I went to the grocery store already today and I saved 50 percent. I had a headache so I forgot a key ingredient so I’ll be going to a different grocery store tomorrow anyway to take advantage of a great sale and my coupons.

Stonyfield organic yogurt for the whole family

I have been eating or serving Stonyfield Farm Organic Yogurt for over three years now. While I was pregnant I wanted chocolate in everything I ate. So my husband found the Stonyfield Chocolate yogurt. Oh man it was so good. It was like chocolate syrup in yogurt and just the right amount too. I wanted to lick the yogurt cup.

YoBabyYogurtThen when I had kids I served up yobaby to my daughter. It was before Yoplait had their version and it seemed like the healthiest option for her. Well, it didn’t seem like it it was and is in my opinion. Now, because we are on a budget we are using whatever I can get the cheapest for my children but I still really like how healthy and natural yobaby is. The DHA

They have changed their packaging and here’s why:

  • Real fruits – Real photos to match the real ingredients that are inside – nothing fake here!
  • New babies – We think that Aquila and Maya capture the spirit of all of our YoBabies out there.
  • New environmentally-friendly material – We changed the top of our packaging to prevent almost 17,000 lbs of packaging a year from going to landfills.  This change makes sense for your baby and generations to come.

We understand this look is a big change.  Click here to see the complete lineup and tips to find your favorite flavor.

Along with the new packaging they have more varieties than I remember. I haven’t seen them at our local grocer but I’ll have to check again. My local Albertsons is kind of small and they only carry what they have to.

  • YoBaby Simply Plain
  • YoBaby Original Yogurt
  • YoBaby Plus Fruit & Cereal
  • YoBaby Drinkable Yogurt

They sent me some coupons to try them for free but the only variety I found was the yobaby that we’ve already had. Which is still delicious.

Earth Mama Angel Baby organic gift set #giveaway

My Experience with Earth Mama Angel Baby

I received an assortment of products from Mama Angel Baby organics and tried a few of them out. The other products I gave to a friend that is very pregnant and has been more stressed out than me. I think it provided her a little relief. Having a child to take care of while being pregnant is very exhausting and trying.

The Peaceful Mama Tea is very soothing and the aroma is calming so together it lightened my stress and helped me relax before bedtime.

Happy Mama Spray - for pregnancy and nauseaHappy Mama Spray is made with a safe, proprietary blend that includes lime and ginger pure essential oils. (>Read what the American Botanical Council has to say about the safety and effectiveness of ginger and pregnancy nausea).

I gave the spray to my friend but I sprayed it on my wrist before I gave it to her and I enjoyed the smell. I knew my husband wouldn’t want to smell it all the time so I wanted to give it to someone that could benefit from it more than I could. I found my senses loosen (if that makes sense) with every inhale of my wrist. It was nice.

I haven’t tried the other products yet but knowing they are all natural is a blessing.

Most women are truly shocked at the toxin scores of the pregnancy or baby products they thought were safe. All Earth Mama Angel Baby products are rated a 0 (lowest possible rating). Also, all Earth Mama Angel Baby products are toxin-free and contain no artificial ingredients. Just pure, natural products for pure, natural mamas and babies! As Gold Members, and one of the earliest compact signers, Earth Mama Angel Baby® is fully compliant with all levels of the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics. We are one of only 6% of compact signers who can make that claim. At Earth Mama Angel Baby, we are just as serious about taking care of the Earth and her resources as we are about taking care of mamas and babies. That even extends to our packaging and office practices – learn more by reading our sustainability statement.
For helpful advice and safe, natural products that work, women can trust Earth Mama Angel Baby. After all, if Mama wouldn’t use it for her own family, then she doesn’t sell it. Mama’s Promise™.

For more information and some great research on toxins in personal care products, see the No More Toxic Tub in the Earth Mama Angel Baby April Newsletter. It links to a lot of great information, including our Reading Room, which is a terrific resource when you’re starting to think toxin-free.

Gerber Smart Sips Review

Gerber sent us some Gerber Graduate Smart Sips to try out. I put them on the counter where all of the snacks are and every day until I let her try them she has said, I want the purple snack mommy. Please mommy want the purple snack.

I split it three ways, some for me so I could taste it and some for my son and some for my daughter. I watered it down like I do everything else for the kids and my daughter enjoyed it but didn’t gobble it up. When I gave it to her plain she said MMMMMM. My son, who is younger and doesn’t know better thought the watered down stuff was fine. I didn’t even try the watered down stuff. ;-)

I cheated I know. I liked it, especially because it wasn’t sweet. There is no sugar added and it tastes great without the sugar. There is a slight vanilla taste to it and I love vanilla.

gerber Research shows that many toddlers don’t get enough iron, calcium, or vitamins D & E. In fact, 100% of toddlers have vitamins E intakes below the recommended level. Also, many toddlers eat too much saturated fat and not enough essential omega-3 fats*.

So Smart Sips is packed with 15 essential vitamins and minerals. So if you’re like me and need a way to get all those extra nutrients in your children with few calories then you might try Smart Sips.

Johnson & Johnsons Sponsored a party for me

Getting a donation can seem like pulling teeth sometimes. I know because that’s what I do. I love to procure donations from companies to give to others who are in need. That’s why I work for Bloggers Give and try to support one of my local moms club in any way I can.

Johnson & Johnsons was looking for bloggers to throw a Cause Party. A Cause party is when you throw a party in order to raise money for a charity. When I saw this I had to do it. I had to take the opportunity to help a local charity so I took the idea to my friends and asked if they wanted to get involved. A moms club of mine decided to give the money to a program called Special Delivery .

Special Delivery is for moms that don’t have support and for moms that don’t know if they are going to keep the baby. They take clothing, strollers, car seats, bed room supplies and a few toys.

IMG_0647We were given 200 dollars to spend on food so we went to Costco to get the trimmings and wow 200 goes a lot faster than I ever thought it would. We’re very grateful and as soon as I get time to get the video edited and an internet connection at my house I’m going to upload video and pictures from the party and tell you all about the fun we had. These are just the desserts. I forgot to take a picture of the other food.

Street Surfing’s Wave LX skateboard #giveaway

Street Surfing contacted me and asked me to do a review or giveaway of their new board the Wave LX. I don’t know anything about skate boards but I do know that it’s really big here in the state of WA. We have tons of skateboard parks so I said yes go ahead and send me a board. Sometimes I wonder what I’m thinking and I think this company feels the same way about me. But all that aside, they sent me a board so that I could look at it. We haven’t used it outside or anything (this is the board that you are getting and we took it out of the box.). I ripped the box trying to get it out. I find the design to be quite unique. There are only two wheels instead of four and the part you stand on swivels just a tiny bit. It seems like it’s an excellent board for doing tricks on. The closest I’ve come to skateboarding is on the Xbox 360.

The Wave LX Board GrayThis new board is made out of the same high quality Wave materials, but its web reinforced design allow for the overall lighter weight. The board utilizes the patented caster board duel deck plate and anodized torsion bar design. The board will be introduced in an assortment of colors and graphics for all riders.

Wider platform for better stability
New light Xtreme design
Enhanced performance
Easier carving
Abec 5 bearings

IMG_0371There are grippers on the board that tickle my feet but I don’t know anyone that skates without shoes. As you can see I let my children touch it and sit on it. It’s not for children. ;-)

The new Wave LX (suggested retail price $79.99) is available at major sporting goods stores and other leading retailers. It is currently available for free shipping.

About Street Surfing:

"We’re all about providing kid-powered products that fuel the fun and are not be limited to your socioeconomic status," stated James Nunziati, vice president of sales and marketing, Street Surfing. "With today’s economy we felt the Wave product line needed to appeal to different market segments. The groundswell of interest in our products coupled with our eagerness to grow our loyal consumer base, resulted in the design of the Wave LX. Now everyone can get in on the fun!"

Piggy Paint Natural Nail Polish #Giveaway

PIGGY PAINT LOGOMeet Piggy Paint the natural odorless kid-friendly nail polish. Coming from a stay-at-home mom named Melanie Hurley. Melanie was worried about the chemicals from nail polish being digested and inhaled by her two daughters that love having their nails polished. After watching nail polish that was solvent-based polishes began to bubble and eventually leave big holes in a foam plate she went on a quest.

My quest was on, and Piggy Paint was born. As you may have guessed, our polish is NOT flammable and sits beautifully on the unaffected foam. We hope you enjoy this water-based polish that is specially formulated of natural ingredients. Finally, a kid-friendly polish without the accompanying drawbacks of traditional polishes. It is free of formaldehyde, toluene, phthalates, biphenyl A, ethyl acetate and acetone… and made in the USA!

From my heart to yours, I hope Piggy Painttakes the worry out of painting your little one’s nails and puts the fun back into this enjoyable activity you can share with your daughter and other precious girls in your life.

IMG_0610 IMG_0621 I figured it would be years before I could paint nails with my daughter. I threw all of my polish away because I don’t have time to treat myself to something like that. If she saw me doing it she would want me to do it to. She still puts her fingers and toes in her mouth all the time so I like Melanie didn’t want her to be anywhere near nail polish.

I found Piggy Paint on other blogs and asked if I could do a review of it. They said yes and here we are, with blue nails all around and my daughter asking when can we do it again. It was a special treat for her because the day before she had a really big boo boo. Painting her nails with mommy made her feel special and helped her to not think about the pain she was in. It was nice for me because we got to do it together.

Tea Party for TwoI didn’t even notice that it didn’t smell. It’s a good thing. I think I was halfway done and I thought, wow, it really isn’t smelly. This was the color we received. At first I wasn’t all that excited about it. It’s Tea Party for two. The bottle makes it look like it’s really a dark color for a 2 year old, but once it was on our nails it looked shiny and lighter. I think we’d be happier with Girl’s rule but I can always purchase it later.

Ollie’s Slumber Party DVD #giveaway

Nickelodeon Studios released Wonder Pets!: Ollie’s Slumber Party on June 9th. We were sent a copy to review and I was pleasantly surprised by it. I had no idea what to expect because we don’t watch very much Nick Jr. We don’t really watch much TV at all, just DVD’s.

.

About the Show Wonder Pets:

Wonder Pets comes on Nick Jr and Noggin. Wonder Pets! is a funny and innovative Nick Jr. show for preschoolers. Each episode follows the adventures of three classroom pets–Linny the Guinea Pig, Ming-Ming Duckling, and Turtle Tuck–who travel around the globe helping to rescue animals who need their help. It is made from puppetry animation designed for this show. Illustrators manipulate photos and the outcome is quite unique. I found it to be kinda odd but with the constant music and wonderful story lines I was enjoying it right along with my children. Each episode had a lesson that is very important for children to learn, the wonder pets use teamwork, empathy and problem solving to help other animals who need help.
