I have quite a few unclaimed prizes to giveaway and they need to go to someone that reads my blog. I have a garage full of donations as I’m still looking for a charity that will work with me. It has to be just the right fit. Anyways, let’s have some fun:

Open Comments – Comment as many times as you want, right after each other, in between, I’m not picky. I just need to find a winner. Topic Idea, what’s a good charity you like? That takes “in-kind” donations, STUFF! But that’s just an idea, we can talk about whatever you want to.
You can tweet too if you feel inspired enough to do so.

I volunteer at Salvation Army handing out food- I know they do (in fact gotta be there in 10 minutes)
Wow what an awesome giveaway! thanks for the chance! I love our local Ronald McDonald House for a charity.
these are all great prizes. I would love to win
Our local RMH always has a need for preemie and infant clothing and baby items, toys, dvds, household items, office supplies, etc. They are also very nice and help a lot of families in need.
I love the Kidney Foundation, Salvation Army, Goodwill, Disabled American Vets, etc. They all take in items and sell them in thrift stores. My family donates items to them and buys items from them. It’s an awesome thing… Helps charity and it saves items from recycle, too.
We also have a local homeless shelter for families. Just one but they’re great. They always need everything for kids and families.
I tweeted for you, too: https://twitter.com/supasecretsista/status/9688579155
Nobody claimed those prizes!? Crazy! Pick me – I’ll claim them lol
I like the Salvation Army. My mom is a soldier there and they are wonderful about helping people out.
Oh we also have a shelter for women and kids who have left an abusive situation. They also accept everything, a lot of it goes to helping the women set up new apartments, etc once they move out of the shelter.
I am even entering from my cell phone cuz I want to win so bad haha
The Animal Shelter. I wouldn’t know what I would do without my dogs. I love them so. I got all 3 of my dogs from the Animal Shelter.
I like to support a local charity for women and children. They have a constant turnover – women stay for 30 days while the shelter helps them find jobs, training and housing, some of the housing provided by another branch of the same charity. They frequently arrive with almost nothing and leave ready to have their own households. They accept toys, clothes, food, cleaning products, just about anything! Perhaps there’s somewhere similar near you?
Another charity I love is actually a friend of mine is a pediatrician in a low income area, she collects new and gently used books for her patients. She tries to give each patient a book each time she sees them. She says many of these children don’t even own one book.
One of my favorite organizations that fits your criteria is the Samaritan House. They give victims of domestic and family violence a safe haven to get back on their feet. Because most women and children show up with nothing, they can use just about anything and are very appreciative of the donations.
Great prizes. I tweeted about it here: http://twitter.com/CouponClippin/status/9688698408
Not to sure about donations, I mostly donate food. Maybe a womens crisis center, day care depending on what you have.
One more thing… Grab a pad of paper and a pen and start listing out your items and the ARVs. The US Government has guidelines for you, too, as far as what is tax deductible. If you have it all listed out before you work with the charity, it makes the process for receipts a LOT easier.
I always take the time to donate gently used clothing and toys to the salvation army and goodwill.
I could really use the potty book too we are getting ready to start that soon
I also love the winter time coat drives. Amazing a ton of kids don’t have one coat to keep them warm during the winter. We love to buy coats for our kids off season when you can find $150 coats for $10-20, we always buy a few extras for the coat drive.
I am all about the GoodWill, because I like the idea of providing families with an inexpensive place to shop for all the things they need.
Also the nearest Indian Reservations always need everything. The level of poverty the kids there live in is just sad. Many have zero toys or books and also need clothes and shoes.
Depending on what you have, shelters are a good option – they need grooming products and food and clothing… Women’s shelters need baby and child items…
Great giveaway!
Depending on the products, if they’re mainly for women and children there’s Harbor House. It’s a charity for battered, abused women and children but it’s just based out of Florida I believe. http://www.harborhousefl.com/
Also some of the preschools in underpriviledged areas are always looking for toys and games for the classrooms.
I have two charities locally that I like to donate stuff to. Youth For Christ has a thrift store and Good Will has a thrift store here.
These are great prizes! I can’t believe they went unclaimed, but I know I probably miss emails once in a while for winning stuff too.
I saw the note above about animal shelters! We got our dog from an animal shelter as well! He’s been a great dog. We’ve had him for about 9 years now.
I personally like the Salvation Army & Goodwill. The Goodwill has a Donations box (clothes only) in our town so I don’t have to drive 45 minutes to the nearest one, so that’s where most of my “gently used” clothing goes.

Are you kidding?! Those are some great prizes.
My son’s birthday is Feb 28th so if say on the 1st we were to win that Wii Winter Games game I think we’d have a really happy camper.
I’d love to claim these prizes, especially the Webkinz Jr. Such a cute website.
Am I the only one here?
Hey, Pixie! Hope you are enjoying your Friday!

Hey, Matt. It’s a fairly good day. You?
Oh, and the Potty books? Perfect for my toddler-girl. She’s at the rip off the pamper and doody on the floor stage. Isn’t that fun…
Love the Sade giveaway too – I could swear that Soldier of Love (track) is a re-release of an older song though… Gonna have to go google that tidbit now.
Charity I love- RedCross. When something happens, they’re the first ones there. I’d like to think they’d be there for me if I needed them (knock on wood cos I don’t want to need them).
I’m doing well. I’m leaving work early this afternoon, so that always helps!
I support disabled vets (my dad is a vet), salvation army (love what they do for communities), and cans for cancer (family members who have), breast cancer research (family member who had). Try to do all I can.
Can’t believe people left prizes.
Yup, an early start on the weekend is always good.
I would go with a local family center or if you have a women and children center that would be good. Here we have the HOPE center and before we moved here we lived near a shelter for families getting away from domestic violence. They were always in need of stuff because usually the women would just live there homes in a hurry without packing and so they didn’t have much.
Hello, Cindi. Welcome.
Hello, Danielle J. How is everyone this afternoon?
Oh, pick me! I love winning prizes!
I love the charities that take donations and give back that don’t charge. Like I give to one that is called families services. they take donations, go through them, organize, and give back to those in need (FRRE). Makes me feel good.
Throwing my hat in the ring. The prizes I can’t use can be given to friends and family who can.
I am a big supporter of our local BPA – Battered Persons Advocacy. I volunteered there in high school and recently was able to donate a new car seat.
We use goodwill to donate to a lot.
We give to Salvation Army & Goodwill, w4 kids we have rec help & believe in giving back!! Goodluck to whom ever wins
I would Love to get those WEBKINS.. we donate stuffed animals to the Police Dept.. they keep them in their cars to give to kids that are scared about what ever might be going on!! We take bags of Stuffed animals about 6 times a year to them!! Thanks
