Unrelated to this post but really cool information I just learned on my recent venture to California. Renee from Cutie Booty Cakes is on the MSN Homeroom panel of moms, well I don’t see her on the list of moms right now, but she did work on the project at some point. I know this because she spoke to me about the program. That’s my little tidbit I just learned but here is what I’m supposed to tell you about from Kellogg’s and MSN.

I do find that I have so many questions when it comes to what and how to do best by my two children. I’m sure that there are a lot of people out there that look at my blog and think that I must ignore my children but it’s not true. They come first in everything that I do. We are on a trip right now and making sure they are happy/comfortable without giving them everything they want has been key. I often look to other moms for ideas and questions.

Kellogg’s Frosted Mini-Wheats sponsored the development of the MSN Mom’s Homeroom site where Moms can connect online to find ideas and articles on topics such as reading, attentiveness, learning, and memory. Memory is key with Kellogg’s Mini-Wheats, you’ve seen the commercial right? I love the little wheatie. The site features four Moms from diverse backgrounds: a teacher, a psychiatrist, a former marketing coordinator, and an obstetrician/gynecologist. The Moms participate in online discussions and post unscripted videos of their views on helping kids succeed academically. The site includes great resources such as:

Scholastic and Encarta articles, tools, and activities

Tips on reading comprehension

Ways to work with your child’s sports coach

Articles on the meaning and importance of community service

Memory tricks to help kids in school

These moms are going to be the experts we can go to to learn find information we need for school advice and many other topics related to helping your children in school. There is an article there about how well can you spell. It’s actually a quiz. I can’t spell at all. I mean, I rely on my spell checker a great deal. Looking at the spelling quiz just made me realize just how bad I am.
