Pizza Hut announces 10.00 Pizzas in 2010 #giveaway

Pizza Hut you are my sunshine, my only sunshine. You make me happy when skies are gray. I love Pizza Hut. We try different brands of pizza, I’ve blogged about different brands of pizza. But, I always come back to my favorite. That’s right, it’s yummy Pizza Hut. Now, the last time I ordered pizza from there. I had a heart attack. I mean, did the prize of pizza really get that high. Remember when you can get to large one tipping pizza’s for 15.99? Was it really that long ago? Well, Pizza hut must have read my mind and realized that a price reduction was in order. Not as low as in my dreams but in reality that price was in 1994. So wanna hear the scoop?

Pizza Hut is starting the new year off right with an amazing deal for Pizza Hut fans — now any pizza from Pizza Hut is just $10. That means customers can order any size pizza, with any crust and any toppings for $10. For only a dollar more, customers can get Stuffed Crust Pizza.

So go crazy! Get the largest size with as many toppings as you want. We’ll still only get a very plain pizza because I have a picky family member but, that doesn’t mean you should hold back.

"We are excited to kick off 2010 with a delicious value for our customers," said Scott Bergren, Pizza Hut President and Chief Concept Officer. "Any way you slice it, no other pizza can compare to the satisfaction and taste you get from Pizza Hut. Our customers have known and loved our signature recipes for years, and now they can get their favorite pizzas from Pizza Hut for just $10."

For ten bucks, pizza fans will be able to pick any size pizza they want, select from more than a dozen topping options, and choose from Pizza Hut’s signature crusts – including Pan Pizza, Hand Tossed Style Pizza, and Thin ‘N Crispy® Pizza. All Pizza Hut specialty pizzas, such as Meat Lovers® and Supreme, are also included in the deal. For a dollar more, customers can enjoy Pizza Hut’s signature crust, Stuffed Crust Pizza.

Pizza Hut’s $10 offer will be available for a limited time and no coupon is required.

Those in need of pizza inspiration can go to pizzahut.com where they can build the pizza of their dreams, ask @pizzahut what to order at twitter.com/pizzahut, or request suggestions by writing on our wall at facebook.com/pizzahut. Or you can always ask me. I worked in pizza sales for about seven years.

Mom Start Saving Guest Post: Elizabeth Cutten, My Ultimate Guide to Finding Coupons

This is a guest post brought to you by Elizabeth Cutten. she helps write, and manage Find Cash Backwards, a blog that showcases the best ways to find coupons, and more.

My Ultimate Guide to Finding Coupons

From an early age, when I grew up with my parents, I always knew that it was wrong to purchase things at full price. Since I saw my Mom, and Dad use coupons on EVERYTHING, I knew it was just silly to go purchase something for full price, because I knew I could get a great deal. Today, I want to show you how you can save more than 10-20% on your purchase every time. Let me walk you step by step on how you should purchase something online.

Get the right price: Before you even start shopping, you should know what you have in mind. Don’t just head to a store for the fun of it, and purchase. Instead, you’ll want to find the best price possible on that product. You’ll want to use something such as PriceGrabber.com that will find the best price across the board. Use this to your advantage.

Have a cash back account: If you’re not earning cash back on your purchases, you’ll want to start doing this immediately. You can sign up with companies such as Ebates.com, FatWallet, or my personal favorite, Bank of America’s AdditUp. AdditUp is my favorite because they put the cash back savings right into your savings account, and they also offer some of the best rates possible in terms of cash back.

What is a cash back account?

Let me touch on this really quick. Let’s say that you wanted to purchase something from Sears. What you’ll do is log into your account, look for sears, and see how much you’re going to get back. With Bank of America, I would get 6% of my purchase back. I’ll click on the link, and do my shopping.

Browse for coupon codes: Coupons are everywhere, and no matter what you’re buying, you’re going to be able to save. Before you ever buy something online, make sure you always look for coupon codes. A simple Google search, such as “(company name) coupon codes” will suffice. When you do this search though, make sure you look at the recent results on Google, to ensure that you get fresh results.

Buy your coupons: If you’re extremely patient like me, you can buy your coupons. This sounds silly, doesn’t it? Let me explain though. You’re going to want to head to eBay, and search for coupons. I’ve searched for everything, and anything, and there’s always a coupon! Bid on it, but make sure you’re not paying too much, and wait for it to arrive.

Get a cash back credit card: Credit cards aren’t evil. You can save money with them, especially if you have a rewards card. For example, my Chase card will give me 1%-3% back on my purchases. As long as you pay your bill off in full, you can take full advantage. Make sure that you make your purchases with a card like this at the checkout. If you want, you can always bill pay the card right away, so that you don’t forget.

How I saved just the other day…

My nephew the other day wanted some clothes from American Eagle. Since I couldn’t really do the PriceGrabber.com thing, I was able to still get a great deal. First off, I bought him 2 pairs of jeans. They were both marked at $39.50, for a total of $79. I headed off to eBay, bought a $50 gift card for $47.50, with free shipping. I then was able to find a 15% off my purchase, with free shipping. After the 15% was applied, it brought my total down to $67.15. I already saved $2.50 with the gift card.

    Here’s how it breaks down…

    · $79 x 15% off = $67.15

    · $50 gift card for $47.50 off eBay = $2.50 savings

    · $67.15 – 4% with Bank of America ($2.69) = $64.46

    · $64.46 – $2.50 (gift card savings) = $61.96

Now, if I wouldn’t have done this, I would have paid $79, plus shipping, which would have brought my purchase to $80+. As you can see, with some patience, and research, I was able to save $20+ off 2 pairs of jeans. I’m hoping this guide works for you, and I’m hoping that you can save big bucks as well. Good luck!

Mastermind a game of logic review and #giveaway

additional product imageMastermind is a classic game of strategy. I’ve played it many times, it was one of my roommates favorite games. She and her boyfriend played it all the time in the apartment we lived in in college. I love logic games so it was fun to watch them play and fun to play myself. It’s still a great game. I was recently sent one of these games to review but since I already know all about it I’m going to donate it without opening. it. Thanks to Pressman, I am able to make this donation and offer one to giveaway to one of you.

But first, let’s make sure you know how to play the game:

This game is for two players only and is for ages 8 plus, but you know your child and their ability at logic. So use your judgment. Just know that there are small pieces in it and that they make a mastermind for kids. (ages 6 +)

It’s the Codemaker vs the Codebreaker

You set up your code and your opponent must guess  you code in a certain amount of turns.

The code is made up of four pegs. You choose your code based on six different colors in the order and pattern of your choice. The codebreaker has 10 chances to duplicate your code based on clues you provide. You provide clues or feedback rather on the responses that the codebreaker made as guesses. Did he get two colors right? One color right? There are more than 2,000 possible code combinations and every game can be a challenge. Which is why I love it so.

When I was in college I remember my favorite professor used to complain about how they no longer teach logic in school. I was taught logic in school, but I went to a private school. Do they really not teach logic anymore? That’s insane. So if it’s true then get your children some games that will encourage logic. I find it a very important skill.

Random Tuesday – one of my new changes for 2010

randomtuesday Random Tuesday Thoughts Im Talking A Lot Of Shit TodayOne of my new years resolutions was to grow my blog and to do that I think I need to reach out to more than just the giveaway crowd. I want to write, I love to write, I always have. I just never thought of it as a career before. I still don’t think of it as a career but it’s a nice hobby. Anyways, this leads me to writing about different things and having more family photos on my blog.

Last night my husband said he noticed that I was putting more pictures up. He wasn’t upset which shocked me. Instead he asked me what photo I chose yesterday, well, since yesterday was my daughter’s birthday I posted a ton of photos of her and didn’t really consider it a photo post.

Thinking about my daughter turning three makes me think even more about the fact that I’m turning 30 this year. What a number, it’s stuck in my head. I just don’t know what to do with being 30. My husband asked me what I wanted to do for my birthday and I have no idea. I think I’d love to have a day at the spa and just be by myself. Get my hair done and relax. Which makes me think of that fact that I really could use a new hairstyle right now. I want to get my hair done before I go to Blissdom. If I was a company, I would look at me and say, that’s not my spokesperson right there. Not being the key word. Not that hair is a magic job in a bottle.

I should probably go visit my mother for my birthday. Take the kids and spend two weeks in Florida. That would be a relaxing time if my mother didn’t work the whole time. I just not sure she would take any time off from her job. She seems to think no one can do it for her. I’m the same way though. When I was a manager, I didn’t trust anyone else to do it right. So I was a workaholic, but I think I’m a workaholic when it comes to this blog too.

    Will I ever learn?

Nature’s Peak Premium Frozen Fruit Review and #giveaway

Nature’s Peak Frozen Fruit is the pinnacle of ease for mother’s. It’s pre-cut ready to eat fruit. You can blend it frozen and add it to yogurt for a smoothie or drop it into a salad or make a healthy dessert. I have a very difficult time with fresh fruit. One, we usually waste so much of it so I feel like I’m wasting money. My kids need fruit though. In fact, since summer time I would have to say that I haven’t even purchased any fruit. Shame on me.

The Nature’s Peak line of premium frozen fruit offers your favorite varieties of fruit individually quick frozen at the peak of ripeness to preserve their color, shape, and taste. When they quick freeze it they don’t add any sugar so it’s like having fresh fruit. Now another thing they thought of for us mothers is that each variety comes ready to serve in a resalable pouch, making it easy and convenient. Everything I think should come in a resalable freezer bag.

One of the fruit flavors that I received was Berry Quartet. Now it’s not my favorite flavor, only because I hate little tiny seeds, but my kids love it. They love strawberries, blueberries, blackberries and raspberries. This fruit package is an excellent source of dietary fiber and provides a good source of vitamin C.

    Other Blend Flavors include:

    Paradise Fruit Medley

    Summer Fruit Salad

    Sun-Ripened Trio

For a Single fruit sample we received the Sunburst Mango. It came with a yummy recipe on the back of the bag. You can find more fruit recipes on their site.
