And Juice Box Jungle, when are you going to pay me for February, and I mean that you forgot to send me a payment for the 90 days back which would be November’s payment. Hmm, maybe I should send you another e-mail.

La La La!!!

The Frigidaire Swap and Save – Energy Star Rating

The newly introduced Frigidaire line (the new fridge that I’ve been talking about from time to time) just received the EPA’s prestigious 2010 Energy Star award for their “Swap and Save” Energy Star Promotion. This award recognizes Frigidaire’s commitment to smart energy management and its efforts to share the importance of energy efficiency with a wide audience. (I save money on my electricity bill) In addition to the time-saving features you already know about, the new Frigidaire collections also save you considerable amounts of energy and water – from washers that use up to 82% less energy and 60% less water, to dishwashers that use at least 41% less energy and 40% less water than was used just 10 years ago.

What you can do is go the Frigidaire’s website and check out their swap and save and you can find out how much money you can save by purchasing a new appliance.

The Frigidaire refrigerator saves me time because it is so easy to keep organized. The shelves are easy to adjust making a perfect fit for creamer, milk, jams and everything we keep in the door.

fridge2

I also save time with the freezer because in my old fridge, I had a bottom drawer and the only way to find stuff was to dig. My new freezer side of the fridge the drawers are smaller and I have them organized into, cheese drawer, meat drawer, and a frozen veggie drawer. Then we have a shelf with frozen fruit and the door has some extras. My husband loves the top shelf in the freezer because he says it’s made especially for ice cream cartons.

fridge

In this picture it’s empty but since then he has filled that empty top shelf with two cartons of ice cream. I’ll have to get a picture of that too.

“I wrote this review while participating in a Test Drive Campaign by Mom Central on behalf of Frigidaire and received a Frigidaire Refrigerator to facilitate my review.”

My Princess Party To Go Review and #giveaway

My Princess Party To Go contacted me and requested a review. They sent me two different sets to preview. The Fairy Party in a bag and the Princess Party in a bag. OH how excited I was to receive them. Moms run the business and their goal is to help you throw the most awesome birthday parties without breaking the bank.

Princess Parties are what we do! It isn’t enough to just provide you with Adorable Dress Up Clothes and Lovely Custom Goodie Bags, we must give you the “Heart and Soul” of our parties as well. This is why we include the Party Guide with Tips and Games to ensure a successful party.  We also include game props and an easy to please craft.  We love what we do and are sure you will be thrilled when you receive your Princess Birthday Party To Go!

The contents of the bags are beautiful.

Sheer Fun Fairy Party in a Bag:

Contents: Soft 12″ Rainbow Tutu, Pink or Lilac Glitter Wings, Sparkle Tiara & Butterfly Craft with jewels to decorate.

The bracelet that you see above is not listed in item contents but mine had one in it and I wanted to show you what it looked like, so I slapped it on my wrist. It’s one of those slap bracelets that were popular. I think they are trying to make a come back because I received another one earlier this year.

Sheer Fun Princess Party in a Bag in Blue:

Contents: 12″ Soft Tulle Tutu, 18″ Jewel Crown Wand, Sparkling Tiara, Foam Tiara Craft with jewels to decorate in Sheer Bag.

The Good news for my poor son is that they do have Pirates in a bag and Knights, Princes, and Wizards in a bag.

I’m very impressed with the Party in a bag themes and quality. You can throw a party, get costumes for all attendees and then you can all do a craft together. You can decorate the crowns or butterflies.

All of the pieces are easy enough for a three year old to put on and take off. My daughter has been putting on her wings for a few months, it’s so impressive to see them whip on. Crazy what makes a parent smile isn’t it.

You can win six Sheer Fun Princess Party Bags. You will have an amazing party with six little excited princesses running around.  Over 100.00 Value

This Week on The View with a Spring Giveaway

viewlogo2009_FinalBeing one of The View Brand Ambassadors has been a lot of fun. I’ve been keeping the #theviewmoms twitter feed open on my tweetdeck and following what people like and don’t like. My hair dresser likes it though, except she thought the extensions looked a little fake.
