It’s CD giveaway day here on Mom Start. I’m so excited to bring you another artist and this time it’s a Christian Artist. I have been so blessed by God lately and I haven’t been giving him credit on my blog. Shame on me. I know that He is responsible for all of the success and opportunities that have been falling in my lap left and right. God, I can’t thank you enough!! You are amazing and have blessed me with two amazing children and an adoring husband who supports all I do.
I was very excited to put in Christy Nockels’ New CD Life Light Up. and it uplifted me the whole day. Her music is upbeat and exciting. I found myself singing to it before the day was over. I really like to get familiar with music and listen to it over and over again and this was easy to do so with. I can’t pick a favorite one either, I loved the whole CD.
About Christy Nockels
Christy Nockels was born in Ft. Worth, TX as a seminary baby. She grew up in Oklahoma as the daughter of a pastor and a piano teacher, which infused her heart early with a love for both music and God’s word. Christy has been married since 1993 and her husband went to Oklahoma Baptist University, just like I did. I knew her name sounded familiar. She was discovered in 1997 and began her career.

Oh, man. Kind of a long story. Okay…short version. Was friends in H.S. with his sister; never knew she had a brother till he showed up to get her one day; I was only 17 & she was trying to convince me to go out with him; at 18 after graduation went on church youth trip and he went along; guess we’ve pretty much been together ever since. Oh…and he was supposedly younger than he really was at the time! lol. We’re 13 years apart. Oh…and, yes, that was the short version! lol.

My wife and I met in junior high. We were classmates. Sometime our Freshman year, I asked her to go out with me and after 2 weeks of thinking about it, she said yes. about 5-6 years later, we got married. I love her with all my heart!

Oh this is gonna be a long one, so I’ll give the short of it. I was attending DivorceCare at my church. My friend Gayla whom I met in class decided that she needed to bring her cousin who was also a divorcee’. He came one time and called me two weeks later. That was in early November, our first date was the night after Thanksgiving, we were engaged the Saturday before SuperBowl Sunday and married that May!

My husband and I met at a friends house. I had just came out of drug rehab and she was the only friend of mine that did not use drugs or drink. He was there and we became friends. We were married 1 1/2 years later. Now completing our 15 years of marriage in October and still in recovery.
When I was in rehab, my family prayed that someone would come my way. Their prayers were answered.
