I’ve been serving Holey Donuts at MOMS Club events and for my husband’s breakfast

Click here to return to our home page.Holey Donuts chose a few bloggers to help them with their advertising on-line. I wrote to them and asked if could help them out, just because I’m always on the look out for something to take to MOMS Club. Luckily they accepted Mom Start. So they sent me three boxes of these things.

New 100 Calorie!, Low Fat Cinnamon Buns MiddlesThe first one we tried was the low fat box of mini cinnamon buns. They of course were yummy. They came frozen in a freezer safe box and then I kept them frozen until I was ready to serve them. You can defrost them in the microwave. This is the most frustrating part. You have to defrost them at 15 second intervals and it took forever. Or it felt like forever so I decided to just wait until they were at room temperature before I tried them.

They were great. I didn’t get to see the reaction of the other MOMS that I served them to because I had to run some other errands. I just dropped the food off and left. Overall, it was quite a simple procedure. I mean, all you have to do is leave them in the box and either use the microwave or not.

The second ones we tried I served to my husband for breakfast. We tried the full size box of four low fat cinnamon buns. These I wanted to cook in the oven so when my husband came downstairs for breakfast he could smell them. He said they smelled delicious and ate two. He is not a big eater so I was quite excited that he liked them. I ate one and my kids didn’t get any. The third one disappeared. I’m really not sure where it went. He was also funny when he found the nutritional information later. He said, he was surprised that even after he ate two large ones that it was fewer calories than eating a big mac.

There aren’t any oven directions because you don’t need to cook them, I just knew that the smell would be wonderful. I cooked them at 350 until they were done. It took about 15 minutes.

The last box we are going to try tomorrow. I’ll have to let you guys know because it’s flavored. Not just a simple box of cinnamon buns. YUM!
