Walgreens Take Care Clinic #giveaway

June 21, 2009 · Filed Under giveaway

Walgreens is a great store to find bargains, pick up prescriptions and use coupons. I recently saved 20.00 and spent 12.00. They are also working on helping families save by having clinics you can take your family to for health care. I wrote about it a month ago here.

j0430503Take Care Clinics are offering half-priced camp physicals ($30) for a limited time and free tips for staying healthy so that summer ailments and injuries can be prevented – these exams help to determine if a patient is able to safely participate in typical camp activities and include a complete review of the child’s health history and immunizations to ensure that they are up to date.

In Honor of their program they are sponsoring a giveaway.

I think this is great – it is such a pain to go to the Dr. or the urgent care when you know it is an ear infection or something like that.

No clinics in my area yet!

wow! I was laid off seven months ago and am paying for COBRA coverage. I think this is a wonderful idea for those who are either ineligible for COBRA or cannot afford it.

    Thanks for the giveaway!

A great idea especially if you don’t have insurance. I would go for because one I don’t have a doctor and two the cost is lower than going to a regular doctor. I will certainly bear this in mind if I get sick.

  83. Elsie on June 23rd, 2009 4:32 am

I think these Take Care Clinics sound wonderful! Expectually since I’m uninsured its always nice to know there are cheaper options, unfortantly there not in my area yet, but I hope they decide to! Thanks for the chance.

This is a great idea. Walgreen’s are all over my town, so even if they have only a few of these clinics, one should be conveniently close by. I love their clinics. In my previous location we had temporary health insurance when my husband was laid off. The insurance was ridiculous, and when we got sick we went to the Walgreens Take Care clinic. I didn’t know at first the level of care we would receive, but I was pleasantly surprised! They have a great staff there and it was very efficient – I had an upper respiratory infection, they prescribed antibiotics, I picked them up there at Walgreens, and was on my way home. Didn’t cost much either, I think around $50, less than what I would pay at a hospital or a doctor with crappy health insurance. It really was a godsend! Thanks for the giveaway!

It looks like they cover all the things a family practitioner does.

  317. Anthony L Lorig on July 10th, 2009 9:09 am

I like this feature. We live 45 minutes from everything, so it easier to check the site and rest easier than drive and find out you overreacted.

  318. susan on July 10th, 2009 9:33 am

I would love to check out a clinic.. the hours are great and the prices are good too!

Thanks for the giveaway… The Take Care Clinics at Walgreens are perfect for vacation travelers whose trips would otherwise be disrupted by minor illnesses left untreated until they had returned home i.e. earaches, URI infections, strep throat, etc.

I think that it is nice that it provides so much crucial information regarding health care benefits. Insurance is such a pain. It is great to have some place to go to gain knowledge on this. Thanks!

  345. Veronica Garrett on July 10th, 2009 7:44 pm

I think it is great. There is so much iformation for parents that answer a lot of questions parents have.

  346. Helen on July 10th, 2009 7:53 pm

The Take care clinics sound like they are very useful for busy families. They treat many things such as skin conditions and minor injuries such as minor burns and sprains and strains.
They also will give vaccines and do TB tests which would be great for job requirements.
