Tom’s of Maine Natural Toothpaste Review and Giveaway

I have quite a few troubles getting my kids to brush my teeth. In attempt to find ways to make brushing more enjoyable, I asked my MOMS Club about their brushing techniques. Switching to Tom’s of Maine was one of the suggestions sent to me.

Tom’s of Maine has a natural toothpaste for kids in Silly Strawberry flavor. So it’s a fun flavor that kids can use because it doesn’t have any fluoride. They use calcium and silica to gently clean the teeth, and the delicious real fruit flavor has even me wanting to use it.

Tom’s of Maine sent me a tube of the children’s anticavity with Fluoride. I think they meant to send me the one without fluoride so I could use it with my kids, but it’s only 2.95 and I’ve seen coupons for it so you can get it even cheaper. It’s good to use. As I said, I like the taste, my kids like the taste.

Now Tom’s of Maine has made a suggestion to me. They said that I should create a silly routine for my kids to brush their teeth to. I never thought of that, and I did a search online and I found that my friend Felicia at Go Graham Go has a great silly brushing technique.

I actually have to bribe my son with the toothpaste to get him to brush his teeth. First I give him a plain toothbrush, and tell him that if he scrubs I’ll put toothpaste on it. It works.

I let my kids choose whatever character toothbrush they want. We sing while they brush! This is the ONLY toothpaste my Autism Spectrum son will use. I’ve even contacted Tom’s to see if they can come up with a Silly Strawberry flavored flouride rinse!

Sadly, my 5 year old is most excited about the “Touch and Brush”, as advertised on Saturday morning TV. It was the birthday present that got the strongest reaction. He now recites the commercial for us as he demonstrates how it works. 4 months later…

My youngest is too young to really brush by himself, but he is just at that age where he doesn’t want help. So, I make him a deal that he can always start as long as I get to finish. He brushes as long as he wants to and then hands it over with a grin.

  32. Aniela says:

We’re lucky that the kids have never resisted brushing teeth, they just do it – I do tell them that the little cavity germs will eat holes in their teeth & that’s why we brush, I’m guessing that helps :)
