I love my selection. I’m very happy with the quality and professionalism. I had to sign for the package. They aim to please. They have some really cute swimwear as well. Just an FYI, I also found a definition list on their site for the array of lingerie.

Bustier – Corset like garment, but lighter in weight and without the heavy structure of a corset. Bustiers are usually shorter than corsets, ending at the waist, and are often worn on the outside rather than strictly as an undergarment. Some come with G-String, thong or panty.

Camisole or Cami – A short sleeveless undergarment for women. A short negligee sometimes worn as an outer garment (depending on the material) or under a suit jacket.

Charmeuse – A fine, semi-lustrous, satin-like, silky, soft material.

Chemise – A loose-fitting dress type garment without a waist that hangs from the shoulders, typically with a short hemline.

Corset – A close fitting undergarment often tightened with laces. Most corsets extend from the breasts to the hips, and are constructed to enhance the figure by cinching the waist, thereby enhancing the bust and hips. Most corsets are fitted with four or more adjustable garter straps to support the stockings of your choice.

Cuban Heel – A rectangular designed reinforced heel, usually with a reinforced foot and back seam.

Fence Net – A very large net design similar to that of a chain link fence and used for stockings.

Fishnet – A smaller net design, which is taken from the construction of a fisherman’s net, usually made of nylon or nylon-lycra blends.

G-String – A panty with a very thin (string like) band of fabric in the back.

Garters – The clips that attach to the top welt of the stockings are called garters. Generally they are attached to an adjustable elastic strap, which is in turn attached to the garment worn on the waist or body, these are called garter straps.

Garter Belt or Garter Belts – These are garments made for the express purpose of holding up stockings.

Garter Hose – This refers to a garment where a waist band, garter straps and stocking legs are permanently attached in one piece, simulating the use of a garter belt and stockings, but in fact being a one piece garment. You can see an example of this by searching Garterbelt Pantyhose on www.yandy.com

Opaque – The term given to stockings or tights when made of a higher density material, making them less transparent and appear more dense than the lighter choices.

Reinforced – The sections of a garment that have been strengthened by double knitting to provide additional durability. This usually resulted in a darkening of the area, which is then considered a design feature.

Shelf Bra – Comes below the breast to just under the nipple. It’s usually supported and structured though the “boning” process which helps in uplifting the breasts for added cleavage.

Silicone – A rubber like polymer, which maintains its elasticity over a wide range of temperatures. Used inside the lace top of hold-up stockings to cling to the skin and help keep the stocking up without garters

Stay Up Stockings – Stockings that stay up without the need for garters. True hold-ups usually consist of a decorative stretch lace top, with a silicone band inside of the lace to help grip the leg.

Stockings – Although the popular use of this word has come to be “anything worn on the legs” (i.e. pantyhose, hold-ups or tights), we will stick with the more traditional definition. Stockings, as referred to on this web site, are the traditional style that are put on individually and attached at the top to a garter for support. These can come in plain top, satin top, or lace top, but should not be confused with hold-ups, which stay up by themselves.

Tap Pants – Very feminine boxer shorts.

Teddy – A woman’s undergarment combining a camisole top and panties.

Thong – A panty with a small strip or band of fabric in the back. Thongs have more material in the back than a G-string.

Tights – These are pantyhose made of a heavier denier in opaque or semi-opaque materials. They are usually dyed in deep colors and are more sporty and durable than pantyhose.

Underwire – A strip of flatted steel-wire (or other man-made material) placed under the cups of the bra (sewn into the material) for added support.

I saved 96% at Safeway today

I haven’t been shopping at Safeway very much anymore because Albertsons takes whatever coupons I throw at them (almost). I went to Safeway today because they have Pop Tarts on sale for 1.00 a box and I had some left over peelie coupons for 1.00 off. I picked up two cans of refried beans because I had a coupon for 1.10 off of two cans. The cans were 1.59 each.

My total OOP for all you see
.88 cents

I think because I haven’t been going into Safeway very often they decided to give us an extra 10 percent off, other people probably have gotten this special as well. I was in shock. I knew my Pop Tarts were going to be free but I had no idea the beans would be so cheap.

Get your tummy back with Postpartum Recovery

Tonight, I missed it but you can still watch it at MomDot, so be sure not to miss out next week as we learn even more. The topic this week was how to make money on your mom blog. The Recovery is one of the sponsors tonight. They carry some amazing products for postpartum recovery and c-section recovery.

I won tonight even though I was crazy late. I feel a little guilty for winning so I’m posting everything I’m supposed to. I think.

Labors of Love

My family is so loving and we have such a great time together. These are my labors of love.

How do I show my family I love them. I love to be a servant. I know, women’s lib and moms should work, and that’s just not me. I really do love to take care of them and be there for them. My job is to show them how much they mean to me. I cook, clean, do their laundry, now I blog for them. Blogging is also for me, but I have had more opportunities reaching out to others because of blogging. Sometimes I get things for me but I try to find opportunities for things for them. I get this craziness from my granny. Everyone thinks I’m just like her and I take that as a compliment. I hope that one day I can give just as easily as she does. She keeps practically nothing fer herself. I still like to complain and wine a bit.

Now, the best part is my children. They are so loving and they are so little. My husband was at the desk this evening after he got home from work, and I went and gave him a big hug. My daughter came over and said, hug daddy, hug daddy, and she threw her arms around him. I almost started crying. It is so special when our kids show their love.

As soon as my husband got home from work my daughter always says hi daddy and today, my son said, love dada. He is 10 months old. Can you imagine how precious this is? It just, another tear up moment is what that was. So tonight was perfect for this post. We all had wonderful hugs and loving.

This week PBN is collaborating with LIFE – the non-profit Life and Health Insurance Foundation for Education – to bring some important resources to you. Maybe life insurance doesn’t sound like a romantic gift, but it provides financial protection. You can participate by writing your own post about how you and your family show your love.

Getting ready for Birthdays

You know, as soon as Christmas is over we have to start looking at Birthday ideas. My daughter is January 3, my step mom is in Feb, my son’s is in March and my dad’s May 1st and mine is on the 6th. Then we have a break for a while. So planning a birthday party for kids can be a ton of work.

What do you do for a two year old. I mean, we just had her party and it was only family. I’m planning on having a small party for my kids with my MOMS Club this month but I’m really not sure what to do. Maybe some party hats and some kazoos. I found this site for birthday party supplies. I was looking around Birthday Express and I found some monkey designs. Both of my kids are into Monkeys, but one child is turning two and the other is turning one, so should I get this set and find another candle for age one. It’s not even really going to be advertised as a B-day party because I don’t want people to feel like they should bring presents. My kids are already spoiled I mean, loved greatly by mommy and daddy. They do not need anything else.

Oh wait, I just found something even better. My husband is even really excited about it too. A train theme. My husband really wants to get my son a train engineer hat. Oh, wow, I’m excited about this site I’m going to have to look at it more it looks like it has everything you could ever need to throw a party. The prices seem really great too. Has anyone ever used them? I would love to know if they are any good or not. I might just have to go and order a hat from them to find out.
This cup is so cute.

Wii Fit Moms – Fitness Friday

You know, I’m not really a great wii fit mom even now after having my own wii fit. I didn’t take my weight today either. I can’t decide how much I really care today. My mood must be bad. Everybody go give Julie a Hug for making this great fitness regimen, with giveaways and all.

I think I used my wii Fit twice this week. Once Monday and once Tuesday. I played with my kids though and my daughter is so funny. Both my kids are a riot. I guess I’ll just do my weekly summery.

Monday
We went to the library, I did my stylish baby wearing. New Native baby sling and my sunglasses. I felt like a movie star incognito. I’m so full of myself. Then I did a few minutes on the wii fit at home. My daughter didn’t like it at first she was running away from me and the wii. But she saw the soccer balls and wanted to play pooh kicks.

Tuesday
It was a beautiful day, so I don’t think we did the wii. We went for a walk to the mail box. She didn’t want to walk, I think the street scares her and the gravel road is hard for her to balance. She is just like me, she does not want to fall. I didn’t even walk until I was two because I didn’t want to fall.

Wednesday
I did a few minutes on the wii. Actually I worked really hard for 12 minutes. That doesn’t seem very long, I did a run cycle, and some hoola hooping, which my daughter did with me (just a little)

Thursday
Nothing, except running up and down the hall playing hide and seek. I did a lot of work for Bloggers Give today. If you have a sponsor, as them to donate to charity. PLEASE. it’s for The Center for Courageous Kids

Friday
The day hasn’t quite started yet and I can’t even function until I get my cup of coffee. My daughter wants to go to the bus stop play place. We’ll see. Maybe we’ll just wii.

Aloha Friday – Uses

Kailani says “In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that they take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.”

If you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog. Don’t forget to visit the other participants! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends!

My Question:

What is your choice of Social Media?

My answer, I’m really not sure. I like to use twitter, I’m not big on Facebook or Myspace anymore now that I blog, I spend some time at mombloggersclub, and twittermoms. Now I hang out in forums a little bit.

Child to Cherish Review

ctc-green-logoI know I tell you all the time about how I used to work at a children’s boutique, well that’s because I loved it so much. Blogging has given me the opportunity to do what I loved so much about my previous job. Now I get the best of both worlds. I get to be a SAHM, and I get to review products every now and then.

Child to Cherish recently sent me their Tower of Time handprint kit to review. They also sent one to give to BloggersGive. In fact, they were the first company that said yes to me. They seem to be a company very interested in giving to the community because they are also a participant in Extreme Home Makeover. I love companies that give to the community and make a difference. I feel that all of corporate America should give back. Then maybe we wouldn’t be in such a mess.

child2Sorry, back to reviewing such a great company. This item was by far EXCELLENT. I have used different kinds of kits to mix up for homemade hand prints and the mixture turned out so smooth and it wasn’t instantly unusable. I had plenty of time to transfer it to the tin and get it smooth. Then i pushed my daughter’s hand in and made a print. FIRST TIME. I do admit that when I did my son, his came out even better. Here is a picture of the consistancy. It was very even, after dumping it into the tin, you just tap the tin to get the air bubbles out and it will look completely smooth. Clean up was a snatch too, my bowl is still usable for eating.

WOW, and what a great value. You get five years worth of hand prints for 24.99. I know we sold our kit that did one hand print for at least 20.00 if not 30.00. We were an expensive store. These are very easy to make and I can’t wait to make more as gifts for my parents. You can also purchase a single set to create just one hand print. While making hand prints for children is fun, you could also get the pet treasure package. Before we had children my dog was my baby. He was the biggest baby every but he wanted to be in my lap and held. 50 lbs of lovable baby. Check out all of the keepsakes you can find there and save. By using the discount code mst10 you can save 10% on all purchases.

child1They make many other cute treasurable items as well.

For budding artists, patented and exclusive Child to Cherish Crayon Aprons. The washable cotton aprons, available in both a girls and a unisex version include 24 washable crayons to make them more easily accessible and coloring more fun! The girl’s apron is pretty pink, the unisex apron beige with a blue gingham star design and trim. Special crayon pockets are featured on each apron to accommodate crayons. The crayon aprons are available on a hanger in a bag or in a Buttermilk Farm gift box.

They also make the cutest letters to decorate your child’s room with and piggy banks with beautiful color options.

Label Daddy Contest to BlogHer09

OK, after doing the first one I realized I had no sound, so here is take two.

Now that I opened my ottoman and got out some of the boxes of toys that I had put away because they sometimes drive me crazy. I’m going to be spending the rest of the afternoon picking up over 1000 cards, books, domino’s, donuts, and all this could have been avoided if I had some of those labels.

As far as labels go, I could tell you a bunch of different stories about labels and my husband. He likes to label things, but we don’t currently have anything labeled. I think kids make things a little more difficult to get things done. But my husband is off limits when it comes to blogging. ;-)

I could use labels for my diaper bag and children’s belongings. Whenever we go to church we have to label our stuff, and then taking their stickers off leaves that yucky residue, with a personalized label we could have something cute that says who our stuff belongs to.

I also, want to talk about Bloggers Give. This is Trisha’s project but I totally support it. I want to show everyone at BlogHer09 how bloggers can contribute to charity and make a difference. Bloggers Give is currently working with The Center for Courageous Kids. The Center for Courageous Kids is a FREE camp for children with illness or disabilities with medical facilities providing the opportunity for children to be children. It is amazing and I am so excited to be a part of it.

How do I stand out?
I love to be the center of attention, even though some of my friends might call me shy and reserved. I can be loud and crazy and do a dance, I love the chicken dance. That’s the video I should have done right with pictures of Label Daddy all around. Here is my second born. I’m trying to be creative here so my second born wanted to do it instead of my first born. Smiles.
