You Can Make This, patterns, crochet, free stuff and a Giveaway

Look what people are making

http://www.youcanmakethis.com/ was created by a mom who wanted to provide downloadable instructions on how to make just about anything from children’s boutique clothing and jewelry, to handbags, home decor and more. What makes the site unique is that these instructions are written by everyday moms who have an expertise in an area. They are written in a way that makes you feel you have a friend sitting right next to you, telling you what to do next. They all have detailed instructions and step-by-step full-color photos so even the most “craft-challenged” person can make these items for their homes and families.

In fact, if you’d like to try out some products for free, you can sign up for their FREE newsletter. After sign-up, you’ll receive a link to your email inbox asking you to confirm subscription. Simply click on that link, and you’ll receive all of these product instructions pictured here, plus an online video and digital scrapbooking frames. http://www.youcanmakethis.com/ycmt-newsletter.htm

You can also get this free crochet design it is a pattern for a skull cap. Not sure what that means, maybe the moms in my MOMS Club know what that means.

First Five – Needs two more

Shamelessly piggybacking Holly who shamelessly piggybacked on Rachel here…

This is open to anyone who reads my blog!

The first FIVE people to respond to this post will get something made by yours truly!!
I get to chose what it is, and make it just for YOU!!

However, this offer does have some restrictions and limitations.

1- I make no guarantees that you will like what I make! (although I’m hoping you do!)
2- What I create will be just for you.
3- It will be done this year. (before December 31, 2009!)
4- You have no clue what it’s going to be. I enjoy knitting, baking, whatever!

There is one little catch. You must re-post this on YOUR blog, facebook, or whatever you use to contact the masses and make the same offer to the first 5 people who respond on your blog entry, thereby continuing the fun! (Keep it local if you would like, however you want to do it is fine.)

The first 5 people to leave a comment telling me they will be posting this on their blog will win a special something made by me!

Be sure to post a picture of your handmade prize when you get it!

Should be a fun and interesting little experiment and I am hoping that God will use it as a blessing too. :)

My New favorite Children’s CD – Giveaway

I have a new favorite Children’s CD. In The Nick of Time is fun to listen to and I do not get annoyed like I do when we listen to one of the other’s which for now I will be kind enough not to mention.
In The Nick of Time has 13 songs that we like to sing and dance to. It was so much fun and my kids enjoyed it. Miles does this bouncy thing when he likes something. He’s been bouncing since he was inside me, now he’s dancing to the Coconut Groove. The first time we listened to it my daughter was building with her legos. The Hang with me song came on and she started getting her little groove on while still building her structure. I have such talented kids.

As long as he can remember, Nick Deysher has been making music. After
earning a BA in Jazz Composition at Bates, the Massachusett’s native began
sharing his love of music with children as a preschool teacher. The children in
his class enjoyed his music so much, parents began asking Deysher for a CD. In
2001, Nick released his first children’s album, One Man Band. His blend of
musical styles and genres became an instant hit.

Not only is he a high energy entertainer he is generous as well. He has donated his CD to Bloggers Give. I asked him, and he said consider it done. I’m very proud to share his music with you.

Clean Green Cleaner Giveaway by SeaYu

SeaYu contacted me about reviewing their new cleaning products Clean Green. Now, my husband sort of banned me from accepting anymore cleaning products, but I said yes to them before THE INCIDENT happened. So, I had to try it out when it showed up on my door because I agreed to.
About SeaYu:

At SeaYu, we love animals — and we care about the world we
live in. But we know firsthand that every pet lover needs a quick, powerful and
convenient solution to pet cleaning problems. That’s why we’ve carefully
developed the safest, most effective, pet cleanup system you’ll find anywhere.
Completely free of harsh chemicals — and personally tested in our own home. All
natural. Fur friendly. Kid safe. And able to stand up to any pet cleanup
challenge — even skunk.
We’re committed to making sure all of our products
are non-toxic, non-carcinogenic and eco-friendly. Easy on the environment and
easy to use. Our unique, patented Advanced Eliminator Formula doesn’t just cover
up the smell. It permanently eliminates odors, deep cleans and removes stains –
everything you’d expect from the only eco-friendly aerosol pet cleaning products
on the planet.
So, breathe again. The world is a safer place. And life just
got easier!

Going to the website can be a little confusing in my opinion, but now that I have tried the product, let me explain it to you because now it makes sense.
They make SAFE cleaning products, they are safe to be around pets and children. YEAH!! So you can select by animal and cleaning surface. I chose dog, for carpet. My dog doesn’t have accidents, or didn’t during my trial period, but I do have children and there are older stains on the carpet that I haven’t gotten out yet.
I gave it a try, you have to clean up debris, you know, chunks and what not before you apply this stuff. If it got rid of chunks the stuff would have to be toxic. So it’s great for pee and older stains, or anything after you pick up the mess. Then shake the can and spray it on the spot. THAT’S IT. And it works. I couldn’t believe it. The spots are gone and it didn’t smell bad. I know I say I love things a lot, but I really really love this stuff.
We use a Spot Bot made by bissell and the chemicals smell, I have tried spot shot and everyone in my family gets head aches. I sprayed, no smell, and the stain is gone. You can’t believe this. It’s like a miracle cleaner. I can’t believe it’s safe, and that it got rid of the stain without changing the color of my carpet. And it’s safe for my kids. I know I already said that, but my kids can crawl on the spot and I don’t have to worry about them breathing in the nasty chemicals. I’m so happy and I get to share it with you. Even better.
Win a Can of Cleaner, your choice

Go visit SeaYu and tell me which cleaner you would like to try.

Annie’s Costumes – March Giveaway

Well, Annie’s Costumes has agreed to do a giveaway almost every month. YEAH!!!!!!
Lets all say thank you!

THANK YOU!!

Mardi Gras just happened right? Still going on? I’m really not very sure about Mardi Gras and all the details.
That is the beauty of the Internet right?
While not observed nationally throughout the United States, a number of cities
and regions in the country have notable celebrations. Mardi Gras arrived in
North America as a sedate French Catholic tradition with the Le Moyne
brothers,[13] Pierre Le Moyne d’Iberville and Jean-Baptiste Le Moyne de
Bienville
, in the late 17th century, when King Louis XIV sent the
pair to defend France’s claim on the territory of Louisiane, which included what are now the
U.S. states of Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana.[13]
The expedition, led by Iberville, entered the mouth of the Mississippi
River
on the evening of March 2, 1699, Lundi Gras, not yet knowing it was the river
explored and claimed for France by René-Robert Cavelier,
Sieur de La Salle
in 1683. The party proceeded upstream to a place on the
west bank about 60 miles downriver from where New Orleans is today, where a small tributary
emptied into the great river, and made camp. This was on March 3, 1699, Mardi
Gras day, so in honor of this holiday, Iberville named the spot Point du Mardi Gras (French:
“Mardi Gras Point”) and called the small tributary Bayou Mardi Gras. Bienville went on to found
the settlement of Mobile, Alabama in 1702 as the first capital of French
Louisiana
,[14] and in 1703 the
Mardi Gras tradition began with celebrations by the French settlers in that
city.[13][15][16] By 1720, Biloxi had been made capital of Louisiana.
The French customs were introduced there at that time.[13] In 1723, the capital of Louisiana was moved
to New Orleans, founded in
1718.[14] The tradition there
expanded to the point that it became synonymous with that city, and closely
associated with the slogan Laissez les bon temps rouler and
the nickname Big
Easy
.[13] In more recent times
several other U.S. cities without a French Catholic heritage have instituted the
celebration of Mardi Gras.

This was taken from Wikipedia.
So, Mardi Gras is over but the fun doesn’t have to be. Do you like party masks? I do, of course, I told you in my last Annie’s Costume giveaway that I love costumes. I have this beautiful dress that my grandmother made for me. She made the top bodice piece of the dress completely by hand. It is beautiful. She cursed me and said she would never make me another dress again, (she still loves me) It was a lot of work, anyways, I love to wear a mask with it. In the past I made one by hand, so i would have loved to have gotten a mask from Annie’s Costumes.
You can win one! That’s right, you can win one. I recommend you pick out your Easter costume while you are there. They have the cutest baby bunny outfits and some of them are on sale.
