Street Surfing’s Wave LX skateboard #giveaway

June 28, 2009 · Filed Under giveaway

Street Surfing contacted me and asked me to do a review or giveaway of their new board the Wave LX. I don’t know anything about skate boards but I do know that it’s really big here in the state of WA. We have tons of skateboard parks so I said yes go ahead and send me a board. Sometimes I wonder what I’m thinking and I think this company feels the same way about me. But all that aside, they sent me a board so that I could look at it. We haven’t used it outside or anything (this is the board that you are getting and we took it out of the box.). I ripped the box trying to get it out. I find the design to be quite unique. There are only two wheels instead of four and the part you stand on swivels just a tiny bit. It seems like it’s an excellent board for doing tricks on. The closest I’ve come to skateboarding is on the Xbox 360.

The Wave LX Board GrayThis new board is made out of the same high quality Wave materials, but its web reinforced design allow for the overall lighter weight. The board utilizes the patented caster board duel deck plate and anodized torsion bar design. The board will be introduced in an assortment of colors and graphics for all riders.

Wider platform for better stability
New light Xtreme design
Enhanced performance
Easier carving
Abec 5 bearings

IMG_0371There are grippers on the board that tickle my feet but I don’t know anyone that skates without shoes. As you can see I let my children touch it and sit on it. It’s not for children. ;-)

The new Wave LX (suggested retail price $79.99) is available at major sporting goods stores and other leading retailers. It is currently available for free shipping.

About Street Surfing:

"We’re all about providing kid-powered products that fuel the fun and are not be limited to your socioeconomic status," stated James Nunziati, vice president of sales and marketing, Street Surfing. "With today’s economy we felt the Wave product line needed to appeal to different market segments. I like their board because of the flexiblity in movement when riding. I have seen people riding this at the park. I think they’re the newest “in” thing. I have a young son and he is very interested in riding around in different methods (bikes, boards, scooters, heelys). I don’t think everyone realizes how great these methods are for a child’s gross motor movement!

don’t skateboards have 4 wheels, and trucks? aren’t they made out of some type of wood such as maple? or bamboo?

  15. Annette Anderson on June 28th, 2009 10:35 pm

I like these boards and the ones that are for younger children have a extra gripping which is a plus! I also like it that they are wider than most other boards, which makes them seem safer! Thanks, A.Anderson

At Street Surfing, my daughter would like the Wave Stealth. It’s more flexible than your usual skateboard, which is great on city sidewalks.

  187. Olivia on July 13th, 2009 1:13 pm

I love the Wave because it is easy to use and makes everyone jealous when I just get on and go. It’s great for balancing and fun tricks that I can’t do on a normal skateboard.

I don’t know a lot about these boards myself but my son is 12 and is flipping to have one. He went to the skate park on a school trip last month and came home begging for a Wave board. I had no idea what he was talking about until now. He said they are the fastest and you can do awesome tricks and moves because of the wider board size. I just checked them out and they are cool. No wonder he wants one so bad. I like that it allows for more stability so maybe he won’t end up with so many scraps and bruises lol Thanks for Sharing this review and giveaway I now know what the rave about the wave is all about~!
