Awesome natural cure to the pesky back to school LiceMD
Can you believe it is already time to send the kids back to school!? If your kids are going to school yet. You should be thinking about back packs, folders, pencils and lunch packing! Unfortunately, it is also time to start preparing for some of the “pesky” stuff too.
I asked my husband if he ever had issues with Lice. He said no that’s not very common. Well, this is something that I disagree with because I had Lice more than once growing up and I remember using that nasty stuff on my head and having to use it twice.
LiceMD® contacted me and asked me to introduce parents to a pesticide-free breakthrough treatment that will help take control of lice outbreaks this school year, while keeping you from worrying about how strong those stinky chemicals must be!
Why will parents have peace of mind?
Because LiceMD’s primary ingredient is dimethicone, a safe and effective synthetic lubricant that is odorless, non-irritating to scalp and hypoallergenic. So did you see that, no stink. That’s the thing I remember more than anything else. It’s the stink. With the introduction of LiceMD®, parents can now not only say good-bye to head lice, but they can also bid farewell to pesticides.
Did you know that head lice is one of the most contagious conditions among children, only second to the common cold?
As kids head back to school they are once again faced with the risk of catching head lice from peers. Girls always share brushes and when you’re at school you’re so close together. Head lice can be spread whenever there is direct contact with the head or hair of an infested individual. As gym class, lunch time and recess are all fun for a child, these are also prime opportunities for lice to spread due to close interactive with one another. In order to educate parents about treating head lice and preventing future outbreaks, Combe Inc., the makers of LiceMD, has recently launched an educational Web site, www.LiceMD.com. The Web site includes the latest research, frequently asked questions, an "Instructional” video, and so much more.

On-line Shopping with shopwiki
How do you decide where you are going to go shopping with all of the on-line options. I have no idea. I think we mostly use Amazon just because it’s what we know. Being a blogger, I’ve been introduced to so many different things as I go along. I was just introduced to Shopwiki. I thought with wiki in the title it must have tons of information.
Since the major topic of the month is “Back to School” Let’s look at some items you can purchase at shopwiki for back to school
Lamps are needed for college dorm rooms, and for bed rooms. Kids need to study at night and having a desk with a lamp makes studying much easier. Then you have to decide what kind of lamp you are going to get. Would you get a cute purple one for your darling daughter or would you get a plane normal low voltage halogen lamp?
In the past I would have gone with the low voltage halogen lamp but now, I would go for as much color as I can find. However, Shopwiki only starts there. ShopWiki has a crawler-based search engine for finding your shopping desires. It doesn’t rely on managed XML feeds And because it searches the whole Web, CEO Rory Cumming says it delivers the lowest price the majority of the time.
Off Clip on mosquito repellent review.
I purchased one of these for my husband when i first noticed them in Walgreens. He came in from mowing the grass the night before and told me that the mosquitoes were immune to the off we had in the house or the off we had in the house was expired. Well, I think we were out of Deep Woods Off which is what you need to wear if you are in our area.
He gave me one of those looks a husband gives his wife when they are in complete disbelief that a product would work. So he refused to use it, especially after he read that you have to be stationary for it to work, and I never opened the package and well that package is in WA waiting on me to review it.
So when the Family Review Network said I had the chance to do a review of OFF!® Clip-On™ Mosquito Repellent I was really excited to give it a go.
Directions:
Within minutes, the repellent provides personal protection from mosquitoes. If you move, allow a few minutes for the unit to rebuild its protection. There is no need for skin application which is great for children. I don’t like those un recommended chemicals that are in the sprays. Unlike ordinary personal repellents, OFF!® Clip-On™ repellent provides mosquito protection without putting anything on your skin. The clip is fan powered, quiet, battery-powered fan circulates repellent all around you. Batteries are included.
Each refill provides up to 12 hours of head-to-toe protection. One refill is included with the unit. OFF!® Clip-On™ repellent refills are sold separately and contain 2 repellent disks (for a total of 24 hours of mosquito protection).
Enjoy the protection of OFF!® Clip-On™ repellent when:
- Relaxing in your backyard
- Lounging at the beach
- Gardening
- Camping
- Attending sporting events
- Enjoying the park
I like using it. I didn’t clip it on me but putting on the deck by the little kiddy pool while my children swim keeps them from getting devoured. Works like all the Off products we have tried out. Quite Well.
This post was written for Family Review Network as part of a program by SC Johnson, who also supplied the product for review.
OMG I’m in a K-Mart Commercial How Cool is that?
So I went to the design summit that Sears Holding Corporation put on for some bloggers and I’ve made a few posts about it. It was quite a learning experience for me and for Sears. They learned about social media, I learned how to make money out of my blog and how to network with other bloggers. While also learning about Sears and K-mart and all their home design products. I had an awesome time. Oh yeah,,
And my commercial….You can laugh at me, my whole family already has!!

The healing power of perseverance over cancer
My Aunt was diagnosed with stage four Breast Cancer three years ago and they said it’s going to be her last Christmas. She has been fighting and working very hard with doctors and God and is still alive. I have been completely impressed with her. She has been using natural methods for as long as she could hold out. She was very upset when even her homeopathic doctors told her she had to do chemo or she would die. Her numbers were amazing and she even flew up to Washington last year twice to visit people. She recently found out that the cancer has spread to her liver and everyone says that’s really bad. I’m worried about her but I believe in prayer and her perseverance and belief has been amazing. She recently sent me this e-mail,
Greeting friends, relatives and prayer warriors,
I have seen the research doctor (Dr. John Nemunaitis)and the surgeon (Dr. Joseph Kuhn). Surgery is scheduled for Monday, August 17 at noon at Baylor Hosp, Dallas. The plan is to remove the 2 cancerous spots in the liver and the suspicious gland on the pancreas. They will also remove the gallbladder. They will be using a cutting instrument that uses microwaves to sear the edges as it cuts to reduce bleeding. The research doctor and his team will be present to receive the tissue sample in order to make a vaccine from it. The vaccine will then be given back to me in a series of injections when it has been approved by the FDA. Until then I will continue on Xeloda and Tykerb. I should only be in the hospital 2 or 3 days as this procedure is much less invasive than the original plan. This procedure cannot be done laparoscopic so a small incision will be made to keep from having to cut up the tissue sample.
There are some risks involved but I am trusting in the Lord and will not be disappointed. For those of you who ask me what to pray specifically….these are the issues.
1. I still believe in miracles and surgery is never my choice. My God is the Healer and my faith is that His healing power is greater then anything man has to offer!!
2. If surgery is the path for healing then I trust the Lord to make the way unhindered and the tissue sample uncontaminated so the vaccine will be made easily and quickly.
3. Doctors anticipate FDA approval soon but it could be delayed especially if Obama’s Health Plan is passed. Pray for FDA approval as soon as possible. Delay could also keep me from being able to receive the vaccine injections for months or longer.
4. Past success rate for the vaccine has been around 30% for patients who have been in the study. I am believing that I will be in that 30% that respond. Some patients have been cancer free now for 2 plus years (since study started).
For those of you who are interested in how the vaccine works…it has a 3 fold effect. First the vaccine stimulates the patients immune system. Second the vaccine turns off the mechanism in the cancer cell that causes it to replicate and become resistant to the immune system and chemotherapy. Thirdly the research doctor attaches 2 genes to the vaccine that will draw the immune system to the cancer cells. The patients own immune system is what destroys the cancer cells……which is the way God intended.
Dr. Nemunaitis and Dr Kuhn are rapidly putting together surgery teams and laboratory techs to teach others their surgical technique and vaccine development when FDA approval is given. At this time this is the most promising, cutting edge cancer research done in America. If interested, you can look up the names of these 2 doctors on the internet and find links to publications that these doctors have done to find out more. By the way, my Oncologist, Dr. Olivares has been working with Dr. Nemunaitis one day a week for a year now and that is how I got involved in the study……….coincidence?…….I don’t think so!!
Thank you in advance for your love, prayers and support. The battle has been long but IT IS TOO SOON TO GIVE UP!! My God is STILL bigger than cancer!!
Love, Lynn
Author and nonprofit founder Carolyn Rubenstein, age 24, witnessed this kind of bravery in her work with childhood cancer survivors (www.cccscholarships.org). In her new book, “Perseverance: True Voices of Cancer Survivors ” (Forge Books, August 2009), she shares the stories of 20 college-age cancer survivors who exemplify success in the face of adversity. It reminds us that, if these young people can face this disease head-on and emerge victorious, the daily obstacles the rest of us encounter suddenly don’t seem so insurmountable.
Rubenstein reveals valuable life lessons, such as: how to accentuate the positive, no matter how dire your situation might seem; why it’s crucial to educate yourself about what matters to you most; how to channel your sense of humor in helpful ways; strategies to stay in the best physical health possible; and the importance of asking others for help—no matter how much you might hate to do so.
Rubenstein is a featured blogger for The Huffington Post and Psychology Today, and is currently earning her Ph.D. in psychology from Harvard. “Perseverance” will be featured on NBC’s “The Today Show” on August 31st to kick off National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.
