I have quite a few troubles getting my kids to brush my teeth. In attempt to find ways to make brushing more enjoyable, I asked my MOMS Club about their brushing techniques. Switching to Tom’s of Maine was one of the suggestions sent to me.
Tom’s of Maine has a natural toothpaste for kids in Silly Strawberry flavor. So it’s a fun flavor that kids can use because it doesn’t have any fluoride. They use calcium and silica to gently clean the teeth, and the delicious real fruit flavor has even me wanting to use it.
Tom’s of Maine sent me a tube of the children’s anticavity with Fluoride. I think they meant to send me the one without fluoride so I could use it with my kids, but it’s only 2.95 and I’ve seen coupons for it so you can get it even cheaper. It’s good to use. As I said, I like the taste, my kids like the taste.
Now Tom’s of Maine has made a suggestion to me. They said that I should create a silly routine for my kids to brush their teeth to. I never thought of that, and I did a search online and I found that my friend Felicia at Go Graham Go has a great silly brushing technique.

Every time my daughter brushes she askes everyone in the house to look at her teeth & tell her how good they look – once 1/2 way through & then again when she’s done. At least she cares!

my kids love to brush their teeth – i guess a silly ritual would be just having fun toothbrushes that sing and light up – the kids love to use them

I keep a huge chart where when my daughter brushes her teeth she gets a sticker put on the chart. It has worked wonders.
My sons try and make each other laugh so sometimes toothpaste gets everywhere.
I couldn’t really think of a silly brushing ritual, but I have a gross one..lol..My four-year-old, three-year-old, and my two-year-old can’t seem to master the art of spitting out the toothpaste, so they let it dribble down their chins, chests, etc.. Needless to say, I don’t dress them until AFTER they have brushed.

it sounds wierd but my son likes to rub my eyebrow for comfort while i brush his teeth…and some nights if he’s really resisting brushing i make a game out of the no eyebrow…which gets him to want to brush
