kickTrak makes a great baby shower gift and stirs up a lot of conversation. kickTrak contacted me for a review and a giveaway and they sent me a sample. I decided to give it away as a baby shower gift and wow was I surprised at all of the questions and how the “older” women had no idea what “kick counting” was.
I have heard stories that kick counting saves lives of babies. For those of you that don’t know what kick counting is, once you can start feeling movement of you child in your tummy the doctor will recommend that you count how many movements you feel the baby make.
Now, how many you need to count actually seems to vary depending on doctor. My first child I was told to count 10 kicks every hour but I only needed to do it once a day. I was paranoid so I counted often if I could stay awake and concentrate long enough to get all the counts. in.
With my second child, there was no need to count because he was the alien within trying to get out teeth first. My second doctor told me that I needed to count ten within two hours. So see your medical professional for advice on how many counts and what they think of the kickTrak.
How does it work?
This device starts working the moment you know you are pregnant and can feel the baby move. You use it by pushing it against you every time you feel the baby move, fetal movement. This device also has a day count down to your due date. It also keeps track of the last ten sessions. The goal of kickTrak is to prevent stillbirth.

What a useful product! I learned that stillbirth may be avoided by counting your baby’s kicks and movements!

I found out it times contractions when labor begins. Nice.
It’s great that the kickTrak is designed to avoid the accidental recording of kick entries.
