Meal Plan Monday – Last Week was a wash

I planned out the menu last week and I’m not sure I made a single thing on it. My husband had cleaned out the pantry and I didn’t realize that he had chunked things that he thought were bad. His judgment is a little too strong sometimes. I need some peanut butter, coffee creamer

Monday – Pancakes with fruit topping

Tuesday – Slow cooked Beef Brisket with veggies

Wednesday – Left Overs

Thursday – Grilled Cheese and tomato Soup

Friday – Chicken Enchiladas

Saturday – Left Overs

Sunday – Left overs and PB & J

I’m a big fan of Wendy’s spicy chicken wraps, so the spicy nuggets sound pretty good, too. I love the spicy chicken sandwich, too.

  • 10 Things To Do When You Have Writer’s Block or Blogger’s Block

    In no particular Order:

    1) Listen to the radio

When I’m sitting in the car driving along I hear all these different things that inspire blog articles. Local things that have happened or something on the news announced sparks a lot of thought for me, but by the time I’m sitting at my computer I’ve completely forgotten what that wonderful idea was.

    2) Read the newspaper, Grab a magazine, on-line or off

Newspapers are full of all kinds of ideas. No matter what you blog about you can find information in the Sunday newspaper if you need some ideas: Real Estate, Job listings, Entertainment, Arts, Design, News.. Magazine’s are turning into blogs anyways so why not get some grand ideas from them. I’m not saying you should plagiarize, do not take word for word and then claim something. Just read some articles and then write your own perspective on something you found interesting.

    3) Spend some time with  your family

My kids keep me going day in and day out. They make me laugh, cry, and scream. Turning all of those emotions into an outlet will bring up plenty of ideas to write about.

    4) Check out an on-line forum:

Forums are huge places for discussions and gossip.

    5) Ask your husband/wife

Before I had a product review scheduled every night. I used to ask my husband what I should blog about. He’s always got some crazy idea in his head so if I just picked one of them I’d be set for the night. Sometimes, I only needed half of one of his ideas.

    6) Ask Google

Google is great for all information. You can use any search engine you want for that matter but if you are out of ideas, it’s interesting to just do a search on “Blog Ideas”.

    7) Ask Twitter

To use twitter it depends on who is on at the time and if your followers respond to your questions. It helps if you respond to theirs from time to time.

    8) Go Blog Hopping

I’ve seen lots of people write an article, saying “hey I saw this great article over here”. Then they have a great article about their thoughts relating to that article. Or take an inventory of what works on other people’s blogs. What do they write about that encourages a lot of comments?

    9) Take a Shower

This is another location where ideas just come to me. My mind is clear and lots of things just fly through my mind.

    10) Call your mom

Calling my mom can get me all worked up. She drives me nuts making me want to write a whole post just venting about only God knows what. It’s different every time too. Moms just invoke all kinds of passion, good or bad.

    Fitness Friday – Fighting Depression

new fitness friday button copy Fitness Friday: Its Back ON

My Progress for last week was wonderful and with the small amount of movements I’ve been feeling better. I had my follow up with my doctor and I’ve been released. So I can do more movement and get my life back to normal. I took the kids for one to three walks every day rain or shine and I hate the rain I really do. I’ve been depressed because of the rain. I need some sunshine so I’m going to spend a few weeks in Texas. It’s rained for 15 days straight.

I’ve been talking to my neighbors a little on my exercise adventures because they too have children that need some playtime. It’s their opinion that I just need to get over it an let my kids play in the rain. So today i tried really hard and I let the kids play in the back. It’s a tiny space maybe five feet and they ran back and fourth for a little bit. I was watching them and wishing that I had my energy back, but I know I’m on the right path.

I’m going to continue my walking regimen and try to increase my indoor activity. I need to dig out my Wii Fit game. I’m interested to find out what my weight is in comparison to the last time I was trying to lose weight? Am I higher or lower. I haven’t lost any weight in the last two weeks but the scale hasn’t gone up either and I take joy in that.

I want to continue to drink more water and I’m trying out a new product. The ShaToBu, it claims that I will lose 12 % more calories with the movement I do while wearing it. I understand how it works, because I had my first day with it today. I’m not sure how I’ll feel a difference, all I can say for now is that I feel sucked in. It’s very similar to spanks except where certain parts are thinker and I think that’s how the extra calories are burned. Here’s a short video if you are interested.

My issues with depression are always going to be there and I need to find other ways to fight them than with food and tears. I think working out would be good, no, I know it would. I’ve used it in the past, I just wish I had a little sunshine. Isn’t 15 days just unfair?

It’s also my reason for having such shoddy posts. I just don’t feel up to writing.

Is your Roll Over or Under Cottonelle’s Great Debate #giveaway

Mom Bloggers Club and Cottonelle are asking if you put your roll over or under. We’re an over family. It has to be over or mom and dad are grumpy. I didn’t used to care but after living with my husband for 8 years I just have to have it the same way. When someone is staying in our house, it’s “why is the roll the wrong way”.

Just by leaving a comment on this post you are entered into a giveaway of  1 out of 10 gift baskets that Cottonelle is randomly choosing on January 29th across all the blogs that are entered.

This post is my entry into a chance to win a month’s worth of toilet paper from Cottonelle and Mom Bloggers Club. You can join Mom Bloggers Club for more opportunities like this one.
