Fun with my kids at the Children’s Museum

Today, I took my children to the Children’s museum in Seattle.

It was sooooooooo much fun. My kids had a great time and there is so much to do there. We wanted to go when all the other moms in my moms club went, but I had an appointment I completely forgot about so we went with another mom that wasn’t able to go that day.

WOW, my daughter made connections with this mom and her children that she hadn’t made yet with other kids. I was SO amazed as I watched her. I didn’t take my camera because I knew I would be carrying children all day, but I was surprised because I only carried one child. The boy who can’t walk yet (and rightly so he’s only 11 months) They played in the Curious George exhibit and Zoe hugged the statue of George. She also stacked blocks, played putt putt, and watched her brother go down the slide.

My daughter had more energy today than I have ever seen in her. It was no surprise to me that she wanted to go to bed at four pm. She will probably have a lot to tell us tomorrow when she has energy again. I think she walked over a mile.

My son, whom I wore in the sling, tried ever so hard to stay awake the entire time but he could not possibly do it. His eyes were too heavy and he just passed out. He was so cute snuggled up against me. I love it when he is close to me because he is NOT a snuggler like my daughter is.

Who knew how many different things there were at the museum. The place is crazy though.

Aloha Friday – Sunny Days

Kailani says “In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that they take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response”.

If you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog. Don’t forget to visit the other participants!

I’m late this week. Man have I been busy with so many different projects, personal, bloggy type. If anyone comes to my blog, I might be too late in posting this week. How do you stay organized?

I wasn’t getting enough stuff at first for a need to stay organized. Now I am, my husband has me set up with Outlook and it works well, because I get a reminder sent to my phone and to my computer while I’m sitting there being distracted by the Internet a reminder pops up. I know a lot of bloggers us google calendars so that they can share them with each other.

What do you use?

The Mac Rack Review

The Mac Rack is a bible craft. It comes in a plastic bag with everything you need to do the craft. Thanks to Faith Approved and The Mac Rac I have one to review. I received the April Bible Craft 2009.

It really does come with everything you need. You get the glue, the pieces and directions. I do think there should be a bible verse but maybe that is up to the parent to decide. I think for homeschooling mothers this would be worth getting the subscription to. You save money by getting the subscription. I feel that crafting and spending time with your children is very important. They are mirrors at a young age and will do what we do. We should take advantage of that while we can and teach them right.

Assembling the craft took no time at all for me. I can see it taking a child longer and see them having fun doing it. In the end it should Love God. What an important lesson to teach our children, (and ourselves) I know there are lots of verses about loving God.

Potty Training Dance by Pull Ups

I have to share a story with you all. I think my little girl is ready to start potty training. We were in the grocery store the other day and she was walking around following me picking up stuff and throwing it in the basket, and I was putting them back and we were ready to leave. She was lagging behind and I said come one.

She said “pee pee” really loud and started squirming from the middle out. I’m thinking to myself, “what do I do”? We haven’t even started training her and she looks like I need to rush her to the bathroom? So I just let her be, she had a diaper on.

Kimberly Clark is working with M80 and they are having a giveaway to help promote their new campaign, the potty training dance I entered with my little store above. You should go enter, and enjoy this video.

We haven’t had a nightmare yet. And I’m going to be having my own giveaway with them soon. Be on the look out, we’ll be giving something Kimberly Clark makes away.

Another Post About Shoes

I LOVE KEEN shoes. Keen would have to be my favorite brand right now. I love them in the evening and in the afternoon, I love them in the morning and underneath the moon…..

No, really, I do love these shoes. I try to sell them even though I am no longer a shoe sales person. Keen Shoes are not an American brand, and they are for more rugged areas, but I think they are trying to bust out into everywhere.

It rains a lot and the average temp is around 50. I get so cold. I found a new pair of Keen Shoes that are like house shoes, they are like socks at the top, and then they are very bendable and still have the Keen trade mark toe. Love them and my feet are warm. It’s a win win all around.

Now, my son he is wearing merrell shoes. I like Merrells because they are also great for this type of weather we have around here. They have a few different styles. Actually they have a ton of styles. You can find the moccasin type, which is what Miles crawls around in. they are great because they don’t wear very quickly. So his crawling does not tear them down.

They have the mary jane style, which is what I got on clearance for my daughter at REI. OH HOW I LOVE TO SHOP. I love to shop for deals. Now for me, I have the dressy shoe style. I bought them for work, they are fancy. Good thing I had a discount at the time. I couldn’t spend that much on them. OUCH.

For men they have a very rugged outdoor tennis shoe which I think is very popular around here. Oh and they make clothes as you can see by this lovely jacket picture on the right.
