New Years Resolution: Drink More Water, Ayala’s Herbal Water #giveaway

This week I’ve been trying to hit up the most popular New Years Resolutions. One I know is to start living more healthy. One way to do that is to drink more water, but as a water drinker, I can tell you that water gets old and boring. I need a little flavor in my water, so I’ll drink tea or coffee, but when you turn to caffeinated beverages you need to double up on your water even more.

Recommended amount of water a day is eight glasses, that’s a lot of water. You drink coffee or soda or sugar you should drink even more. I’m great at drinking 9 glasses of water a day because I have a water bottle that I refill three times a day and it holds 3 glasses. Now, I love coffee so I need to drink even more water to keep it flushed out. It’s so hard because I really want some flavor, but I don’t want any extra calories or sugar.

Ayala’s Herbal Water is just water infused with flavor. (at least that’s what it tastes like to me). The herbal water began in the Spring of 2005 in Dr. Ayala Laufer-Cahana was inspired by her garden. She has spent years exploring healthy ways to feed children and adults. She was seeking drinks without the sugar just like me. She used her herbs in her garden to infuse water, her friends and family just loved it so out came the link of water you can now purchase.

Ayala’s Herbal Water sent me a tasting kit. I have to say, they defiantly excite the taste buds in different ways. With six different flavors I’m sure you can find a flavor that will refresh and satisfy your water needs.

Tasting Thoughts for the Flavors:

Ginger Lemon Peel – This is a light, neutral flavor with a crisp, clean taste. A mild and refreshing balance of lemon and ginger that hits the spot any time of day.

Lavender Mint Lemongrass Thyme – A cooling, refreshing flavor featuring four distinct herbs that blend harmoniously on your palate. Evokes the soothing serenity of a spa.

Lemongrass mint Vanilla – This flavor has a mellow, lightly minty taste followed by a smooth, rich undertone of vanilla – very refreshing on a hot day!

Lemon Verbena Geranium – The much more sophisticated, crisp depth of Lemon Verbena is softened by a delicate floral scent of Rose Geranium. A refreshing palate cleanser!

Clove Cardamom Cinnamon – Earning rave reviews, this flavor is the most complex, intriguing blend. An earthy, slightly spice taste with bright tones evocative of sweetness; reminiscent of Chai tea or a savory autumn dessert.

Cinnamon Orange Peel – A sunny flavor combining citrus orange with a mildly sweet hint of cinnamon; a refreshing, uplifting aroma.

My Thoughts for the Flavors:

They taste just like they sound. Each flavor is enough to make the water interesting again. And it’s just like drinking water, nothing has been added except the flavor from the herbs that it was infused with. Lemon is always a great flavor added to water. Do you ever add lemon to your water at a restaurant? I think I would have to say though, that my favorite flavor is the Cinnamon Orange Peel. I wasn’t sure about what I would think of cinnamon water, but the orange and cinnamon actually make a great combination. What I really love is that they don’t have any calories, preservatives, or chemicals. It’s just water. It’s wonderful and refreshing. A great addition to my desire to lose weight.

They are 24.00 for a case of 12, unless you order in bulk.
