Hallmark Software Giveaway

December 4, 2008 · Filed Under Hallmark, Scrapbook, Software, photoshop, pictures, review
Buying holiday cards can be expensive. One way to save money would be to make them yourself. I don’t really have the time to make cards myself. I have two kids, babies as a matter-of-fact. I’m up to my ears in poo poo some days. I’m sure all moms feel this way.

Hallmark Card Studio Deluxe 2009 has been released and is ready to save us money and time. I was given a copy to review. This is a great software package for making cards. They also have a scrapbook making studio.

Features listed from their website:

  1. Photo Cards and Photo Calendars
  2. Animated User Interface
  3. 3D Cards and Projects.
  4. Easy to Use!
  5. A tutorial gets you started fast.
  6. 9,000+ Hallmark Greeting Cards and customizable projects
  7. 16,000+ Spectacular Graphics
  8. Search projects by design theme or occasion.
  9. Complete Hallmark sentiment library

It is so easy to use this software. I installed it, the installation took a while, but look what all had to be installed. I didn’t even need the tutorial because it was so easy to use. I found being able to search the projects and graphics by theme or occasion to save me even more time. I picked a Thanksgiving Holiday theme and was able to change everything I wanted to change. I was able to easily change the sizes of the graphics and tilt them in any direction I wanted to. I chose a heart and I rotated and was able to put a picture of my kids in it. Simple.

I have Photoshop, and I find it difficult to learn how to use. I have used it in the past because that is what we have.

Pick your project, design it and print it.

I love Hallmark software. I had the very first version and it was the least intimidating way to work on self-made cards at the time. Really fun. It looks like they have expanded a lot since then. My favorite would be the scrapbook software they now carry.

  57. lfhpueblo on December 12th, 2008 4:01 am

I can tell you this, being in a secret sister club, whether at church or other can get a little costly buying cards. Not only that they don’t always say what you’d really like them to say. I like the fact that with this program, you can click on the text to change it to what you want to say, for example a Bible Verse. I also like that there are Theme groupings because it really speeds up finding what you need when you are rushed for time, or things haven’t gone the way you planned that day. I think this program could easily save me $120+ a year in cards and I don’t even have a large family. It would also save me about $120 a year in Church member card needs (Pastor Appreciation, Get Well, Thank You, Birthday, Secret Sister Cards and Christmas Cards).
