NYR – 5 Dollar Dinner Mom Cookbook “200 money saving recipes” #giveaway

5DinnerMomcover As far as New Year’s Resolutions go, they revolve around losing weight, saving money, changing your lifestyle, and re-devoting your life to God. Those are all biggies. So this giveaway is going to be about saving money. I recently had the opportunity to review the cookbook The $5.00 Dinner Mom Cookbook.

Erin Chase was featured on Rachel Ray because in 2008 she set out to cut her groceries from over 500.00 a month to less than 300.00 a month. Her goal was to make as many 5.00 recipes as she could and a year later she had 200 recipes and created her book. The 5.00 Dinner Mom. This book has each recipe laid out with ingredients and directions as do all cookbook but beside each ingredient she tells you  how much she paid for it.

You might think, “How does this help me to save money?”

Erin helps you save money because she gives all of her secrets away before the recipes even start. She explians about using coupons and combining sales. When to participate in the 10 for 10.00 and how much to buy at a time. She also gives you tips on how to avoid your weaknesses while you are at the grocery store. Don’t give in and buy that candy bar, coke or magazine. Distract yourself with your coupons, organizing your groceries or deal with the children.

I have one extra copy of this book to give to one of my lucky readers, so you can start off saving money in the new year.
