What are your family Christmas traditions?

Growing up I always loved piling up in the family car and goign out to view Christmas lights. We had to drive an hour but it was worth it. The neighborhood we went to was HUGE and the whole place decorated for the Holidays. Each street had a theme. It was so much fun.

Now what do we do, well before we had kids we would do different things.

Sometimes we would go to Texas, or I would go by myself. When we stayed in Washington, we never waited until Christmas to open presents anyway. That isn’t what Christmas is.

So now, we have a Christmas book that tells the story of the birth of Jesus. It is a touch and feel book and we read it to Zoe, now we will read it to both of the.

We like to fill Stockings up with goodies. Both my husband and I have fond memories of stockings. It took us four hours last year to open presents because it was so fun doing it ALL with our daughter.

She even opened the dog’s stocking.

we love looking at Xmas lights as well! When you have babies in the house it does tend to be an all day event when it comes to them opening their gifts! They can get overwhelmed so easily!

I LOVE the stocking but every year my hubby “forgets” to fill mine. It’s better to me than the presents under the tree!

We had to do the hour drive last year because we got ready to go out and look at Christmas lights around out town….and the power went off. It was worth it though
