My Description

The Jimmies CD and DVD is more my kind of music than for my kids. I love it. I mean it’s up beat and a lot of fun. I’m not saying my kids didn’t enjoy it but as a parent that doesn’t want to fall asleep during the day this was perfect. The DVD inspired me too. There was educational aspects to the well done video. It was also very whimsical. So it was captivating and spell binding at the same time. Another reason why I love spending time with my kids, singing, dancing and all the giggles therein.

A new survey conducted by Jimmy Dean shows that more than one quarter of Americans fail to eat a satisfying breakfast that keeps them satiated throughout the morning – leaving them feeling groggy, tired and distracted. On busy mornings, too many of us eat on the run, filling up with sugary cereals, carb-loaded breads and other foods that actually leave us tired and hungry before lunch.

We have also found out that October is National Sausage month, and what better way to celebrate but with sharing recipes and food ideas.

Sissy Biggers is a lifestyle expert who has appeared on TV, radio, print and on the Internet. She has been showcased on Lifetime TV, the Food Network’s Ready, Set Cook! and ABC’s Complete Makeover”. 11th Hour Complete Series Release

I thought I was getting this DVD to review from Warner Brothers but I never received it and I can’t complain because they send me so many cool DVD’s to review anyways. So I can’t write a review but I can tell you it looks like my kind of drama and I’m happy to write about the release that took place last week. The Complete series is a six DVD set. I love science and how far it can be pushed dramatically on TV. Scares me a bit because I get sucked into believe all of the possibilities.

Starring Rufus Seewell as Dr. Jacob Hood, a brilliant biophysicist and special science advisor to the government. Oh Canada, Pillsbury Baking Challenge win a years worth of groceries.

The contest is called the Pillsbury Baking Challenge, and it offers a great way for the creative Canadian baker/recipe maker to win for their creations!

What am I talking about?

Visit www.bakingchallenge.ca until November 15, select the Pillsbury product that you would use as the basis in your recipe, add your additional ingredients/preparation instructions and you’re done!

You can upload as many recipes as you want until November 15.

Bravado Designs is launching an information arm called the Bravado Breastfeeding Information Council (BBIC) on November 10th, which will serve as a resource to the media, including non-traditional outlets (like yourself!), that both authoritatively communicate to and influence women, to provide accurate and non-judgmental information, statistics and trends on a regular basis in order to educate the public at large as well as to support a positive breastfeeding experience for women in North America.

Talk about a mouthful! As part of this launch we will be releasing findings from our database of over 80,000 women. However, we’re looking to get one more survey out before then and try and to hear from as many women as possible, across as many different backgrounds as possible to give every mother a voice.

Bake Me a Wish Seasonal Cake #giveaway

Bake me a wish sent me a full size cake and I didn’t get a single bite of it. That was around the Fourth of July. We did a giveaway and the winner did not claim their prize. So we’re going to have a Fall Themed Cake Giveaway but first, let’s weigh in one one of my friends who did have a bite.

Summer Said:

So here are my 2 cents:

I’m not chief and I am sure there are better people to review this cake. However, most of us aren’t chiefs or we’d be making our own cakes. But when you have to go somewhere or throw your own party sometimes baking your own cake is the LAST thing on your mind … especially as a mom! The cake was surprisingly moist for a brownie-like cake; I find brownie from scratch, from a box, ones ordered or catered in are regularly dry. The frosting was very creamy and the edge had chocolate shavings. I love chocolate but I believe sometimes there can be too much. This cake wasn’t like that at all. A modest serving wasn’t too much — not too chocolaty (although it’s all chocolate), and not too sweet.

Celine Dion is one of my personal favorite artists. I love her ability to sing and change and keep up with being a mother, artist and wife.

I asked for this CD for two years, one I think I was asking before it even came out. I wanted her Christmas Album and well she hadn’t put one out yet.

Then she did and my husband had a hard time finding it but I finally got it for Christmas after the birth of my first daughter. So, these really were special times.

Actually according to Amazon she released this album in 1998, the year I graduated from high school over ten years ago. There are 16 special songs on this wonderful CD.

My trial with Raw Natural Beauty:

I love using powder over liquid foundation so that is how I used this one. I used my regular foundation and then used the raw powder over it to take the shine away.
