Medela — #1 Choice of Hospitals and Mothers
Medela sent me a nursing bra to donate.. So, The donation is a review but they are also providing a giveaway. And just so you know I’m not going to “review” it. I’m just going to tell you my impressions. I’m not breastfeeding anyways.
Product information:
September 13, 2009 — Two new nursing bra designs that marry comfort with style are now available from Medela, the worldwide leader in breastfeeding and breastpumping research and products. The Seamless Jacquard and Microfiber Nursing Bras are smooth under clothes and provide the optimal fit and support that moms have come to expect from the Medela intimate apparel line.
Both nursing bras are designed to offer moms maximum comfort. They’re available in underwire and wire-free styles with a breathable Coolmax® fabric inner frame that wicks moisture away from the body, helping mom stay cool. Straps are tapered-in to keep them in place on shoulders while the no-tag design gives moms added comfort.

All D-H cup sizes have a hidden sling for side shaping and support. Additionally, the Microfiber Nursing Bra, which is designed for larger cup sizes, offers cushioned, wider straps to help relieve shoulder pressure and prevent the straps from digging into the skin.
The Jacquard Nursing Bra features a breastfeeding reminder that slides from side to side to help moms remember which side she breastfed from last.
“Through our extensive work with nursing moms we know that correct fit and comfort are paramount for a nursing bra, but moms also want feminine details,” said Anne Ng’ang’a, product manager of intimate apparel from Medela. “The new Jacquard and Microfiber Nursing Bras give moms both, with extra features that make nursing easy and convenient, like the breastfeeding reminder.”
The new Seamless Bras join Medela’s wide range of intimate apparel offerings, which include the Sleep Bra, Comfort Bra and Nursing Camisole. The Seamless Microfiber Nursing Bra comes in white, black and mocha and is available in sizes 32 DD-F, 34-38 DD-H and 40-46 D-H. The Jacquard Nursing Bra has a suggested retail price of $39.99 and the Microfiber Nursing Bra has a suggested retail price of $39.99 for size DD and $44.99 for sizes F, G and H. Both nursing bras are available starting in October 2009. To locate a retailer near you visit http://medela.findlocation.com/.
My Impressions
The bra is easy to open and close for feeding and it is made of a light material. It is soft and easy to clean. Unlike some of the other brands there are more sizes available so you can find a closer more comfortable fit. Which is important I found because you need the support from all of the weight and more control always kept me from leaking. Of course I never went without pads and they were always full. I made a ton of milk with my first and none for my second. Sizes available:
Seamless Jacquard Nursing Bra
Sizes: 32 C-D, 34-38 B-D and 40 C
Colors: white, black and latte
Seamless Microfiber Nursing Bra
Sizes: 32 DD-F, 34-38 DD-H and 40-46 D-H
Colors: white, black and mocha
Both are available in underwire and wire-free.
