HGTV – Giveaway

When I think of home improvement I think of HGTV and TLC. My favorite shows that I’m willing to admit that I watch are on those two channels. I really enjoy The Next HGTV Star. I love watching people make home improvements on their houses. I dream of all the things I can do to my house. My house needs to fall into a whole and someone needs to come in here and just start from scratch. But, I am very grateful with the state of the economy that I have a roof over my head and food on our table.

Tori Johnson, On behalf of HGTV, contacted me and offered me a chance to review the HGTV Home Design And Landscape Platinum Suite. What an honor it was to review!

This software is quite detailed. It is designed for every day average people. You install it on your computer and then you take pictures of what you want to improve in your house. Do you dislike your furniture but can’t buy new stuff. Want to see what colors would look better on your walls than what you have? Don’t have the imagination to visualize it? Look no further.

“At HGTV, we are committed to providing the ideas, inspiration and tools our
viewers need to transform their living spaces,” said Jim Samples, president,
HGTV. “These new comprehensive software products are wonderful resources you
can use to create thoughtful and polished home and room designs.”

“The quality and functionality of HGTV’s design software makes it a great
investment for consumers looking to plan their own home design projects,” said
Roger Bloxberg, CEO of Nova Development, publisher of the new software titles.
“Our goal is to provide consumers with easy-to-use software that produces
professional-looking results.”

You can easily find information on how to use the software through their tutorial and direct links in the software to other website for help. One of the features I found extremely helpful was the paint calculator. There have been so many trips to and from the hardware store getting paint. My husband and I have no idea what we are doing when it comes to home improvement. This software is sure to save you time and money when it comes to making your own home improvements. You can even order the paint on-line if you like. I wish this software would send someone out to my house to do all of the painting for me as well.

The software is available at http://homedesignsoftware.tv/ and through major retailers nationwide. For a limited time, you can enter a sweepstakes to win a makeover worth $10,000. To register for the sweepstakes or for more product information, visit www.hgtv.com/software.

To enter my giveaway, well, it is still sponsored by HGTV you need to visit http://homedesignsoftware.tv/ and www.hgtv.com/software tell me what you think this software can do for you and your home.

We are remodeling our house and this would really help us out.
Also our landscaping is horrible right now and could really use some good ideas. Happy Holidays.

  4. Lisa says

This would definitely come in handy. We are planning on painting the whole house and rearranging our furniture. Thanks for the great giveaway!

  5. Kattzzz says

My house burnt down and since I’m going to rebuild on another spot I’m going to have to reconfigure my whole landscaping.

  6. Sheila says

This would be great so w could actually see a project before we start it and I decide I hate it! We are working on updating our house to get ready to downsize!

  7. joni chadwell says

Oh please,,I have a list,,landscaping the front of the house, build a garage and attach to the existing house, raise our floor in what is going to be my new kitchen, and also we will have to raise the roof to accomadate the raised floor and we will be putting in a new radiant heating system…Phew!

  8. Amy says

I love being to visualize possibilities – colors, furniture choices and arrangements – and its from actual photoss – not just drawings

  9. Jo says

I am terrible at visualizing what something would look like ahead of doing it. This would be really nice to help with wheter we should take out a half wall or not. And I might even be able to make my gardens looks more like they belong to my yard

  10. Kathy says

I have so many plans in my head, and pictures cut from magazines, but this would help me to incorporate my ideas. Since it also can help with landscaping…do you think it could get rid of the 30 year old MGB’s that my husband hasn’t gotten around to working on that “decorate” my back yard? HA!

  11. anny32 says

my honeys house needs landscaping real bad and he has a lot of area to cover this would make it alot easier to view the whole picture. thanx

  12. Colengal says

It can help me put together a landscape plan that I can work towards creating bit by bit. Currntly I buy what I like, plop int in the ground and then around September wonder where the mad jungle came from!

  13. Cathy says

My husband is the do it yourself type, but finds it hard to visualize the ideas he has in his head. This would be wonderful for him!ashlyn@chuparkoff.com

  14. flared0ne says

Like everyone else, we need to pinch pennies — made more difficult by having a large yard AND a Home-Owners Association which will give us significant grief if we don’t keep it “just so”.

The ONLY waiver they allow is if we completely xeriscape, go with no-irrigation landscaping, which saves on yard maintenance AND water bills too!

And xeriscaping is like any other “visual” design approach — it absolutely helps to have a “visual” tool so you can “discuss” your design ideas!

  15. Mollie G. says

ANY time we are reduced to waving hands and drawing pictures to communicate “no, I mean in this room we should try to do THIS!” we’re going to get nowhere fast, unless we have a graphic tool to handle the stuff that ~I can’t DRAW~! I thank you, my husband thanks you, my therapist thanks you, etc etc!

  16. Lee Allport says

We are moving into a new home in a few months and I would love to have this to create a beautiful landscape around our new home.

    Lee :)

  17. ihchicky says

We are planning quite a bit of redesign for our house and this would be great. It’d help a lot with figuring out a color scheme.

  18. bndraldy says

We live in a house built in 1946. The last major upgrades were made in 1967, so you might say we are starting at square one. I have trouble visualizing how things would look. I watch most of the home design and renovation shows, but my lack of imagination still inhibits me. None of the rooms are configured like mine, so what works with one room will not work with my rooms. I am amazed at what Barry can come up with on his computer. I have often wished I had a program like that to help me out! Well, you found it for me!!! Thank you for the opportunity to participate in this giveaway! Wishing you a Happy Holiday Season!

  19. lisawonbig says

Our house has no sense of order, and I’ve no ideas regarding storage space. There has to be a better way! This may offer much needed help!
