When I think of home improvement I think of HGTV and TLC. My favorite shows that I’m willing to admit that I watch are on those two channels. I really enjoy The Next HGTV Star. I love watching people make home improvements on their houses. I dream of all the things I can do to my house. My house needs to fall into a whole and someone needs to come in here and just start from scratch. This is just what I have been looking for. We are trying to do many different projects on our house, including landscaping. And we are having major struggles, between us (My husband and I), because he can’t visualize what I want and I can’t see what he wants, this would be perfect for us.

This software package will help me figure out how many walls, if any, will be needed to be knocked out to accomodate a kitchen island. It will also help me max out my closet space by allowing me to see how I can bump out a closet into an an existing room without sacrificing the integrity of the architecture of our home. I love that you can import your own digital photos and test things out before you spend the cash. We are thinking of repainting, this would be awesome.
Oh I really could use this, I’ve been renovating my old originial log cabin now for 20 years. Now that the structural issues are addressed I do need help with decorating and paint. I just painted a guest room and I didn’t like the color so I had to repaint. This program could help me save money

Oh, I really would love this! Some of our landscaping is embarrassingly haphazard, and it would be wonderful to have it look somewhat intentional and beautiful.
I would really benefit from these because we recently remodeled the inside of our home, doing all the work ourselves. In the Spring we plan on doing the outside including landscaping etc. I have spent countless hours on the net for ideas and this would really help. Thanks.

This is exactly what I need — a renovation software package aimed at homeowners, not architects. I bought a product from Ebay that promised to be user-friendly — well, maybe if that user is a computer programmer! We’re making many needed changes to our 35-year-old home, including much-needed landscaping, and this would be perfect.

I've just purchased my childhood home from my parents who have lived there for over 40 years and it needs a major remodel. The HGTV Home & Landscape would help me go from room to room, then the move outside to the landscaping. The software would give the details I need to proceed.

It can help me put together a landscape plan that I can work towards creating bit by bit. Currntly I buy what I like, plop int in the ground and then around September wonder where the mad jungle came from!

Like everyone else, we need to pinch pennies — made more difficult by having a large yard AND a Home-Owners Association which will give us significant grief if we don’t keep it “just so”.
The ONLY waiver they allow is if we completely xeriscape, go with no-irrigation landscaping, which saves on yard maintenance AND water bills too!
And xeriscaping is like any other “visual” design approach — it absolutely helps to have a “visual” tool so you can “discuss” your design ideas!
ANY time we are reduced to waving hands and drawing pictures to communicate “no, I mean in this room we should try to do THIS!” we’re going to get nowhere fast, unless we have a graphic tool to handle the stuff that ~I can’t DRAW~! I thank you, my husband thanks you, my therapist thanks you, etc etc!

We live in a house built in 1946. The last major upgrades were made in 1967, so you might say we are starting at square one. I have trouble visualizing how things would look. I watch most of the home design and renovation shows, but my lack of imagination still inhibits me. None of the rooms are configured like mine, so what works with one room will not work with my rooms. I am amazed at what Barry can come up with on his computer.
