Fun in the Texas Snow Storm

You know, Texas likes to do things big but we can’t even come close to the Blizzard in the North. However, when Texas receives up to 8 inches in one day it’s an EVENT that must be captured. I had a terrible day today and I had a headache and didn’t want to do anything. With the snow falling and me being unprepared I just thought it would be best to stay inside. Well, my daughter had a different idea. She wanted to go outside in the snow. She begged me all day, so finally I couldn’t resist her. I put three layers of clothing on both of the kids, two pairs of socks and to hats each. My daughter had gloves but my son didn’t. She loved it, she did all kinds of things in the snow.

She ate it, she made a snow castle and she had a snow ball fight.

Milesman just played around in it, walking back and fourth and then he wanted to go in, his poor fingers were cold.

  3. Oh wow, I didn’t know Texas ever got snow at all, that’s a lot, looks like almost as much as we got up here in IL. Have fun while it lasts!

  4. It looks beautiful! I’m jealous…I’m in California and we NEVER see snow ;(

  5. Courtney says:

Looks like you guys had fun. We got a little bit of snow, but not as much as you guys in TX.

  6. Oh that is so sweet! I’m down here in south Florida, but have lived many years in North Carolina. My youngest is 4 and has really never been in snow before. Bundling them up (and UNbundling them!) is kind of a pain, but being with them out there is so precious. Make a snow angel for us!

Wow we only got about 1-2 inches two weeks ago and about to get some more today in North Carolina

  8. Oh my, they sure are having fun. Snow in Texas is hard for the drivers to adjust to. KIds, love it.
We went from Nebraska to Odessa, Texas one year, guess what we took with us. Second day there it snowed and my friends 2 year old was outside having a ball…..with bread bags on her feet. Too funny.

Did the snow stick around for long? Lovely photo’s.

I get the same reaction here in Australia ie ‘It snows in Australia!?’ Yep it does, only an hours drive away from me on the mountains, but NEVER at our home, so I’m envious.

Love that white stuff. Hope you are feeling brighter now. I guess you are still recovering, so enjoy the snow from the comfort of your lounge.
