Cuisinart contacted me and asked me to do a review of the Cuisinart Water Filtration System and I didn’t think there was anything with my water. Later after I had already told the company no, my husband said,

“I want to get a new water filter”.

Grrr.

 

I already agreed to host a giveaway so I’m very jealous of this giveaway. You guys get to have all the fun with this one.

Offering Consumers a Convenient Way to Enjoy Fresher-Tasting, Healthier Filtered Water

Water is one of the most important aspects of a healthy lifestyle, though these days consumers must be increasingly vigilant about the water they consume.  Ubiquitous chemicals called phthalates can be found in nearly every American’s body, and are present in a bevy of consumer products, including plastic water bottles.  These chemicals can pose serious threats to consumers’ health*, and one way of avoiding contact with them is to filter water at home, eliminating the need for bottled water altogether.

Cuisinart is introducing an affordable and convenient means of providing healthier, filtered water for the entire family, without relying on bottles.  The Cuisinart® CleanWater® Countertop Filtration System is available in a 2-gallon capacity unit (model no. WCH-1500) that comes with two fast flow spigots for dispensing hot, cold or room-temperature filtered water, as well as an Energy Saver mode that cuts energy use by 50 percent when the function is engaged. 

This new water filtration unit can be used to:

CleanWater™ Countertop Filtration Systemmake bottles
make oatmeal
make hot chocolate
make ramen
make boiling water go faster

 

I currently use my Keurig machine for all of that and I think the Cuisinart Water filter is much more suited for such tasks.

 

 

Drink Cool Water at 44 degrees

quiet and refreshing

(this is the kicker, I didn’t realize it didn’t need to be refrigerated. I looked at it and thought I can’t fit that in my fridge so I don’t want it. Maybe next time I’ll read the description better before I pass up on a review)

Performance:

One of the signature benefits of the Cuisinart filtration system is that the unit’s GF-80 filter significantly reduces contaminants such as lead, mercury and copper, as well as the taste and odor of chlorine. The filter has a life of three months for average household use and is certified by the Water Quality Association.

Other:

The brushed stainless steel housing of the Cuisinart CleanWater® Countertop Filtration System makes it an attractive addition to any countertop.

Cuisinart is supporting the new water filtration unit with an extensive marketing campaign, including a dedicated website, www.cuisinartcleanwater.com, which serves as a product and information resource. The site has numerous features that educate consumers on all the aspects of water and water consumption, reinforcing the importance of drinking filtered water for the health and well-being of the entire family.

Cuisinart’s WCH-1500 filtration system joins a 1.5-gallon capacity unit (WCH-1000) from the company that dispenses cold or room temperature water from a single fast flow spigot. The filtration system also has other signature product features from Cuisinart, such as thermoelectricity and a GF-80 filter that significantly reduces contaminants.

    Hi! I went to the site and found a few items I love. The big priority for me right now is getting a new coffee maker. They have the “Grind & Brew Thermal™ 10-Cup Automatic Coffeemaker”. The thermal pot is great at keeping coffee fresh. Very nice!

    OMG I watched the video on that filtration system and it is exactly what I need. I get so tired of filling my pitcher 10x a day, and am too afraid to try and hook up an undersink type filter. Drinking directly from the tap is not a good option around here.

    As for Cuisinart, I love their products and have been lusting over a 14 cup Elite Collection food processor for quite some time! It’s in sexy stainless steel, too. :)

    Another product I’d like to have is the 2qt classic whistling kettle. I had a lovely kettle when I first got married, but I wasn’t used to electric stoves, turned on the wrong burner, and it burned up the kettle before I realized what was happening.
