Circus Stars under Big Tent

December 12, 2008 · Filed Under Uncategorized

Welcome to my circus. Yes, my life as a SAHM of two children under the age of two that are not twins is a full blown circus. Well, we can’t forget the crazy German Sheppard Jack; that runs under my feet tripping me all the time too. I mean, if you look at my floor it looks like a circus came to town. There is stuff, no, there are toys everywhere. Bright purple here, a rocking horse there and we’re all packed into our little house like clowns in a clown car.

The Parent Bloggers Network has teamed up with Big Tent this week for the Blog Blast.

Big Tent is a website that gets groups organized. I was using Meetup.com and then I found a group of moms that is using Big Tent and it works much better. I also have a group that was using yahoo. They are a frugal group that shares a lot of information about saving money. They moved to Big Tent. I was afraid to make the move with the yahoo group because I had everything set up for my group with the moms and I was terrified it was going to lose all of my moms or I would only be allowed to join one group. Well, I took the plunge and joined both groups. The next time I logged into Big Tent, both of my groups were there. I could see my integrated calendar with both set of group events. I also have the ability to just see one group at a time. The only thing they are missing is the ability to download the calendar into my outlook then it would be an 11 out of 10. I love the way Big Tent works. It is so easy to choose how much e-mail you get and what format. You have got to go sign up, esp if you moderate a group. Oh, plus by signing up you are eligible for a prize

For any group leaders who start a group on or move to BigTent by December
31, Compass will provide a free one month membership ($19 value) to Compass
Coaching Network, and all new group leaders will be entered in a grand prize
drawing for a “Life Makeover” private coaching series ($1500 value).

Now, PBN wants to know what I’m planning on doing next year to organize my circus. The Momstart circus is going to be using BigTent or activities and putting them into outlook every month by hand. I have to have them where they will pop up at the beginning of every day. I’m going get my lazy self out of bed in the morning so that I’ll be up before the children are so I can make breakfast. I have a problem with having time for me to eat. Mom has to be done when they are done and I have to feed them, so I know that if I get up earlier I’ll be able to be more organized.
I should make a chore schedule too, but that means I have to do the chores. We don’t want to make any renovations, we just want to move out of our clown car, but we have to wait for the economy to turn a bit first. Of course, I think my life will be a zoo from now until the day both of my children move out of my house. My son doesn’t even walk yet and my daughter is just starting to climb. So I think my circus is about to turn into a three ring circus.
