Tucks are a post pregnancy necessity

Having children causes Hemorrhoids and women are embarrassed to talk about it. I was. Ok, so not having them but giving birth, the actual event of pushing the baby out gave me hemorrhoids both times. With my first pregnancy the Hemorrhoids were more painful than the delivery. Hemorrhoids hurt.

At the hospital they gave me some medicated pads by Tucks and they made me feel much better. I could sit and not be in complete pain. So my husband was sure to get the exact same thing for me when we got home from the hospital and I was using them so often that I needed more. Oh these saved my bum twice. I had to use them again with my second child. Things were different so this labor was more painful than my hemorrhoids were but I still had them and Tucks made me feel so much better.

Well, they recently sent me another sample through Mom Central that I don’t need to use because I’m not suffering from hemorrhoids right now. I have had them before and I think women shouldn’t be ashamed of having them with or without pushing a baby. This new sample is for on the go as all women are. Running a family has us coming and going in all directions so now they are in convenient towelettes.

Is it Really Monday? Marshalls Rescue Gift Card #giveaway

Today was one of those days where I can’t wait for it to be over. I’m so tired and my head is spinning from everything that needs to be done, minus the dishes because my husband came home and did them. There are toys everywhere and I feel like every time I clean them up one of my two children will just dump the bin. So today, I didn’t even try.

I think the last straw was the poop on the carpet. We had a bath, cleaned up the carpet, and I just want to pretend none of it happened and it’s only Monday. What a way to start out the week. At least my DH got home just in time for me because I was so tired I was going to put the kids down to bed after bath time regardless of what time it was.

marshalls_hologo08 I went to Marshalls today because they were sponsoring a Father’s Day Post that hasn’t been done yet. Can you tell that Father’s Day has come and gone and I’m behind. Well, there is so much to choose from there that I couldn’t decide to get with the 25.00 they gave me. I picked up socks and two outfits and this and that and my kids were screaming at me the whole time. I couldn’t concentrate on what to purchase. I really wanted to get myself a cute outfit. My husband had told me to get myself something. He was able to get all of his clothing and everything he needed for Father’s Day at a different store. I saw something that caught my eye but my daughter had a complete melt down at the exact same time so finding it in my size was impossible. I had to drag my daughter out of the store, actually I carried her out because I felt like we were making a scene as it was.

So what can I do to make it up to Marshalls? They were trying to rescue my Father’s Day gift and I was trying to treat myself. Marshalls I thank you for the 25.00 and to show my appreciation I’m going to give it away on my blog. You’ll get more advertising this way. (wink wink)

Word World Castles In the Sea

Word World where words come alive. I was first introduced to Word World when I was at another Moms house. her kids were watching it and it was after I had been working on letters with my daughter. She said ‘e’ and there was an e. I was so excited.

The other mom said she loves Word World because it brings back memories of when she used to make pictures out of words. The only one I ever did was boy or girl. She had a larger imagination than I did and so did the creators of this show.

I love watching Word World too. It comes on PBS and is put out on DVD’s by NCircle Entertainment.

NCircle was kind enough to send us a preview DVD of the newest installment to Word World. Castles in the See featuring Shark. I think Shark is my daughter’s favorite character on this DVD because when shark gets his feelings hurt about his in-ability to dance well on land she wants to know where shark went. I had to explain to her that they other characters hurt his feelings so he went to be by himself. Then they go and apologize and everyone feels better. Kids not only learn words, spelling, letters, they also find meaning in the episodes learning moral lessons.
