Epson Stylus NX515 Review and selling at a new lower price

Epson Stylus NX515 (printer/copier/scanner) prices & storesWOW!

Yes I was extremely lucky to be able to review this new printer the Epson Stylus NX515. Epson sent me the printer while I was in Texas to review. I fell in love with it while I was setting it up but I already promised to let my parents keep it.

Epson Stylus NX515 WiFi Color Inkjet All-in-One Printer (C11CA48231) for 104.95 on Amazon

My Process

I opened the box, I took it out. I briefly looked at the directions. Because I thought I read that it was wireless. I wasn’t entirely sure what that meant so I looked to see that I didn’t have to plug it into any computer or network. I mean it doesn’t even come with cables but as I remember printers do not usually come with cables anyways.

I turned it on and plugged it into the outlet for power. Reverse that.

I went into the settings and into network then I found my dad’s network and connected. It was that easy.

I was so excited at how easy it was. Then I installed the printer on all of the computers and there weren’t any problems there either. There is a disk if you need it and the directions that come with the printer are very easy to follow.

You do have other options:

Epson offers three ways to link the printer up to a computer:

direct using USB 2.0,

wired Ethernet,

and 802.11b/g cord-free Wi-Fi. (the process I described above)

The printer is quiet and prints well. I didn’t use it enough to determine what the ink usage is and they sent us some extra ink so I don’t even know how much the ink costs. I just know I love that printer now. It’s a reasonable price.

Beginning Sunday, Sept. 20, the NX515 will be sold at an even lower price – $129.99 MSRP.

With all the amazing features the Stylus NX515 offers, including built-in Wi-Fi and Ethernet capabilities, black text speeds up to two times faster than the competition, a 2.5” tilt LCD screen, one-touch copying, and instant-drying inks, consumers are getting even more bang for their buck with the lower price.

IMG_1523I printed off some photos of my kids before I left. Grandma is already on my case about sending her some more photos digitally so she can print them on her new printer. It takes all kinds of different memory cards. You just plug them in and print. I know most of you are probably familiar with that already but it’s a new feature compared to what I’m using at my house.

Epson includes a media card reader and PictBridge compatible USB port in the bottom-left corner next to the output tray, with slots for xD, SD, and MemoryStick Pro, as well as a longer slot for CompactFlash cards.

I don’t think it’s fast enough for my husband but for normal people it’s great. Oh and it scans and copies. I used it to copy a few old photos that I wanted to take with me and my stepmom wanted to keep. They were given to me so I guess you could say I made copies for her.

I love how it looks to. It’s sleek and black and beautiful. I love technology, if only I didn’t give it to my parents. Oh man!

Vista Print is where I get business Cards

I have signed up for the free samples at Vista Print and decided to use them to get business cards. It was awesome because I only paid for shipping on 500 business cards. My MOMS Club uses them too. If you would like to try them out do so. I recommend them.

The “BOB” Diaper Bag Review

clip_image002I love the BOB stroller. I have recently discovered the BOB diaper Bag as well. Available in nine bold and beautiful color combinations, the bags feature a large stink-proof easy to clean changing pad, an insulated bottle pocket with a cute zebra print, plenty of zippered storage and even a removable waterproof pouch for those messy little surprises. Which is currently out. I forgot to put it back in. You can even use the separate pockets for glasses, cell phones and keys. Which you’ll hear me describe in further detail if you watch my video.

A far cry from the ultra-trendy and costly totes (Dad wouldn’t be caught dead carrying), the BOB Diaper Bags are built to support many years of usage and stay classically stylish throughout. MSRP: $65

My Dualli stroller was purchased but the diaper bag was provided by the Company BOB. I received no other compensation for this post.

Use Entrecard to improve your Alexa Rating

Now I know what the benefit of using Entrecard is. I have been using Entrecard off and on for over a year now or maybe it’s right at a year. Anyways, I finally see a pattern that makes it worth while.

While I was using Entrecard last month my Alexa rating dropped (which is a very good thing) down to the low 90,000 now it’s going back up at an alarmingly high rate. I love when my rating is below 100,000 because business want to work with me when it’s low. But it’s so hard to keep dropping those entrecards. There has to be a better way to lower my Alexa rating. I guess until I figure out a different formula I’m going to go back to dropping as close to 300 a day as I can. If only there were more hours in a day.

Oh and Entrecard gave me a boost in visitor numbers last month too. I had over 16,000 unique viewers for two months in a row and over 85,000 page views. YEAH!!!

Aden and Anais Swaddle Blanket #giveaway

aden + anaisAfter being a mom and having two children and knowing to completely different children (mine are so different) I know that any mom can always use another clean blanket. Aden and Anais sent me a blanket to review and there are quite a few things I like about it. I didn’t use it so I’m going to donate the one they sent me to review to my local MOMS Club. I felt it and looked at it and it’s actually large enough to swaddle a baby in. A lot of swaddle blankets at too small to use on a baby that is born weighing nine pounds or more. Even the nurses had a hard time trying to swaddle my son when he was born. So they had to get the largest blankets they could find.

Organic Dragonfly Single WrapThis swaddle seems large enough measuring 47 by 47 inches. It is also incredibly light. I think a lot of babies get too hot when they are nice and swaddled. I agree it is the best thing to do, both of my children slept better during naps if they were wrapped up nice and tight. Must be because they were so tight when they were in me. My son was one to get too hot when swaddled so it was a challenge to find just the right blanket for him. It would have been nice to have seen this one before.

Their wraps come in organic cotton muslin with low impact eco prints.

Looking for Local Yellow Pages

local I think that the phone company should stop printing phone books. I think it’s a waste. I mean they print them every year and they are so big. All the information you need is on-line now days and you can find it from most cell phones. Maybe I’m a bit ahead of myself but at the old house we lived at we received three different phone books with yellow pages in them and we received a new one every year and maybe opened each one one time to find an obscure phone number for our phone company.

Now you can use the internet and there is a site called Local. Local is based off of Citysearch.com, yelp.com, yellowpages.com and the Superages.com. I’m a little weirded out here because I went to the site and it pulled up my local information automatically. The first time I went to the site. I’m confused. ;-)

I see local restaurants, local yellow pages, and local search options. They even have local coupons. I’m hooked, at the word coupons. It’s like a one stop place for searching without even beginning a search. On their website is says that they are “powered by the company’s patent-pending Keyword DNA™” . Which means they wrote their own algorithm and indexing system to find the best most relevant searches local to your area. These include special offers, reviews, local businesses’ website links, maps, driving directions relevant to your area.

Leap Frog Let’s Go To School Review

image Leapfrog sent me two DVD’s out, just in time for back to school. We reviewed one of them but now that I’m back in my new house I want to give the extra copy away.  In this new DVD, Tad and Lilly are back and getting ready to go to school. Leap gets them everything they need and then they realize, we’re going to school and they are afraid they aren’t ready.

The DVD titled Leap Frog: Let’s Go To School hit stores on August 18th, and even if your kids have already started school or are going to next year it would make a great stocking stuffer. I know that I’m going to start my Christmas Shopping soon. I’m still working on cleaning out all the moving boxes. I need to get busy so we can start thinking about Christmas decorations too.
