Know before you buy Get Answers Go Shopping at pebble

My husband is the biggest on-line shopper I know. He endlessly goes from site to site looking for the greatest deal. He can keep all that information up there in his head.

I have no idea how to do that. I have to get out my excel sheet out and write down the price from this site and the price from that site. I’m very list oriented. It’s one reason why I keep my blog layout like a list.

I was recently introduced to pebble.com and I thought I’d give it a go. So for my first try, I typed in HTC Snap. I was interested in what would come up since I’m doing a giveaway for one right now.

This is all I saw at first. I thought, oh no, it didn’t find anything for HTC Snap, perhaps it’s only for clothing or accessories, well I went ahead and typed in laptop comparison. It says you can ask questions right. So then I noticed that a list was down there below. All I had to do was scroll down.

So here is a list of what it found where I did HTC Snap.

So from here you can click on the item you were searching for and then you can compare prices on that exact item. It then takes you directly to the store that you need to purchase the item from.

Asking questions about items is easy.

Signs of Economic Recovery and advice from a bank manager

Friday’s job report showed an unexpected drop in the number of jobs lost (247,000). The national unemployment number actually declined (9.4%) from the prior month’s reading (9.5%). The stock market reacted positively, and is currently up around 150pts……however, the bond market is reacting poorly to the news as more money continues its trend in moving out of the safe haven of bonds into the higher return potential of stocks. This is bad news for mortgage rates which amplified their weekly trend UP this morning. As continued signs of economic recovery present themselves, we could see a continuation to the recent sharp rise in mortgage rates into next week. At this point, all signs point in this direction as additional announcements of treasury auctions will also add to the supply in the bond market (mortgages are pooled and sold in the bond market as Mortgage Backed Securities).

All market analysts are advising to encourage those shopping for home loans to LOCK before things get worse…..rates are ending the week up about .5% from Monday’s levels….another .5% next week could discourage our customers…..note: Alert to LOCK.

FYI – Did you know that at BofA we have one free float down option for our customers during a lock period should we see rates improve. It is our commitment to hedge against the high side, while taking care of the customer during the lock period to take advantage of any improvement potential.

Imagination Movers are going on tour dates

With a hit Disney Channel series and a newly released Walt Disney Records CD under their belt, my daughter’s favorite band Imagination Movers will launch their first-ever U.S. concert theater tour.

The “Live From The Idea Warehouse Tour” kicks off October 10 in Shreveport, Louisiana (They shoot their show in Louisiana) and winds up December 13 in Spokane, Washington which is very close to me. I know what we’re doing this December.

After signing to Walt Disney Records, Imagination Movers released their debut album “Juice Box Heroes” in March 2008. Their new CD, "For Those About to Hop," was released last month. P.F. Chang’s recently introduced a new kids menu. This is the first time the restaurants have offered a menu specially designed for children. P.F. Chang’s is very interested in getting feedback from moms like us about the menu, including the items featured, the price and any other thoughts /suggestions we might have on the family dining experience. I love P.F.Chang’s but my husband doesn’t so we don’t go eat there. I think they have quite a few options and it never bothered me that they don’t have a kid’s menu. Now that they do I wonder if I can convince my husband to give it another try?

If you have been following my blog for a while, you know that I was chosen as one of the moms to test the new HTC Snap that only works on Sprint’s network. I was extremely excited to receive it and my initial reactions to the phone were AMAZING. I stopped writing about it because I became very busy with trips but for my first two trips I was so happy I had the phone. Airports charge you for wireless and I get bored waiting on planes. I usually sleep. Well, thanks to my HTC Snap I was actually able to get blogging work done while waiting in the airport.

However, it died! I had to take the battery out and put it back in and that’s why I stopped writing about it. I’m working with Microsoft and Sprint to try and figure out what’s wrong with my phone. So while we’re waiting let’s get the giveaway started.

I have an extra phone just waiting to enter someone else’s hands. I will run the giveaway for a week and a half because I need the winner to respond before noon on August 22. I have to get this phone in the mail to you before I head back to Washington. I don’t want to carry it on the suitcase with me.
