Chico’s When Did You First Fall in Love with Fashion #giveaway

When did you first fall in love with fashion?

You will not believe this, well maybe you will. I did not fall in love with fashion until I was an adult. When I started working at The Limited. When I worked there I was working two jobs and married and had no children so all I had time for was shopping at work. I loved picking out clothes and taking advantage of my discount and knowing ahead of time when the sales were going to be. It was wonderful. Now, if only I could lose enough weight to get back into all of those clothes that I purchased.

Chico’s is asking the same question: “When did you first fall in love with fashion?”

Submit your story here:  http://www.facebook.com/LoveChicos?v=app_344772843444&ref=mf and be entered to win a $100 gift card each day, as well as a grand prize of $500 at the end of the month!

Blush Topless Undershirt Review and #giveaway

Blush Topless Undershirt sent me one of their undershirts to review. They sent me the perfect color for me, blue:

blushundershirt

I hate shirts that are too short and I find it difficult to find shirts that are long sleeved and long enough to cover the areas that I don’t want showing. You know pants, jeans, shorts are all getting lower and lower. I mean, you have low rise and then you have extra low rise. How do I keep my skin from showing. I’m a mom now right?

Blush Undershirts are perfect for pregnant women and women like me that don’t want to show off our underwear or unwanted chub and skin. For pregnant women they can over up that pregnancy tummy that a lot of shirts just can’t do. I remember having a hard time covering my tummy with my son. He was so big so my stomach was huge. For nursing mamas it covers your tummy when you life up your shirt to breastfeed.

Easy to wash and doesn’t shrink!!

Trop50 Juice Review with Juicy Rewards

I am on of the Juicy Rewards Tropicana Ambassadors and I’m so excited to be a part of the program. Tropicana sent me their two new flavors of Trop50 juice to try, Pomegranate Blueberry and Pineapple Mango. Tropicana recently added these new flavors to the Trop50 line of reduced-sugar and calorie juice beverages. At 50 calories, each eight-ounce glass of these new Trop50 flavors squeezes in a full day’s supply of vitamin C and 10 percent of the daily recommended value of antioxidant vitamin E. In addition to all that the Pineapple Mango flavor provides a good source of potassium.

Trop50

It is so difficult to find a juice to give to my kids. They are all so filled with sugar that it just drives me crazy. I gave them both the Pomegranate Blueberry juice and still watered it down and they drank it up. I would say juice is juice and kids are going to drink it no matter what but that isn’t true. We have tried juice with less sugar before and the results were disastrous. We could not water it down and for the price it wasn’t worth it. This stuff, the Trop50 is great because I can water it down or not water it down and not feel guilty about giving it to the kids. Not to mention that both flavors I tried taste great. The Pomegranate Blueberry is sour and addicting, but not as addicting as the Pineapple Mango. I love Pineapple juice and it is just as good with Mango in it. Yum!

Being a Tropicana Juicy Rewards Ambassador I had to make sure that I took advantage of the reward points that were on the carton. You can get six points per carton.

Juicy Rewards

As a Juicy Rewards Insider I received 12 points to start out with and a 50.00 Gift Card to review using their points. For this review, I received two cartons of Trop50 Juice.

Free Hasbro Games at Target this Week: Here’s How

Are you signed up at Target to receive coupons? When Andrew and I got married we registered at Target and we also used to have a Target Red Card, also known as Target Visa. We don’t have that anymore because store cards aren’t that great for  your credit score. So they have our address.

I even registered for our babies at Target even though we never had a shower for miles. This just ensured that we received coupons. I’m not sure how to sign up for it other than these two ways. If someone else knows then share will all of us.

The Spring Coupon Mailers at Target were wonderful coupons booklets and somehow Target has both of our addresses so we received two of each. One was a toy magazine with toy coupons and on the back was a 5.00 GC coupon when you spend 50.00.

Of course by combining all of these target coupons with manufacturer coupons you can purchase a lot of stuff for really cheap to next to free. Last Sunday there was a 7.00 off Zyrtec and there are Zyrtec coupons in the mailers. So by using both you can save up to 10.00 on Zyrtec.

Miles Loves to Wash his Hands

I’m working on potty training the kids and Miles isn’t quite as ready as I first thought he was. No problem, what he does love though, is washing his hands.

wash

All he wants to do is wash his hands every time we go to the bath room. So on his birthday, when we were getting ready to bake his cake; he had to was his hands and he just played in the water for quite a while. But it was so cute, it deserved a blog post!

Deca Sports DS Review

Hudson Entertainment sent us Deca Sports to review on the DS

DecaSports The beloved Deca Sports franchise is back in action and on the Nintendo DS for the first time!  Hudson Entertainment’s Deca Sports DS is now available in stores everywhere for $29.99.  Deca Sports DS makes ten all new sports, including golf, cheerleading, arm wrestling and clay shooting, more accessible than ever with multiplayer functionality and customizable teams.

My three year old daughter finds Deca Sports a lot easier to play than Mario World on the DS. She is able to play some of the games after we show her how. I think her favorite was the golf, rugby, cheerleading, sky diving, ping pong, wall climbing, arm wrestling, bobsled, sepak takraw and finally clay shooting. Oh wait, she likes them all. The characters are children and cartoonish. I think that and the music appeals to her. It’s also the touch screen movement that makes play easier for her to do. She can try a bunch of different things and eventually gets it to do what she wants. Kids learn so fast these days.

DecaSports1

I was terrible at Ping Pong and ok at Arm Wrestling. I really enjoyed Sky diving and Bobsled even though I always came in about third when I tried the bobsledding.

About Golf:

Golf gives you complete control, grab your diver or the club you want and get the shot you desire. By using the stylus you have the control you need for the power you want.

About Rugby:

While playing Rugby I was wondering if this really is a gentlemen’s sport. I mean it seems some play pretty rough. Good think it’s on a video game.

rugby

About cheerleading:

cheerleading

About Sky Diving:

You pick your team and then you jump out of an air plane. On your way down you have to move into formation. Then you have to make sure you are facing the correct direction. You race to get as many done as you can before the time runs out.

About Ping Pong:

I completely sucked at ping pong. I could hit it back but I would get skunked whenever it was my turn to serve. pingpong

About Wall Climbing:

Wall climbing is a race. I love races and using the stylus was easier in this one than in some of the others. You guide your person up the wall from point to point.

About Arm Wrestling:

Arm wrestling was another one that I was ok at. I found it difficult to determine which type of movement I was supposed to do for what. I do enjoy the thrill of winning though when I did accidentally defeat my opponent.

About Bobsled:

During the Bobsled run you have to make sure you take those turns as fast and safely as you can. You steer with the L and R buttons and watch the edges as they’ll only slow you down. I had a hard time figuring out how to handle the turns but I still really enjoyed it.

About Sepak Takraw:

This is a game I had never heard of before now. It’s like volley ball but you get to kick. You get to use your feet, knees, chest, and head to hit the ball over the net.

About Clay Shooting:

I would have to say that I like clay shooting too even though I didn’t mention it above. I have always loved games where I get to shoot something.

Giving a Little Back To Our Pets (Guest Post)

    About Jenna:

jennac Jenna is a web content writer, advise columnist, and author of several blogs . Her work has been featured every where from online to local print. As a constant student of her craft, Jenna continues to explore new ways to breath life into the written word, as a form of expression. Jenna enjoys an outdoor lifestyle in the beautiful state of Colorado, with her husband, her boys, and her two yellow labs.

Giving a little back to our pets

Have you ever stopped to really think about what pets matter to us? Many of us have pets but do we always think about how much better and richer our lives really are with them? When you go about your day, are you fully appreciating what your pets do for you?

I was reflecting on this and began to think about how my little dogs make some of the smallest things in life that much better. My walk in the morning is more comforting with their company, the barbecue outside is more enjoyable when they beg for scraps, and settling in to bed is more relaxing when they jump on the bed to cuddle.

I began to wonder if we give pets enough credit and was a bit concerned that we don’t. Then I went to the pet store.

I walked down the aisle looking for the moist treat my dogs love (the lamb and rice flavor). As I was making the decision on whether or not to give the chicken and rice a try or go with beef and lamb, I stood back for a second. I looked to my right and saw some organic hypoallergenic herbal pet shampoo. Behind me was a coupon for all natural grass fed beef treats. To my left were some seasonal outfits for small dogs. I went a little further down the isle and saw some aromatherapy treatment to relax dogs. There was a tasty looking filling that you’re supposed to stuff into your dogs toy to make it more fun. With virtually no end to the specialized products for pets, I realized that we do care. We care a lot. We do give pets the credit they deserve.

As a whole, I think people love their pets and do them right. I don’t even eat organic grass fed beef but I would definitely consider it for my dogs if it was better for them. I’d like to say this was true for every pet owner but I really think that if you look around, people do try to do the right things for their pets. I recently came across a graphic at the pet insurance center which shows some of the pet industry numbers and it became really clear to me how much people are willing to spend on their loving little ones to make their lives better.

Pets do a wonderful thing for us and that should never be taken for granted. I’m just glad that sometimes are good to them too.
