The Buckle Toy company sent my family a Turtle Buckle Toy. There is quite a bit to learn from the Turtle Buckle toy.
One, kids learn hand eye coordination by learning to buckle and un buckle the buckles.
Two, they learn how to match simple colors and shapes. The buckles are different types of latches.
Three, they can learn their numbers 1-10
Four, They can learn their shapes![]()
Five, they can learn how to do a zipper up and down, more hand eye coordination.
Six, my son seems to understand that heads turtles belong inside their shell, so he shoves the head inside. So how about turtle anatomy.
The couple behind the Buckle Toy, Seth and Jill Gomez, came up with the idea after a weekend in which their 1-year-old ignored his other toys and kept playing with the buckles on his stroller. The toy is proving to be very popular with my son. He’s at the age where he’s just now trying to start working buckles. My daughter was obsessed with them for the longest time. She will still buckle all the buckles on an empty car seat or stroller that she finds. More details can be found www.buckletoy.com.
The Turtle Buckle Toy, which sells for $24.95
The Photo Review: He’s all smiles and sometimes takes it to bed to cuddle with. He carries it around like a baby doll and loves on it. He sometimes asks for help with the buckles but mostly he just loves to play with it. It’s one of his favorite toys.

The toy was created by Jill Gomez because she saw how her son was fascinated with buckles.

Thank you for this wonderful giveaway

When Gavin was about 12 months old he was fascinated with the buckles on his stroller and high chair.
I’m following you on Twitter (I’m @ThriftyJinxy).
I learned that it doesn’t pinch their little digits, which is the first thing I was worried about! I should’ve known that you’d only endorse safe products though!
I follow you on Twitter as @JennSweepsAlot. Thanks!
