Everyone says taht she has made a huge difference in her life and that they love her Blast Off!. One review mentions how Allison uses a story of her own personal journey from despair to triumph. And that story touched them in a way that was insightful and engaging enough to maker that person take action in her own life. I think it’s very impressive when someone has all fives at Amazon.

I’m sure even I could use some inspirational words in my own life. I’m sure I could apply what she has to say to my blog and make it grow twice as big over this next year.

Extra Creamy Cheesy Bagel Appetizer For your Super Bowl Party #giveaway

Entertaining for the Holidays may be over, however, Football season is still in gear and as we get closer to the Super Bowl there will be lots of party planning going on. I would prefer to watch the Puppy Bowl on Animal Planet, but to each his own. No matter what your party planning is you’re going to need some food ideas. So here is one that I like, I edited the recipe from AllRecipes.com. We are a no onion household. It’s a unanimous decision here so I’m sure that if you are an onion person that you might want to add some onions.

Ingredients

1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup

1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese

1 package of Cream Cheese softened (softened)

2 (6 ounce) packages sliced ham, chopped

24 mini bagels, split

Directions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. In a medium bowl, stir together the cream of chicken soup, Cheddar cheese, cream cheese, and ham. If you are a fan of onions you might want to add some chopped onions of your choice (1 cup). Spread onto the cut sides of the bagels. Place on a baking sheet.
  3. Bake for 10 minutes, or until toasted.

Random Tuesday – Daily Trials.

randomtuesday Random Tuesday Thoughts Im Talking A Lot Of Shit Today

So I just went to visit my blog and it says Error establishing connection to database. WHAT, where is my blog. I think my husband broke it. That’s why we create a test page and not mess with the main page.

I have such a headache I want to scream

I’ve been looking at Pre-Schools and can’t make up my mind, save money or stay closer to home. I think I want to just stay close to home, she’ll be close, I could walk is so close but there isn’t enough side walk so it’s not exactly safe. She’ll be close to her friends that will go to Kindergarten with her.

I’m not good at getting out of bed anymore. I just want to stay in bed and then when I do get out of bed I want to feed the kids and get in my chair and take a nap. This morning my daughter said, “I want to take a nap with you in your chair” when she was done with breakfast. I didn’t know if I should be happy or sad.

It was sunny today, made the kids take two walks and now I’m sitting here eating a ton of cookies, not helping my diet here. I have no will power. I’m the one that made the cookies. Good grief.

I’m trying to build up my comments by visiting other bloggers but it’s so hard to keep up once I get the number up a little. I need more time in the day, or maybe I should just quite entrecard. I think I have an addiction.

I have to get up in the morning because I have to start taking my husband to work again. I guess my recovery/vacation is now officially over. Back to a routine, so no more sleeping in my chair. I really need to take a shower too but I’d rather sleep. I guess I’ll take one tomorrow after breakfast. The kids can play in the bathroom. I love my new home.

Emmy Award Winning Juno Baby Juno’s Rhythm Adventure #giveaway

Juno’s Rhythm Adventure presents a world of giggles and imagination. Starting from a historical quote, from Plato:

"The whole of man’s life stands in need of a right rhythm"

Juno's Rhythm Adventure DVD from Juno BabyThis becomes the theme of the entire video focusing on the rhythm aspect of music in a way that can appreciated by children. The recommended age is from 12 months to four years and you might even want to introduce it to your six month old because to me that’s when they really start exploring. Music is a great way to get them into touch and sound. One important key to remember in my opinion is that children learn with interaction. They are too young to be sat in front of a TV and expected to pick it all up on their own.

Classical music has always been well received as a way to stimulate higher thinking levels in children, and the orchestral works by Dr. Takahashi  the creator of Juno, provide the perfect backdrop to Juno, her friends and all the other creative visuals. Juno and her friends are interactive. They talk directly to your children to get them clapping, snapping and playing along. They encourage running, walking to dressing silly and invent a world of discovery waiting for your children.

Dr Takahashi is passionate about her work on Juno:

“As a classical composer and mother, I believe that music has the power to inspire and nurture us creatively, intellectually and emotionally. Music allows us to feel and express ourselves more completely than words often can. My wish is for all children to be surrounded by beautiful and interesting sounds, and for them to keep music forever a part of their lives.”

I found Juno Baby to be easy to watch. I wasn’t left annoyed like some of the other cartoon characters my children like to watch leave me. Classical music is so much easier to listen to than other things. My kids wanted to watch it again and my daughter asked me a lot of questions. She’s at the stage where everything is a question. My son, loves to bang on everything he can anyways so he of course loved it.

DVD Features:

The DVD can be played in English, French and Spanish and develops the following skills:

  • Language development
  • Rhythm/music creation
  • Counting
  • Music appreciation and more!
  • Foreign Languages
  • Encouraging Participation

Languages include: English, French, Spanish
Dolby Digital
Color/Dual Layer
Run Time 45 minutes

Besides offering fabulous educational and developmental entertainment for children, Juno Baby also started the One For All Program to help children in need. For every Juno Baby product purchased, they’ll donate a like product to a child in an underserved community – their goal is to give away 1 million DVDs, CDs and books in 2010. Repax Reusable Grocery/Shopping Bags #giveaway

Going green is on everyone’s mind, even the mass merchandisers. Companies like Target are offering cents off for every reusable bag you bring in for shopping. Most grocery bags end up in the trash can and then in a land fill and it takes forever for them to decompose. So it’s very important to remember to bring in your reusable bags. Save money and the environment.

Repax Bags are cute, stylish reusable bags that fold up super tiny so they are easily stored. They come four to a bag, and each one is a very generous size. Four durable, light-weight bags that hold up to 20 lbs each! Each stores in a easy-to-stash matching storage pouch. They are machine washable lay flat to dry. Each Repax bag is 22” wide and 24” tall. They sent me a set to review and here is my opinion:

They come in three different colors, Lagoon, Mango and Grasshopper. I received the Mango bags that are pictured above. I have found that they hold a great deal of groceries and that you have to tell the bagger to keep stuffing them full. They are strong little bags that hold a TON. I love how small they fold because it makes them much easier to keep in the diaper bag. You don’t even have to fold them, just wad them up and stuff them in the pouch, or keep them all separate in your purse. That’s the biggest issue with me and using reusable bags is that I have to remember to keep them in a place where they will be used. I think right now, most of my bags are in the garage and not the van.

Buy Them:

You can purchase them on-line or in Wholefoods Market.

One reader will receive a set of Repax Reusable Bags.

Make Time for Change with Jennifer Garner and Frigidaire

Refrigerator_Front

Last year, Frigidaire introduced more than 250 new appliances. They were all designed with the idea of creating more time for Moms. To prove just how serious they are, Frigidaire offers a “More Me-Time Guarantee.”

Moms will save a minimum of eight hours a month or their money back.

How promising is that?

Do you remember when I posted about Jennifer Garner, my all time favorite actress, becoming the “face” of Frigidaire?

She teamed up with Frigidaire to launch the new line and to kick off the “Make Time for Change” campaign to support Save the Children. (She’s also a philanthropist).

I was asked to share with you the details about the newest campaign to support Save the Children, called Spin & Win. Starting, today, January 18th, you can log on to www.maketimeforchange.com to play Spin & Win for a chance to win prizes including a new time-saving Frigidaire Affinity washer/dryer. Plus every day you take a spin, Frigidaire donates $1 to Save the Children as part of their $250,000 commitment to this worthy cause.

Refrigerator_InteriorYou might be wondering why I’m posting photos of a Frigidaire Refrigerator?

This is my first post as participation in the Frigidaire Test Drive Program and I’m on “team refrigerator”. Over the next three or four months I’ll be sharing my experience with my new refrigerator. I’m very excited to receive a new appliance. It feels like winning the lottery. We really need more freezer room for all of my bargain shopping. ;-) It should arrive some time in February so be on the look out for the inside scoop.
