Simple Shoes Review & #Giveaway

Toddlers09Children’s shoes in my opinion should be bendable. You should be able to bend the shoe completely in half.

Children’s shoes should be colorful and fun.

Children’s shoes should be soft and durable.

Children’s shoes should be easy to clean.

Introducing Simple’s new Toddler Collection.

Simple’s new toddler collection is just right for my kids. I took the shoes and they bend so easily. They just double over. So check one.

Simple’s new toddler collection are so colorful and fun I wish they came in my size. I’m no afraid of color, I’m not afraid of it anywhere from head to tow. I love the Doodle’s and the Poodles. We were sent a pair of Poodles in purple which as you know if you read us all the time is my daughter’s favorite color. I think the next time I paint her room it’s going to be purple. It’s currently pink with Tinkerbelle all over.

These shoes are soft, extremely soft, we’re not entirely sure on the durability yet because we haven’t had them for very long but I know they must be comfortable because she always wants to put them on.

I haven’t had to wash them yet but they say they are washable. I’ve been told to put protestants on any shoe you purchase but I live in Seattle where it rains and I’m not sure I believe it. So you’ll have to find out yourself.

Here is the line:

Doodle
•Color: Purple Ash, Desert Rose, Black Olive & Charcoal, Olive & Classic Taupe
•MSRP: $38.00

Noodle
•Color: Coffee Liqueur, Classic Taupe
•MSRP: $40.00

Poodle
•Color: Purple Ash, Desert Rose
•MSRP: $36.00
Constructed Using:

All of their shoes are washable suede uppers from an eco-certified tannery and printed certified organic cotton heel collar. They have certified organic cotton fleece lining and natural rubber non marking outsoles.
They have Velcro closure and 100% post consumer paper pulp foot forms and I don’t know what that is. They ship in our state of the art/back to the future post consumer recycled box… Each size has a different animal on the box.

Simple makes shoes for women, men and children and they have the cutest infant shoes. I’ve seen them in stores like REI and you can purchase on-line at Simple. They have generously offered one pair of their toddler collection to one of my readers.

Kmart and Sears are going green #designsummit

I’m in Chicago and learning so much about Kmart, Sears, Country Living. Kmart has an exclusive with Country living. But that’s not what this video is about. This video is about their attempts at going green. They aren’t attempts they plan to be PVC free by 2010.

Summertime Pool Safety

When you have a pool with little ones you have to remember their safety. You need to make sure that your pool is not accessible at any time. You know, you can use gates or a pool cover. Some companies make Winter Pool Covers but you need to think of something that will keep your kids out of the pool unless you are with them. Many winter pool covers are for protecting your pool from the outdoor debris of winter time and from having family accidents. I had no idea and this is a little off topic but you can purchase pool covers and they can warm your pool with solar power.

If you are with them, you need to remember to keep your best judgment. I used to be a life guard and I think sometimes I’m guilty of being carefree when it comes to water safety. I feel like, I’ll get to them in time. They will be fine as long as I can jump in after them. Sometimes I have to slap myself in the face and remind myself that they are one and two and have no idea what they are getting into when it comes to the water.

I remember watching an episode of Oprah a long time ago about water/pool safety. Some people take quite a few steps to protect their children. They do fencing, and a pool cover, but also, they have an alarm system that goes off inside the house that alerts them that their child has entered the pool area. I guess you can’t be too careful when it comes to their safety.

Bear Naked New Granola Bars Review

    blank_carton_illustrations blank_carton_illustrations blank_carton_illustrations

Bear Naked: All Natural Granola, Oatmeal, Low Sugar Cereal and 100% Organic Hot CerealComing out in three flavors: fruit and nut, tropical fruit, and chocolate cherry, I had the opportunity to try some. MMM, I’m hungry so I’m going to go grab one to inspire this post. Bear Naked sent me some products to try out and I’ve been pleased. My only concern with these is calories but granola has calories they are just good for you calories. I’ve always been obsessed with my weight and it’s hard for me to know the difference between good calories and bad calories and good fat and bad fat. To me both words mean negative things but that’s not entirely true.

I don’t like cherries but the Chocolate cherry flavor is quite good. It doesn’t have too much of either chocolate or cherry, but really, can you every have too much chocolate?

It’s a little bit chewy and quite sticky but the taste is wonderful. I mean, I feel like I’m getting so many different flavors all at one time. MMM. I let my kids have the tropical fruit flavor and I tasted it and I remember enjoying that flavor as well. My kids were all yummm, mmmmmmm, and my son nmm, nmm, nmm. He’s one!

Playtex Party Post Gloves, Gloves and groceries #giveaway

    IMG_8128

Playtex recently gave me 200.00 dollars to spend at my favorite grocery store, Albertsons, to throw an outdoor party. They also sent some gloves to test out and I was so excited. This time of year is huge for parties and outdoor grilling and I hate getting my hands dirty. Playtex has gloves for cooking and cleaning.

Before I tell you all about the gloves, let me tell you that using gloves is important for me. My hands have lots of sensitivities and sometimes soap or touching a certain kind of package makes my hand break out into a rash and I itch like crazy. Somehow my skin absorbs whatever it is allergic to and I can’t wash it off, so using gloves is something I need to do more often so these Playtex disposable gloves that they sent me are going to be used for a great cause. So Thank You Playtex for sending me these products to try out.

    Suggested Glove Uses

    • GreatLengths™ Gloves

Play2 These gloves are ideal for the extra messy clean-up jobs like the grill

Whether you’re cleaning out the garage, tinkering in the workshop, or handling the litter box, you can keep your hands clean with Playtex® Disposables. Keep a supply handy wherever you tackle grimy or germ-y chores.

    • CleanCuisine™ Gloves

PlayUse them while preparing spicy recipes like salsa or try them out when preparing meat or fish for the grill so you are sure to keep clean and germ-free

This kept my hands from getting too dry. I am anal about washing my hands. I wash my hands about a 100 times when I’m working in the kitchen. One, I hate having dirty hands, two, I’m worried about passing bacteria from the food I touch while cooking to another surface. Washing your hands 100 times makes them dry.

Use them while chopping garlic or onions which often stings hands and/or leave a lingering odor

Features for the Disposable Playtex Gloves:

    • Lightweight with good fingertip feel and flexibility
    • Fit either hand
    • Easy to put on, pull off
    • Powder-free keeps your hands clean
    • Latex available In 10 count bags and 30-count dispenser box
    • Vinyl available in 10 count bags

Another nice thing about these gloves. I can’t ever get the smell of garlic out of my fingers and going to bed smelling like I’m warding off vampires is disgusting. And who says I want to ward any vampires away?

    • Living® Gloves

Play3A twist on the classic Playtex® Living® gloves, this new version is ideal for clean-up tasks like washing dishes and cleaning the kitchen

To help combat the daily dirty bathroom and sticky kitchen counter, Playtex Living Gloves with the new Drip-Catch Cuff protects hands, arms and clothes from water, soap and suds.

With superior protection, comfort and fit, Playtex® Living® Gloves help you get the job done.

    Features of the Living Gloves:

    • Two layers to provide excellent hot water protection for your hands.
    • A special blend of neoprene and latex to resist harsh household chemicals.
    • Ultra-Fresh® Antimicrobial Protection to keep your gloves mold
      and mildew resistant
    • Reinforced fingers and palms for added comfort and protection
    • Extra-long Drip-Catch™ cuffs to protect your arms
    • Tapered fingers provide that unique fit you get from Playtex
    • Available in Small, Medium and Large

Giveaway Offer (for 1 lucky winner)

    • 3 Glove samples
    • $50 gift certificate to grocery store of their choice to buy food/drinks for their own Patio Party

How To Become a Christian Review Blogger #giveaway

My best friend in the whole world wrote an e-book on how to become a Christian review blogger. She sent me a copy to review and a copy to giveaway. She is one of the strongest Christians that I know and puts God before everything else. Let me introduce you to her:

image You can find me at Faith Approved, a Christian product
review site, and Courtney Chowning, where I blog about
ways to put God first in your blogging and online
    endeavors.
I enjoy cooking, reading, movies, photography, scrapbooking, keeping up with
technology, and most of all spending time with my kids and family. I’m
excited about what God is doing in our lives. He blesses us daily and in
    extraordinary ways.
My favorite Bible verse is: “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet
not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live
by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.”
    Galatians 2:20 (KJV)

In her ebook she describes step by step what it takes to set up a blog and then how to become a product reviewer. Then she reminds you that you need to put God before everything else or you probably are not doing it for the right reason. She often reminds me of this when I visit her blog. I’m not always doing this and I know I need to. God takes such good care of my family and I’m so very grateful. I found her information to be spot on and let me tell you her information works.

My blog may not be a Christian Product review blog but I learned everything from her. Her networking skills helped me to reach out to others and become the review blog that you see before you.

Also included in her bundle is a listing site list for giveaways and she has some on there that I didn’t know about. See she’s always teaching me something new. If you need some blogging ideas she provides 31 different ideas to keep you from getting blogger’s block and a must have tech list to make your blogging even more seamless.

    To win a copy

Visit How To Become A Christian Review Blogger and tell me something else about Courtney.
