Merry Christmas from my family to yours

Mom Start wants to wish you a very Merry Christmas. I hope you has a great time with your family and just enjoyed each other without too many antics. I know in-laws can be crazy and so can blood relatives. I don’t have any crazy stories to tell, and if I did they probably read my blog so I can’t share them. Love to read yours though!

LOL Love it! Hope your guys holidays was great also. Since no one else posted any “dirt” I’ll give ya a lil bit- LOL
My mom & dad divorced after 27 yrs of marriage which was about 10 yrs ago now- Well, we all still try to get together for holidays so the kids see both grandparents. Again, this year and every year they always get into a “snippy” fight- Now, when they do this I tell them to cut it out or we will take the kids home, ask them to leave, etc depending on where we are. Then w/ both of them being head strong they both still want the last word… they end up in a “snippy fight” arguing over who is going to “drop it” so they can visit with the kids- It’s funny in a way to watch for a minute then it gets stupid and so everyone can visit, one of us (me, SIL, hubby, whatever) ends up taking one of them off to the store or on a walk to cease and desist the animosity. That’s our dirt- LOL It gets to where one year we told all our relatives we were going elsewhere for Christmas and then stayed home.
This year was better but we didn’t stay over long and only went to see them on Christmas Eve.

Great family photo. Wish we had a fireplace like yours.
Family antics on Christmas none. Yet everyone was tip toeing around my sister-in-laws feelings and behavior swings on Christmas. She was trying to pick fights with everyone, even her husband, but no one fell into her trap. She does this every Christmas and quite frankly we are all tired of it. We may not have a family Christmas gathering anymore. The other relatives discussed it with us. Her behavior just upsets her Dad too much, and with his health he doesn’t need to go through it. She does have a bipolar disorder, but her husband makes sure she always takes her medications, so some people think she’s just doing some fancy dramatic acting to get attention from her Dad. I don’t know if that’s the case or not, but it is too much to go through every year, so everyone is thinking about just having their own Christmas’ celebrations in their own homes for now on instead of gathering at my in-laws home.
