Kailani says “In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that they take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response”. You should go to Kailani’s site and link up with Mr. Linky, but don’t be rude, be sure and answer her question.
My Question:
What is your favorite Michael Jackson song
I have been going back in forth in my head about writing about Michael Jackson and his death. I mean I’m not exactly fond of the guy but he had some great songs over the years. All of the accusations in his life really clouded his music and if he’s guilty or not of what people say he has done; he continued to put himself in ridiculous situations. It’s difficult to grow up in the spot light of the public. I can’t judge but I can say that as a child born in the 80’s I loved his music once upon a time.
Yes Thriller was a good one, Beat it, Billie Jean, but I think my favorite one was Black or White.
The MTV Video Vanguard Artist of the Decade Award was given to Jackson to celebrate his accomplishments in the art form in the 1980s; the following year the award was renamed in his honor.[73] "Black or White" was accompanied by a controversial music video, which, on November 14, 1991, simultaneously premiered in 27 countries with an estimated audience of 500 million people, the largest viewing ever for a music video.[72] It featured scenes construed as having a sexual nature as well as depictions of violence. The offending scenes in the final half of the 14-minute version were edited out to prevent the video from being banned, and Jackson apologized.[176] Along with Jackson, it featured Macaulay Culkin, Peggy Lipton and George Wendt. It helped usher in morphing as an important technology in music videos.[177]

The Life and Death of Michael Jackson
Mom, I know you don’t read my blog but this post is for you. I know you loved loved loved Michael Jackson. I’m sorry i didn’t answer my phone to console you last night but I was extremely tired and stressed out.

I will answer my husband’s answers since I don’t have one myself: thriller and beat-it
Mine is a tie between Man in the Mirror and Smooth Criminal.
I’d have to Say THRILLER is my favorite I still can picture that video in my head. LOL
I am going to have to go with a Jackson 5 song: I’ll be There.
Oh that is a hard one!
Human Nature
Workin’ Day and Night
Man in The Mirror
Dancin’ Machine
That’s a tough one because I really love all his music.
I’m afraid I don’t really have one. I don’t listen to pop music much at all . . . actually, I don’t listen to any music much at all.
Dirty Diana is my most favorite. I also like Man in the Mirror and PYT.
My Aloha Friday
He had so many really wonderful songs. Still there is a special place in my heart for We Are the World that he co-wrote with Lionel Richie.
A tough question indeed! I grew up listening to the Jackson 5 AND the Osmond Brothers!! My fave MJ song is Thriller!
I was a kid when thriller was popular. It used to scare me to death! As an adult, I like that song best.
I am not sure I can pick just one. I always did like the song he did for Free Willy, but I also like Billy Jean and Thriller
Mine is Billie Jean, but I must admit, I never appreciated it until David Cook sang it on American Idol last season. Now I love the MJ version, too.
Anything from the Thriller album. I loved MJ back then.
Man in the Mirror, That girl is mine. Those are the two that come to mind.
I really love all of his songs. I grew up with Michael Jackson. He is only a year older than me. He will be missed.
I love Heal the World just love it
Man In The Mirror
Beat it was my favorite.
I always loved Man in the Mirror.
I was never really a fan of his music, so I don’t have a favorite. He was an incredibly talented musician and dancer though…it is so sad.
It would have to be “Bad”.
Btw, love the new look!
ONE FAVORITE? I don’t know if I can pick one!
Cool post, just subscribed.
