Walgreens Take Care Clinic #giveaway
June 21, 2009 · Filed Under giveawayWalgreens is a great store to find bargains, pick up prescriptions and use coupons. I recently saved 20.00 and spent 12.00. They are also working on helping families save by having clinics you can take your family to for health care. I wrote about it a month ago here.
Take Care Clinics are offering half-priced camp physicals ($30) for a limited time and free tips for staying healthy so that summer ailments and injuries can be prevented – these exams help to determine if a patient is able to safely participate in typical camp activities and include a complete review of the child’s health history and immunizations to ensure that they are up to date. In Honor of their program they are sponsoring a giveaway.

I think this is great – it is such a pain to go to the Dr. or the urgent care when you know it is an ear infection or something like that.
No clinics in my area yet!
wow! I was laid off seven months ago and am paying for COBRA coverage. I think this is a wonderful idea for those who are either ineligible for COBRA or cannot afford it.
Thanks for the giveaway!
I think it is a great thing!!

WALGREENS has been there for many that need help and cant afford it wish more would do that ty WALGREENS
LOVE TO WIN THANKS AND GOD BLESS
Great need for this, I only wish it would include people who work part-time and receive no health care, many people cannot get full time jobs or benefits now
I THINK IT IS GREAT FOR THOSE LITTLE THINGS THAT ARE NOT SERIOUS
It’s nice that they’re helping families with no health insurance by giving them free visits. It’s nice to have a place you can go when you don’t want to have to wait days to get a regular doctor’s appointment.
I subscribe to your feed via Google.
Not one in my area but it sounds like a great idea that a lot of people copuld use right now in our economy!
What a great idea. One less thing for laid off/uninsured families to worry about!
none in my area yet- but fingers crossed
nice to help needy families
In this economy I think this is wonderful and will help many
I think it’s got the most user-friendly search engine for the Take Care Clinics, and I also like the feature that I can View accepted insurance providers.

Wallgreens is one of my favorite store and I think this is a great idea, anything that can help the ones that really need it , is great.
Good for Wallgreens !
Thanks for the contest too
There is one near me and It is such a relief just to stop in and get a fast checkup and pick up any medicine I need.
good for walgreens, healthcare is completely out of control
I found out that the closest take care clinic is in Memphis. Thanks!

I think this is a great idea, especially in this economy. It sure beats people using the emergency rooms for a doctor’s office.
Thank you for the link. This is great, it’s nice to have a place to go for issues like ear infections.
A much needed resource at a time when our ERs are overflowing with Non ER cases!
Nice way to get info
I love Walgreens. You can get shampoo, hand cream, allergy medication and food all in one place.
Great idea
Definitely a great idea. We need this especially for the little things that we just aren’t sure if we should go to the ER or not.

i need to “take care”
This is a great program. What costs there are seem relatively low.
A great idea especially if you don’t have insurance. I would go for because one I don’t have a doctor and two the cost is lower than going to a regular doctor. I will certainly bear this in mind if I get sick.
This is excellent because it’s a first step in the right direction for illness or minor injuries…some people feel thay can’t afford to pay a doctor and ignore their health problems.
Great idea!
great idea for those who need care and wouldn’t otherwise be able to afford it.

Sounds great. My family doesn’t have insurance and this would help! Atleast there is a company out there like Walgreens that is trying to help. I haven’t found any others who even seem to care.
I have used this type of clinic in the past. I had a sinus infection and couldn’t get to my regular doctor. Got a prescription and was happy. Glad to see Walgreen’s is now offering clinics.

I did a search to see if there was one near me, and there isn’t, but I think that it is a great idea. Sometimes you need health information quickly, but maybe it is the weekend and your family doctor has the day off. This could be a great back-up to have.

These walk in type clinics work out so well.
I love that Walgreens is doing this. Tey’re going far, far beyond what can reasonably be expected of a healthcare provider. This is a fantastic thing for them to do, and if I were in a position to need it, I’d be extremely grateful! You never know if your family might be the next to lose a job.

You know, with the economy really taking a dive, and families who were once very secure now fearing for the loss of their jobs, I think it is stellar of Walgreens to be involved in such a project. I loved the website.
This looks so convenient! Much easier than trying to get my son into Urgent Care at his pediatrician, where we inevitably have to wait for at least an hour.
I think this is great-My son gets ear infections alot and our doctor is 45 minutes away and not open on weekends. It would be great to be able to run over to walmart to get it taken care of.

I have always shopped at Walgreens and when I first read about their new program I was so proud to be a Walgreens shopper. Health Care should be available to everyone!
This is a great idea. Walgreen’s are all over my town, so even if they have only a few of these clinics, one should be conveniently close by. It makes much more snese than paying a premium when something isn’t serious or deadly, but nevertheless needs a prescription or the care of a professional.

i think its a good idea in this economy. i get blue cross but its so expensive.
I love their clinics. In my previous location we had temporary health insurance when my husband was laid off. The insurance was ridiculous, and when we got sick we went to the Walgreens Take Care clinic. I didn’t know at first the level of care we would receive, but I was pleasantly surprised! They have a great staff there and it was very efficient – I had an upper respiratory infection, they prescribed antibiotics, I picked them up there at Walgreens, and was on my way home. Didn’t cost much either, I think around $50, less than what I would pay at a hospital or a doctor with crappy health insurance. It really was a godsend! Thanks for the giveaway!
I think it’s wonderful to give customers easier access to doctors for the common things that ail us all!
WALGREEN’S HAS 3 STORES IN MY SMALL TOWN
They do not have them in Minneapolis but if they did I would probably use it as I use Walgreens for my prescription needs
We have already used their clinics for evening/weekend issues. The quick in/out appointments are awesome!
That’s great that you don’t need an appointment and there’s no long waits.
I think it would be great, especially for the physicals! I can’t tell you how many times I’ve forgotten to get a physical done and then have to plead and beg to get one done at the last minute. This would be great! Thanks.
I think it’s a good idea. Love that the hours are more condusive for everyone!

I think these clinics are an awesome idea. I would think it would be so much easier to visit the clinic than to try and get an appt through my HMO. Unfortunately, they don’t seem to have any in my neck of the woods yet.
I think this is a wonderful idea! It would be much easier for minor things than to make an appointment at a doctor for a physical, or respiratory infection or a minor illness.
We have one near us and we love it! Very convenient

I love how walgreens is taking a stand and helping. I think its cool they are also helping with skin conditions
I think it’s a great idea. Much better and more economical than sitting and waiting an emergency room.
I already follow you on Twitter.

Great idea!
Great idea
the clinics are great resources in these times when most are not insured or are underinsured
It looks like they cover all the things a family practitioner does.
I like this feature. We live 45 minutes from everything, so it easier to check the site and rest easier than drive and find out you overreacted.
I would love to check out a clinic.. the hours are great and the prices are good too!
I think the site is very informative, helpful, and colorful.
It works great for my schedule. I like it!
Thanks

Thanks for the giveaway… The Take Care Clinics at Walgreens are perfect for vacation travelers whose trips would otherwise be disrupted by minor illnesses left untreated until they had returned home i.e. earaches, URI infections, strep throat, etc.

I think that it is nice that it provides so much crucial information regarding health care benefits. Insurance is such a pain. It is great to have some place to go to gain knowledge on this. Thanks!
I think it is great. There is so much iformation for parents that answer a lot of questions parents have.
Sounds like a great concept but there are no clinics in my area.

I think it’s great that they offer back to school and sports physicals for a very reasonable price.

The Take care clinics sound like they are very useful for busy families. They treat many things such as skin conditions and minor injuries such as minor burns and sprains and strains.
They also will give vaccines and do TB tests which would be great for job requirements.

Love the $30 Sports & Back to School physicals!
As an educator, I know the $30 Sports & Back to School physicals would help lots of students/parents. I just wish they had a clinic in OK.
