Movie Review Hotel For Dogs Giveaway

May 10, 2009 · Filed Under giveaway

I was offered the chance to review Hotel for Dogs with my children. WOW was I excited when we got the box. We received a huge box for a little DVD. Inside the box was a toy for our dog. It’s a cute squeaky toy. Also, you can get the box personalized for your dog. It’s a really cute idea.

We didn’t get our box personalized.

Hotel for Dogs is about Andi (Emma Roberts) and Bruce (Jake Austin) looking for a family. They are brother and sister who are foster kids living with Lois Scudder (Lisa Kudrow) and they are completely unhappy.

To be a little bit happier they have smuggled a dog into the apartment and Jake makes amazing inventions to help keep the dog hidden. Knowing that they are always getting into trouble they had to find a place for their pet to live. So they found the Hotel For Dogs. Of course it doesn’t end there. There are more ups and downs before they find a real family.

My daughter watched it three times in a row. We were having a rough day (she was sick with an ear infection).

Our dog is a Basset Hound and his name is Caleb. The last few years have been rough on him, a few surgeries for various things, a change in attitude, etc. He’s getting older but at least he still has his personality. He’s hilarious!

my dog is a pound poochie by the name of Princess Peach (from nintendo) and all 73 pounds of her sleep in the bed with us every night. I have never had a dog before and was in fact scared of dogs but this dog has my heart.

Both my girls would love this – they are the biggest animal lovers I’ve known – after their daddy! We have a Boston Terrier named Madelyn – we call her Maddie! She’s small for a Boston Terrier – which is perfect for our family – and she loves our girls’ Papaw very much. Her aunt is on a variety of TV commercials…

I don’t have a dog any more; he passed away last fall. His name was Chummy. He was a black lab/great dane mix and was perhaps the biggest lap dog ever. I’ll never forget the day I walked into the living room to see this 120 lb. dog sitting on my 85 yr. old grandfather’s lap. It was priceless!

  18. Kimberly on May 11th, 2009 10:16 am

Our dog is a lab/border collie mix. She is a great family dog and she has the big brown saucer eyes that can look sad when she wants to. She loves to play fetch.

She is so good with kids….our nieces and nephews have crawled all over her, pulled her ears, rode her back and she just loves it…the more attention she gets the happier she is.I hope we have her with us for a very long time ;o}

Thank you for the giveaway. I have 2 dogs but, I’ll tell you a little about Dexter, my yellow lab. He loves to catch rocks, play with plastic bottles and chase toys. Dexter enjoys swimming also, you can usually find him in a mud/water puddle outside on rainy days or he will play while the water hose is on. Dex is a very loving and playful lab, we’ve never had a dog act the way he does!

  23. sandy on May 11th, 2009 12:43 pm

love dogs and have a bunch all rescues- I know one day they will not be around and my heart breaks because I will lose a great friend when each one does but for now they are my love and laughter

I have a big yellow lab named Scooter that is a pure monster. He has a mind of his own and won’t listen to me at all. He went to “doggy bootcamp” but only listens to the trainer, not me. I really believe he was Marley in a future life.

I have a dog named Jake. He is from the pound-some say he is a Queensland Shepherd- I think he is a dingo. Very smart- very protective- very much a scrounger. He is 13 and he is feeling his age- but he still lays next to my side of the bed and follows me wherever I go and chases very animal that comes into the backyard whether he has the energy to or not. Thanks for the giveaway

I have a pit bull. When he was little he had the smallest body & the biggest head. Now he`s gigantic – 110lbs. He`s got the most sensitive paws, so he`s got to wear booties during the winter. The salt irritates his paws & they bleed! His head is still gigantic. So you have a huge dog, with a gigantic head walking around in blue booties. Funny sight.

Our wonderful “Rusky” (Roddy/Husky cross) is a handful for my husband and me, but he absolutely adores my three-year-old son. Though the dog is as tall as the child, and at least five times his weight, my son can push him around six ways from Sunday like a great big live teddy bear! As a result, my son loves all dogs, and I had to really stress that not all dogs are like Roddy!

I have a German Shepherd mix named Laddie. He loves walks in the woods with the kids. He refuses to go into the garage but we still don’t know why.

We have a big mix named Snickers,we are not sure
of what she has in her,but we think its collie
We got her at the pound,it was a rescue, her last
day there. She is sweet but a big scaredy cat.
When she was a puppy she chewed through two
telephone cords and ate up one couch.

I have two tiny adorable chihuahuas who love me to death. They always have to be in the room that I’m in…that sucks when nature calls. But they are so intelligent and they have the best hearing…they can tell when someone is outside before they even ring the doorbell. They actually make me feel safer when I’m alone despite their size. They only weigh about 8-10 lbs each. Dragon is the oldest and always has to be first for everything. Achilles is younger by 2 years and is the most patient and the most protective.

    We have two dogs here!

    Sammy & Tootsie.
    They are Shitzu’s.
Tootsie eats poop.which make me want to hurl.
She is smart & grabs things with her front paws….like her doggy bones.

Sammy is a stinky boy who has to be bathed almsot every day.
he pee’s on the pee pads & then lays down & sleeps on the pissy pad.
He never uses his front paws to grab anything & I have to break up his treats be cause he won’t chew them…he tries to just sollow things whole & chokes.
